I’m happy you guys are moving on to do other things but I’m really going to miss you guys. Long the listener since the Alex days, as I was a fan of Diggnation. Stumbled upon this podcast and listened to every episode. I was bummed when Alex left last year, but Maude has been a great replacement. Alison and Tom have always been great, but I really love Maude and her puns. Good luck with your future endeavors and rest assured, I will support and follow what you three will be doing in the future. Especially you, Maude.

So I used to love this show back in the day, you know back when they would actually talk about science and interesting stuff, however since Maude has joined the show, I simply cannot listen and enjoy the show the way I use to. Now this is nothing against Maude I am sure she is a wonderful person. However I could do without her judgemental comments whether it’s about people who eat meat or on people’s religion. Her double standards on things are just ridiculous, I am a female writing this and even I have to shake my head in the way she portrays feminists. It’s okay for her to make off the cuff comments regarding men’s looks and features but if someone even mentions a woman in that way she gets super offended. Women are stronger than ever and she just gives feminism a bad name, I have been a fan Alison since her g4 days, I became a bigger fan of her and Alex with their show 4 points, I absolutely adore Alison I will always be a fan of her! however I feel like all she talks about now are parties she was invited to by her super famous friend and what projects her friends are up to and how amazing those projects are like we get it you are connected into Hollywood. Maybe Alison has dumbed herself down to make Maude feel comfortable I really don’t know, I mean I know this podcast always had its pee-pee joke humor but now it’s completely like listening to 2 college sorority girls talking about their weekends, I listen on occasion now but its definitely not the show it once was and I sorry if I came off harsh again I am sure Maude is a wonder person I didn’t mean any ill will towards her but that is my opinion. PS I love Tom he is definitely the one constant on the show, he is a sweetheart and super funny!

I grew up in Las Vegas. My mom left to New York to remarry her ex husband. She felt OK leaving me behind because I was out of high school and had a job as an Electrician working at a pretty big company. I Fell in love with a crazy beautiful girl who cheated on me and sent 4 people to jump me when I outed her. She was a master manipulator. I beat them all up pretty badly. When the cops came I was the one arrested and sent to jail for 2 weeks because I had no bail money. When I got out I lost my job, the person who I was renting a room from kicked me out because he thought I was a criminal, and my car disappeared. Still don’t know whatever happened to my car. I vouch surfed until my mom finally sent me a plane ticket. I relocated to NY and never really put down roots and made a group of friends. I met my wife moved to Jersey and now her friends are my pseudo friends. When I listen to this podcast it’s like sitting around and drinking with some life long friends. Thank you for that feeling.

Every Monday morning before I back out of the driveway, I pull up the latest episode of HHHH. It’s the perfect way to start the week, and I’m so glad that Maude is a part of the show now. Quite frankly, she’s the best part of the show since Alex left at the end of 2018, and she’s a welcomed addition. The only reason that I’m giving 4 stars is because there are too many ads, but if that’s what it takes to keep the show coming, I’ll take it.

I was looking for a new podcast to entertain me while I worked and stumbled on this through Nerdist. I love it! I’m in the process of going back and listening to ALL the episodes (it helps that they’ve only been doing this for a year). It’s pretty much just what I was looking for, but man…..I wish each episode was either longer, or that there were more a week. Like…one released on a Monday, and then one on a Wednesday to get me through the rest of the week. BID...Alison, Alex, and TSVK are my new favorite people to listen to. :::UPDATE TO INCLUDE MAUDE::: Not gonna lie, I was SUPER upset when Alex left the show. Not that I didn’t enjoy the antics of Maude when she came to Drunksmas (I still find myself randomly thinking about the spider she frequently saw on “the dunny door”, and start chuckling out loud), but I was just so into the trio of A-squared and Tom. Now that she’s been on the show for nearly a year, I absolutely ADORE Maude and am so pleased to have her as part of the show. It is still my favorite podcast and I look forward to it each and every Monday.....or at least binge listening when I’ve been busy and missed a couple of weeks.

Update: Thought I’d add that I am still enjoying the podcast - Maude is really cool and it seems like Tom adds even more to the conversations now. I do miss Alex, but the show is just as great. First review: I look forward to every Monday morning listening to Alison, Alex and Tom while I have coffee and breakfast. It makes heading off to work a little easier. In hindsight, maybe I should listen AFTER work with a beer or glass of wine... Either way, it’s my favorite podcast and it keeps me laughing!

An OG listener from day 1 and love the podcast. Makes my Monday more tolerable when I see it has downloaded. Love what Maude has brought to the podcast and will follow anything Alison does (wink wink nudge nudge). Tom, keep the one sentence stories up.

