    Funny
Jonny is hilarious and his podcast is no different. Super informative when it comes to all types of tractors and dump trucks.

    i agree with nostradamus [metatarcels]
each year passes me by and my feet inevitably get so dry. then i recall the sloppy hog puddle that daddy made with the wheel of his big red truck in the mud out back. i go ankle deep in the hole and it feels like home. that tire gouge mudhole means everything to me. thanks daddy.

    Best Construction Worker Content Around!
Tractors, big trucks, garbage trucks, construction workers galore. I could start my own construction company at this point. It’ll have a website and I’ll give this podcast props in the about us section.

    Executive Buffet Requires Keypad Entry
It’s always a smooth ride in daddy’s big red truck on the way to the executive buffet, where the sneeze guards are handcrafted from recycled fun-house mirrors.

    Truck Too Big
Hey Kevin, long-standing buffet attendee here. The quality of the platters and drink station isn’t what it used to be; the hot entrees are always top notch however, befitting me & fellow execs. Keep up the good work. Moreover, I’ve struggled with the size of the truck sometimes— it’s hard for me to climb in— but plenty of room for all of us, and Daddy always swerves around the big potholes, which is quite considerate.

    nostradamus of metatarsals
it has been years since i first put hands on the branch and daddy came, and picked me up in the big red truck and took me to the Executive Buffet, and i have again and again reached for that branch, and quietly bounced along the unpathed [sic] road with daddy driving fast. peering into my microscope, alternately stifling raucous laughter and tears of compassion, noting the presence of lesions or candidiasis, and nodding at Mr. Tipcorn’s sagacity, perhaps quietly muttering “thats true,” or Jason Pepperhouse could be twisting the wind inside my car speakers and im just on I-10 passing through El Paso and i might shout “solar plexus goddamnit” and twist and shout daddy recently informed me of stress fractures aka “marching fractures” and then shortly after that i realized i had given myself one, so since i cannot deny the extent to which this Premium Quality audio product has resourced me, i hereby initiate resource reverse transfer worth of five stars

    Interesting birthmark fell off
well… this is a first. I was listening to this podcast in the tank and right about when the bird expert coughed up his snack my birth mark slid off my arm like it was dipped in grease or a fine mud and needless to say it saved me a hefty trip to the dermy and you know that gumpy says that penny saved is a penny earned and these days we could all use a couple billion pennys because the big bad oil daddys used all those coins to put in a their acrylic toilets and im sneaking in there at night and clawing at the dang thing like a dog looking for bone that it buried and then it rained and then all the smells went away and then was like what the world is going on and why don’t I understand anything and bones always go and what exactly is a bone and then the dumb dog lays down under the cherry tree and lets out a longass exhale looks up at the barn and dreams about a big man soaked in chicken broth with a big stick and the stick is covered with his dads socks and the guy comes over to him and takes his tongue and put a piece of beef jerky on it and the dog rolls his tongue like a fruit roll up and the dang jerky slides down his throat and his eyes turn immediately into green dollar signs and his legs start shaking and turn into 4 brains in the shape of legs and his legs just slide out to the side because of the wet brain juice and he’s on a hill so he slides down the hill and theirs a ramp down at the bottom and he smokes the ramp and does a 900 and bounces of a tramp and goes right into space and barfs.

    Absolutely a must hear!
Word of mouth brought me here, and after my friend did the wording, I am hearing the mouthing of amazing individuals, hosted by the brightest of his kind, and delivering sweet swells of sloppy summertime thirst quenching slurps of sap for my ear holes! THANKS Johnny!!

    What podcasting should be!
Whether I’m doing the dishes, or in my car doing the dishes, or at work doing the dishes, this is the podcast for me. Funny, interesting and entertaining. My beautiful wife Becca and our hounds also love it.

    Absolutely. Yes!
You just gotta. Give it two or three episodes and you’ll be hooked. Johnny is literally my favorite comedian, and with this show you get a heaping dollop of his humor, his insight, and his way with words. Slide up to the executive buffet!

