    Goodbye
I have been listening to this podcast since the beginning. I love listening to Brian, Kelly, and Brett and hearing their take on pop-culture. I am very sorry to see it going and I wish the three of them all the best. Nerds out!

Still enjoying the show! Sorry to see it go

Why do you always say here is a clip from the movie and then just play the trailer?
It’s stupid. Just say “that was from the trailer”.

    Great quick podcast
This is a good quick weekly review covering a broad array of new “nerdy” content in entertainment.

    Not bad
I mostly enjoy this podcast. I don’t listen to every episode because I don’t always care about the topic. Kelly frequently sounds out of breath when she talks which is difficult to listen to. I frequently fast forward over the parts when she speaks for longer periods.

    Still Love This Pod!
I’m not sure if I ever left a review for this podcast. If I did, it was years ago. I’m a long time listener and I’ve always enjoy the group that puts this podcast together. It’s one of my favorite pop culture podcasts. Keep up the great work! Happy New Year!

    Claire made me feel guilty!!
This is my fave pop culture podcast, as it’s the perfect balance between insider nerdiness and real-world discussion. It’s as geeky as it wants to be for authenticity, but as accessible as it needs to be for those days when I have no idea what video game you’re talking about. (My last video game was “ET” on the Atari 2600. Really.) Each week I pine for it - more even than Chris. Always wanted to say that, and having met Claire last week, she made me feel guilty that I’ve never reviewed y’all. As well she should. So, here we go: “You’ve gotten me through one gender transition, a Ph.D., a pandemic, and now a forest fire. Thanks for being the distraction I always need!” Have a great day!

Clark Duke ‘the office’ to ‘Arkansas’
What the heck, where was the spoiler alert for this episode? For the most part really enjoy this weekly Pop culture podcast. While I don’t agree with some of the hosts opinions, I eagerly await the weekly drop.

    Onward review: verbal diarrhea!!
This podcast was almost impossible to listen to because of all of the “like”s in every sentence! Brett and Brian would put Valley Girls to shame with that effort. Easy fix for “verbal diarrhea”. Charge each other a quarter for every instance where “like” shouldn’t be used and pay it monthly to the charity of the other two’s choice - could be positive: Red Cross relief in TN; or could be negative: a contribution to a political candidate the person detests! Bottom line: I should not hear these verbal miscues from professional journalists. Take a split second longer to formulate your thoughts and don’t feel the need to fill that gap with sound. It will make the podcast significantly better!!

A Pop Culture Podcast Done Right
Kelly, Brian, and Brett are some of the best entertainment reporters in the business and this podcast shows why - they’re to the point and unbiased about all things pop culture-related. USA Today is the gold standard for reporting and I’m glad they have these guys covering cool stuff to keep our minds off the reality we live in now.

    Give us more spoilertown
I’ve been listening for years, and love the insights. My only request is give us more in-depth spoiler reviews.

    Silly and just plain annoying!
Silly and just plain annoying. Really hard to find a redeeming quality for the show. I listened for about two months. Hoping it would get better. It never did. I do appreciate that they try. But to quote Ron White, “you can’t fix stupid!”

I listen to this weekly for the past several years; Brian you not the only who likes Suicide Squad. It was my favorite DCU movie until Shazam!

    Always Entertaining never disappointing.
As a 58 year old who has raised children during the eighties this podcast hits on all geek cylinders or me. Interesting points of view with inclusivity for all. Thanx Kelly for keeping the boys in check, and thanx Brian for the ever present beep-outs during the cast ( it’s good to hear someone that excited about the subject matter) . This cast is my go to for the Monday morning pick me up as it drops way to late on Friday for the morning commute. One small suggestion... hire a sound editor ... it might be late stage hearing loss for me but some posts seem to have an oscillating quality to the voice volume. Anyhow keep up the great work Geek out Jeffary BTW Brett your first video game exposure was most likely pong or the Combat cartridge that came with your Atari 2600.