I have been listening since year 2 and this podcast just keeps getting better. It’s like catching up with your friends every week for 30ish minutes and you don’t even have to talk. Just don’t listen at work if your boss hates laughter. Thank you so much Alison, Maude, Tom and Aristotle. Alex also participated.

I binged this from episode 1 and laughed the whole way through. Both pre and post Alex episodes are equally funny, but I do miss the more science? heavy content.

I've been listening to this since day one, I'll start with that this podcast is super popular at being awesome. Biggest complaint is that it is a weekly podcast and or not longer... B.I.D it really is a great show and hilarious.... adding a new portion to review for Maude to read, she’s a great addition/edition to the show. Well it’s weird she hasn’t had real lemon aid yet...

I don't know why people are complaining about the new format, I love it. I'll admit it, I use to be an obnoxious fan, I was always sending emails and tweeting to everyone. However since they added Maude I find I have nothing to add to the show since I don't know that much about Australia and I don't know any celebrities. I haven't sent an email in over 8 months and rarely tweet to them anymore. Even worse I use to jump out of bed on Monday morning and had to listen right away, now a week can go by before I finally getting around to checking it out, I no longer worry about missing something and not commenting on it right away. Since I no longer have anything to contribute I just listen. The new format has made me a better fan. Thanks HHHH!

I enjoy this podcast! Alison is enthusiastic and entertaining. Maude is fairy new to the podcast yet, brings a classic feel to the show. Tom is the only man I know who’s gets paid for one sentence stories. Kudos to everyone involved! P.S.- James Smith not Meatcrabs . Idk why it says that 😆

Full disclosure: I listen to Podcasts to lull me to sleep and cannot sleep through the night. This Podcast shows up in my notifications in the middle of the night. 4HLN is the one show to which I cannot sleep through. Love your personalities and Maude is a great addition. I miss Alex and all but man, he talked about his car way too much. Maude’s the one true Big Pun!(because you’re tall, Shiela don’t get your knickers in a twist) The changes, I feel have been for the better. Alison and Tom are always a joy as well. I’ve been a fan of Alison’s since G4 and miss AOTS! Anyway, you asked and here’s my 2 cents. Keep it up!

Listening to this show is, in my opinion, the best way to start off the week. Alison, Maude and Tom (and podcat!) deliver fun anecdotes, stories, reader emails and news in a fun and enjoyable presentation. They’re a great team together and it’s awesome to hear about their different life experiences and opinions. Huge fan of the show and look forward to my Monday commutes to listen to the show!

Dear HHHH crew, Hi Maude! 👋🏻😊 I’m leaving this review to say thank you for always being a bright spot at the beginning of my week. I always look forward to listening and laughing along with you all and have recently converted my girlfriend into a fan. I have been listening since the OG days and while I miss Alex, the addition of Maude brought a new dynamic to the show and we are all the better for it. Alison was one of my first tv-personality/host crushes I had from since the g4 days (Andy is a lucky man). I have been a fan since and have enjoyed following her career. She’s extremely charming and witty, and has a tremendous sense of humor. I always love we she needs out about SPACCCCE. Maude has been an absolute gem since day 1. Her quirky, awkward, yet carefree attitude epitomizes everything that the show is. I thoroughly enjoy her tangents as she always leaves me laughing hysterically. The banter between the three of you is something I look forward to hearing each week and I anxiously await after each episode. She also played a large part in converting as she has a bit of a crush on her (understandably so). Tom is probably my favorite of the show as he is, as the kids put it, my spirit animal. His interjections during Alison and Maudes conversations never fail to make me crack up. He is truly living the dream by sitting around drinking with his two hot friends and telling jokes. Also, incase you’re wondering, the title of my review is a reference to Canadian rock band Alexisonfire whose are affectionately referred as “Theonlybandever” by their fans. If you decide to look them up be careful with the typing (no spaces) as that is/was also the name of a contortionist porn star. I absolutely love Alison, Maude and Tom. I always stop what I’m doing whenever I see the podcast is up. My only regret is that it’s only 30-ish minutes because I could listen all day. Maude Bless You.

I wish this was a more popular podcast. Alison, Alex (RIP) Maude and (my favorite, sorry not sorry) Tom are hilarious together and way less annoying than most podcasts. Everyone should try this and make it super popular at podcasts.