Dangle yer feet off the back of Daddy’s Big Red Truck
Johnny, I’ve especially dug lately your gardening/ecology/outdoorsy episodes and talks. I fought off an infestation of earwigs nesting in the nodes of my sweet corn leaves this summer. Everything worked out fine.

Best pod since Twisting the Wind
A flood. A fire. A Pemberton. Unstoppable forces, Immovable objects, All the same. Pure Power.

So Good on So Many Levels!
I crave Johnny’s podcasts! I’ve listened to all of Twisting the Wind and I absolutely love Live To Tape! Johnny is so unique in his ability to meld intelligence, comic skill & talent, audio wackiness, musical musings, and a wide range of topics with interesting guests. I truly appreciate his humility, expanded consciousness/perspective, and authenticity! I love his solo podcasts just as much as his discussions with guests. 💓👂🏼

    Work on the questions.
Maybe I’ll try to give this podcast another chance. Johnny Pemberton’s interview with Brad Leone was too awkward. The introduction before the Leone is even on interview was too long. I stopped listening to this interview once Johnny persistently asked about whether Brad was a big kid back then, like if he ate a lot of food. It’s awkward to touch on topics about people’s weight, so I don’t think was a funny and useful question, rude to ask any guest. Doesn’t matter if the guest is overweight or not, it’s just outright unnecessary.

Found Pemberton on YMH a couple months ago, became an instant fan. Just found this podcast and am listening in reverse, and it’s the best.

    Unique podcast but...
Johnny recently had a show in my town and I decided to take my elderly mother for an entertaining night out. They put my father away not too long ago but that’s another story. Anyway, I’m kind of the patriarch of the family now, and she was real excited to go see him. She enjoyed Johnny’s performance in This is 40. Anyway, I was excited to discover that it’s really quite affordable to take a family to see one of his comedy shows. He had a great set. Anyhow, Johnny was greeting fans near the stage after the show and she started heading up there. I spotted a merch table, so I head over there for a shirt while my mother was working up the courage to meet him. A few minutes later, I looked over there again, and I’ll be damned if he hadn’t taken a pitchfork and shoved it right into her side. I was surprised he would treat a paying customer like that, but we’d be glad to get a couple comp tickets the next time he comes through. The podcast is weird though. I wouldn’t know how to describe it.

    Daddy’s big red truck
One of the best podcasts out there. Hilarious, smart, diverse guests, and there’s never a bad episode (Okay maybe Chris Kachulis wanting to sing constantly was rough but it was still a great ep). Hop into daddy’s big red truck and enjoy an amazing podcast. P.S. I love garmbidge trucks and you need to stop telling people otherwise.

    Full of garmbinge
This podcast , featuring , Jimver pepperdick, is so much good for the life of kids and all the likes. I have to say , you will be shocked and amazed at the red trucks of Orville and the buffets that ONLY executives can eat from. But I love this radio cast and I say hello to daddy.

    Johnny’s a gem
Smart, silly, eclectic, oftentimes deep, always engaging... The music selections are always top notch (cool reggae, dance, jazz, R&B, rock, et al). The interviews are insightful and have a free and loose feel. Johnny is humble and knows how to be himself, which is almost unheard of in podcasts. He’s got boatloads of charisma, wit, and curiosity. An oasis in a desert of tryhards.
  • TylerInBoone
You have guests for a reason.
Just listened to the pod from last year ft. Brad Leone. Great talk, but it would’ve been way more listenable if you would’ve held your tongue for more than 3 seconds at a time and let him talk.

Not a bad little cast right here
Hopped on Daddies big red truck and grabbed the nearest branch. I was excited to find that Dad was driving us all to an execrative buffet. The meat was piping hot, and the salad was fresh. No wilting, no lines, no tears, and no funny business. After lunch, we all got back in the truck and drove right into the side of a portal and back out to where we started so we could continue our infinite ride until the end of time. Still riding hard, and still listening hard.
