    Wonderful storyteller
Before becoming Orthodox, another convert had recommended that I "pick up a Frederica Mathewes-Green book. Any book." I read 'At the Corner of East and Now' and it was beautiful and spoke to my heart. I love this podcast; the way she unfolds a story, her a beautiful way with words, and her calming, melodic voice, which makes listening easy. (I am, however, saddened by the obvious trolling negative reviews, but c'est la internet)

    Helpful for the non-orthodox
I've been listening to Frederica's podcasts for several years and enjoy her calm npr-style of talking. When she talks about her church I learn something as a non-orthodox, but Christian person. I'm also not easily offended so when she gets a little too rah-rah about her church and how great she thinks it is, I let it go.

    Bad
Listened to the bonnaroo podcasts. Should have found out first that this is right wing trash.

Orthodox Lite? If you consider praying while raising kids "lite"
Someone on here said "Orthodox Lite"... I suppose this podcast is not for the athonite monk. It's for regular people striving to be Orthodox as parents, citizens, family members, activists, daily witnesses to the Gospel, etc. So, if you are looking to write your dissertation on the filioque or master hesachyst prayer, I suppose this podcast won't help you. But if you are looking for a (generally) short podcast that is thought-provoking but not provocative and hits on issues most of us here "in the world but not of the world" are dealing with on a daily basis, this podcast is perfect!

    Orthodox lite
Recommends Harry Potter as a Christian allegory. Nuff said.

    Breaking the bread bearer
Sister Frederica "takes, breaks, blesses, and gives" much needed Bread to ALL but especially those of the "household of faith". I am humbled by these messages that shed needed light on the Ancient Church & the modern walk. Amen & Amen!

    Frederica rocks!
As someone just jumping into Orthodoxy, this podcast really opens my eyes to things of great importance. I really look forward to downloading the next podcast!

    Enjoyable
A soothing voice in a damaged, destructive world. Thanks.