Been a fan for years of this podcast. The OG version and the current. It is always a good way to start the week with a Monday listen. From, Barry “Pepper” (as Alex said)

I’ve been a huge fan of Half Hour Happy Hour since the beginning. I’ve followed both Alex & Alison over the years, loving everything they each do. It was awesome to hear them together for years. In 2019 the show changed in two ways: (1) Starburns Audio spammed the hell out of the show with an excessive ad load, and (2) Maude took over for Alex. I was happy to hear the show would continue after Alex left, and interested to hear how the “ladies night” format would go. After several months of Alison & Maude, I have now determined this show just isn’t for me anymore. I don’t find the topics very interesting, and I find Maude to be very closed-minded. We used to have interesting people discussing the week’s news with a few anecdotes from their lives; we now have a show that is mostly just weekly updates on Alison & Maude’s life. I just don’t care much about the topics that get discussed, and don’t find Maude’s perspectives all that interesting. I am sure there are listeners that prefer Maude over Alex, and that’s great. But this is no longer the show I signed up for, so I have unsubscribed.

It’s talk about geeky stuff , gaming, movies, and so much more... with Alcohol... I mean, I wish I could drink at work ;). Love the 4H Crew!

....but it used to be a great one. This is nothing against Maude Garrett, who is hilarious in her own right. But the feel of the old show, that it was just Alex and Alison (and Tom) having a casual chat in Alex's garage, is lost. It's now a professional show, in a studio, not self-produced, and it doesn't feel like an organic chat among friends any longer. Now, it just feels like they're checking off the boxes each episode -- let's chat a little bit, let's read two emails and do one story, ok goodbye! I'll keep listening -- this is still one of the podcasts in my regular weekly rotation, and I don't see that changing. But wow, I wish Alex would come back.

I had been a devout listener of this show from the beginning but then Alex left. I kept listening hoping for the best but no more. The chemistry just isn’t the same and Alex is sorely missed. I’ll check back from time to time to see if Alex returns but until then not really worth my time.

I’ve been a listener of HHHH since the beginning and although I’m sad Alex had to leave, I love the addition of Maude. Carry on the good work ladies (and Tom).

It’s great! Very digestible in length and always so freaking funny! I haven’t listened in a few month la so I was slightly upset when I heard Alex was leaving 😭😭😭😭 but Maude does not disappoint!! Keep it up!

I loved the old show with Alex. The three hosts had amazing chemistry and it just worked. Now we have a new host who I'm guessing never heard the show. Having tom explain long running jokes is not fun. I get that Alex had to leave, but I'd rather have good memories of a once great show then what it has become. To be clear Alison and tom are awesome!

Much in the realm of one of my favorites from the past and the podcast that began my podcast listening life, Diggnation, this one fills my void. The trio brings back the chemistry much like the guys had on The Totally Rad Show! All apologies to Prather and Glenn.

So the key words you need to know. I’m a scientist? Science science science. Spiders. Tesla. SpaceX. Elon Musk. Drunk. Combine any of those and you get a wacky story that will often have laughing hard enough to make your coworkers give you weird looks. It’s all worth it though. This trio, that’s right they have a third member that’s apparently was taking their cover photo, is comedy gold.

Used to love this podcast, listening since episode one because I’m a longtime fan of Alison Haislip. Over the last several months, it’s drifted away from its tried and true formula and has become a soapbox for Alex to brag about what expensive purchase he’s recently made. Teslas, solar power grids, Bitcoin mining machines, iPhone X’s, overpriced engagement rings...you name it. Alex has bought it and wants you to know. Think I’m going to take a break from the show and see if it ever gets back on track at a later date.

I’ve been a fan of both Allison and Alex for a long time. Didn’t take long to love Tom Super Volcano either. Hilarious and short news stories that create their own cannon over time. I live for the Drunksmas episodes(editions!).

I really enjoy listening to Alex, Alison, and Super Volcano. I look forward to it every week it is great for keeping me happy doing cardio n those tough Monday's in the gym

Alison, Alex and Tom are what make my Mondays great. Super funny, Alison’s not too surprising stories on what happens in her life. One sentence stories from Tom and Alex’s relatable obsession with tech and Tesla keeps me coming back. It’s only once a week but that’s a good thing as I would fear for their livers. It’s a podcast you would like to have with your non nerdy friends at happy hour but I digress...

I threw this against the the wall to see if it sticks and it did!!! Not sure if that means it's a well cook noodle or if it's previously ingested food that has traveled through the Bowles of humanity and reaped of all it's nutrients?

Love the randomness and back and forth.

I am thankful for 30ish minutes of laughter every week from this motley crew. The inside jokes and community building has been outstanding. This podcast is like an inside joke that is desperate for everyone to be in on.

Fun and informative. The reason podcasts exist and a nice start to each week.

Love this show and the unique stories they share. Best trio in podcasting IMO.
