Close your eyes. Open your mind. You will be unprepared. Sucker Punch is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors. Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey - if they succeed - will set them free.

  • (Welshy)
    Why?
Why would there be a podcast for such a disastrously horrid movie with no plot and pathetic character development?

this is just a taste ...
This video contains one of the many musical fantasy numbers in the movie SuckerPunch. This one is a fantasy nightclub sequence and watching it, you can get just a taste of the style of the movie. It's rich in color and dancing and very stylish. Most of the movie takes place in a young girl's mind ... it's her fantasy, and it features lots of eye-candy. the movie is a very good fantasy and contains at least three films-within-film. The fantasy films are a nerds wet dream and contain everything from WWII to robots to Samurai to Lord of the Rings, all done steam-punk style. It's a great Saturday afternoon popcorn matinee. I found it entertaining and very enjoyable. So much so that I got it on Bluray on day one (after seeing it at the theater) ... You don't have to enjoy video games to enjoy this movie, but if you do enjoy video games you will probably love it.

    cool
to musicmuncher here you are mostly right about that except suckerpunch wasa good movie with NO musical inteventions thank god. Overall this video was interesting and I would say that it deserves to at least be watched by anyone though it has nothing to truly do with the movie.

    Good
the music video is awesome, but for those of you who havn't seen the movie, it has no reflection on it what so ever! sure the girls in the ASYLUM do shows and in their mind they see it so colorfully like that, but you never see those shows of them dancing during the movie. the movie is amazing, so don't think the music video is all the movie is going to be!!!

    Huh?
I've never seen the movie but after seeing this "music video", I get this assumption that Sucker Punch is a mixture of three main things: 1. scantily clad women 2. slo-mo action 3. provocative musical numbers. These things don't seem to add up to anything powerful or even compelling. All in all, the sum of its parts is like Las Vegas on Viagra (minus the gluttons and gambling retirees). - And that's just commentary on this free "music video"; goodness knows what's in the actual movie...
