    My new favorite podcast
I caught Andrew on the Skeptic podcast with Michael Shermer and was spellbound! bought his books, then followed him down the rabbit hole to this! I am a lay person and a science buff for years. I listen to and watch everything science. A lot of the scientists on the other shows suffer from is the ‘curse of knowledge’ and speak with a lot of jargon, assuming you have a science background. What happens on this show is that Julian asks the lay person questions, that makes Andrew break it down. My brain is going hallelujah! Love the show guys. Keep it coming.

    Andrew:
I think you should have done a better job of calling out Tyler on his misconceptions on trump. I know you tried a bit but it could have been better to help shake away misconceptions like human trafficking or other

No one is above providing resources
Although there are quite a few reasonable, enjoyable episodes, it quickly becomes clear just how bias and one sided all the arguments are when addressing various issues. This would be one thing if there was evidence to support their claims, however, as I have seen the "facts machine" spews unbased knowledge that is often incorrect or skewed to support their pre-suppositions without providing true support.

Great podcast Fun fact: Listen to this on 1/2 speed if you wanna hear what Andrew sounds like drunk.

    Compelling conversations
This show is packed with compelling conversation on important topics. Julian is a wonderful and eager point of contact through which the audience enter into complex themes and Andrew is a vastly intelligent straight man. I have seen some reviews which take a harsh look at the podcast through the lens of education. I think the key is that this is a dialogue, an open conversation with opinion. Understanding that is key for the audience. I do not believe that the fact detracts from the quality of the podcast because their opinions are never masquerading as an absolute truth. That being said, this show is at its best when preconceived notions are challenged. I encourage you both to continue to explore outside of your comfort zone and this podcast will continue to be wonderful.

    It had promise
This podcast started off with a lot of promise, but it quickly became an echo chamber for Julian’s very biased view of society, humanity and the world in general. Be prepared to hear how everything is horrible for humanity right now, how we really need to dismantle the concept of “cities” and return to nomadic, hunter/gatherer lifestyles.

If only I could get this level of education at my local bar. Oh, wait
Thank goodness we have this podcast so that the same boring rhetoric can be spouted through the lens of the anthropocentric white American male. Lack of sources, lack of delineation between fact and opinion, and a complete absence of effort with regards to exploring or presenting any intersectional views and experiences make this an embarrassment to the category Education.

    Spellbound has me.... Spellbound 😬
I can’t believe I didn’t know Julian had a podcast! I’m so glad I’ve stumbled upon this and I’m loving the mix of deep thinking, respectful conversation, and humor on subjects that truly ought to be discussed. I simply haven’t found in these qualities in another podcast yet. Keep it up!

    Since you said use your heads (;
From jellyfish to talk show host, I like it! Personally been a big fan of Julien's work in general from the times when he was film making up to present day. A lot of the episodes I’ve listened to are pretty interesting; even heard to them from beginning to end which is pretty difficult for someone like me to do sometimes. I’d give it that fifth star if the conversations were a little more focused—I like the casual talk don’t get me wrong—I just feel like I could hear more factual information from someone calling themselves a professor for example. I like the diversity of the content but sometimes it’s hard to follow everything since the information we hear is pretty eclectic. I’m well aware that philosophy is pretty broad on its own, I guess this just a question of what will we be expecting to hear in the future?

    Episode #7
I just listened to episode #7. Sound quality on guest was awful. I liked the content of the episode very much but made it annoying to listen to the guest voice going in and out, she sounded like she was in a tunnel.

It’s pretty great when Julian isn’t talking
Some amazing guests and an okay host who sometimes dominates the conversation.

    Julian Always Delivers
I’ve followed Julian since he started making videos; listening since around 12 or 13 years old makes him one of the creators I essentially grew up with. While his sketches were always funny, this podcast really showcases his depth, integrity and long-standing wit that has earned him so much respect as an artist and an influential voice. I have always recommended Julian and, given this podcast, will continue to do so. Thanks for making this for me!

    Deep Respectful Discussion
This is always intersting even when I don't always agree with the discussion. It doesn't come across as preachy at all and is like the conversations I always wish I could have.
