Good story, but reading is waaayy too slow!
I enjoyed the story but had to listen to it at 2x speed. Why such slow narration? I couldn't tolerate it at regular speed, even if I did want to know how the story ended.

    Legon awakening
I really tried to listen this podcast but finally gave up from bored frustration. This story may well be good but it sounds as though he is reading to a two year old. If he tripled his read rate I would give this a much better rating.

It has a good plot, but that isn't enough to redeem it.
K, so I kept listening up to episode ten because I thought that the plot had promise. There are several things that made me stop listening. A. The atrocious grammar. Taylor needs to learn the difference between is and are, was and were, and have and has. The syntax was rather awkward as well, filled with redundancies that made the story painful to listen to. B. It appears that he is attempting to imitate Tolkein's style. Unfortunately he does this rather miserably. His insertion of detail is awkward and rather unnecessary. Rather than reminding me of Tolkein, it reminds me of Interview for a Wizard--albeit much worse--which isn't a compliment as English isn't J.A. Arreces mother tongue. C. The narration literally puts you to sleep. There have been times when I've been listening to this pod cast during the middle of the day and fallen asleep listening to it. Taylor should put more life into his narration like Scott Sigler does, or maybe he should try full cast audio and spare us the monotonous drone of his voice.

    Over All a great story
This really is a good story. However, only had one problem the reading was a little slow. Give it a try if you can get past the slow read you will like the story.

Super story, slow but well worth listening to!
Yes, all right, the grammar leaves a LOT to be desired. The speed is slow. Very Slow. But if you can let yourself get past that and listen to Mr. Taylor's story, you will be glad you did. It's original and fun, exciting, and I can't wait for the next book to come out! The ONLY reason I couldn't give a fifth star was because of the speed/grammar issues but am glad I saw past those to this gem of a story.

    Can't do it
I have listened to almost every episode of this podcast, but I have finally been driven away by the repeated grammatical errors (was instead of were) and slow, incorrectly inflected speech. These things have grated on my nerves so badly that I can't listen to any more episodes. However, the story is actually pretty good, and if there is a print version I'd say it's worth picking up. I'd rather spend money on a paperback or ebook than listen to this recording for free.

    Waayyy tooo slow...
I heard a promo for the book on another podcast and thought it sounded like it might be a good story. The problem is that I couldn't even get into the story because the reading is so very slow and so monotone that you lose the story thread after a few minutes into each episode. I ended up deleting all the episodes that I downloaded because it was so disappointing and aggravating to try and listen to.

    overall a great story
The narrating is a little slow but that aside it's a great story. I would definitely reccomend it.

    Too slow.
It was putting me to sleep. The readers voice is too slow and monotone. I just could not get into the story because of this. If the way the story is read does not bother you it would probably be an interesting story.

    Pretty darn good!
If you like Murder at Avedon Hill, you will like this podcast. I do have to agree that Nick needs to read a little faster.

    Trust me subscribe now!
There are already names of legend in Podiobooks. Scott Sigler, Tee Morris, to name a couple. Thanks in no small part to their pioneering spirt we are starting to see exponential growth in podiobooks. I believe Nick will be one of the next wave of authors to make it. Legon Awakening is a polished and provocative first effort. The recording quality if first rate. The character voices and pacing are very good. The character development and story are unfolding nicely. I guess the best praise I can give it is the fact no matter what time of day I get the new episode I am compelled to listen to it ASAP. And so should you!