    This is my nerdy jam
Loved the last podcast, reminded me of a lot of shows from my youth, being a child of the 70’s, 80’. 70’s Superman the Movie, the Muppet show, Star Trek reruns and Movie, Six million dollar man, Buck Rogers, even space 1999. 80’s I remember being introduced to Anime though G force, Doctor Who, Tom Baker on PBS, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and D & D. Keep up the great work and thanks

    Not great
I’m not sure what qualifies you to be a pop culture reporter for USA Today but these three set the bar pretty low. It seems like they just discovered TV, movies and video games sometime in the last 3 years. Every discussion lacks depth or context. Their lack of knowledge about their respective “specialties” is often jaw-dropping. Seriously, at the very least, skim the Wikipedia entry before you comment on something.

Safe For Work and lots of fun
The pod is great any time, the hosts have good chemistry and their passion for the nerdy subject matter shines through, but it’s especially enjoyable for me to know I can listen to it at work and not have to worry about the content. If you listen to pods at work, whether through your PC or phone, you know the fear of the accidental volume crank or accidental earbud jack removal that could lead to the air turning blue for a few seconds, depending on what you’re listening to. Even when Brian “Dice” Truitt lets the f-bombs fly, the audio is censored, as the pilot (producer) of the Mothership shoots down the profanity and keeps things clean.

    Geeks on fleek
The only reasons I look forward to going to work on Friday is the weekend and getting to listen to "The Mothership". It's like hanging with your friend's at the gaming table just talking all the geeky nonsense. I recommend this for people who like to roll crits, know how to take all the best resources in Catan, and know that there's more than one Captain Marvel.

    Length and Content
Hello, folks! Love the podcast, as it is always interesting to hear another take on nerdy things. However, I would love if the podcast came in around 45 min or even an hour and was twice a week. There’s so many nerdy things to hear and speak about that a 25 min podcast once a week hardly seems sufficient. Regardless, can’t wait to hear today’s podcast!

    The Muthaship!
I just recently joined Stitcher Premium and added a couple new shows to my lineup. One of my favorites is the Mothership. I enjoy the interplay between the co-hosts and the topics are always on point. With most of my favorite podcasts going 1 to 2 and even 3 hours, it's nice to find a quality podcast where I can get in and get out around 30 minutes.
  • Eknox11
    Great!
Really enjoy this podcast. It's a nice 30 minute quick fix to listen in on each Friday. Good discussion, helps me wind down for the weekend, and feeds my nerdy side just enough without overloading me with news. Love it! Keep it up!
  • lanefortenberry
    solid show!
really love the group's chemistry. it's too short, though. it's kind of like a tease for the other entertainment/movie podcasts i listen to. i'd love longer episodes that talk way more in depth about topics. i'd also like to know more about each person and they're favorites, why they got into the business and how they did. in other words, give us more!

    A Fun Time
A fun pop culture pod! There’s some nice chemistry. The only thing that bugs me is that the episodes are a little short; every time they start to scratch the surface of their topic, they wrap it up. The ones that have gone on 45-60 minutes are really great though, since they get to explore that week’s topic a bit more.
  • NamHienNguyen
These hosts are not very good
These hosts are overall not that great, although Brian Pruitt is the most tolerable one. Brett Molina is the worst one. Kelly Lawler is just annoying.
  • Just_Smurfy
    Downer
I expected Revisiting the Marvel Movies to be a fun review in preparation for Infinity War. Instead, most of it was whining about what you didn’t like. Are you even fans? Sure didn’t sound like it.

    Extra Side of fries
In a discussion it’s always enjoyable to hear all the sides and this podcast does just that. They introduce needed news, give their takes, and I walk away with some new thoughts I never considered before. -Blake Hodges

    Keep It Up
Really love this show. It has really grown into its own, been listening for about two years now and I actually look forward to my Friday morning commute to hear each weeks new episode. Awesome job guys!!

    A Nice Escape
I used to be a hard-core nerd but these years I'm exclusively a documented Adult. This podcast itches the scratch to keep me just a little bit caught up with all the geekery that's about. I love all the subject material they discuss, but just don't have time to follow it properly. This podcast does everything it claims to do, giving a nerd's-eye view of current popular entertainment and opinions of how it's all shaping up. I disagree with them somewhere between "oftentimes" and "usually", but they're rarely obnoxious and always open to acknowledging others viewpoints. The Mothership gets me home cheerfully every Friday. Thanks!

    Great Podcast!
I look forward to new episodes every week. Y'all are awesome!
  • MichelleGoBlue
    Awful
Besides it being boring and not even a little insightful, I cannot stand the sound of Kelly Lawler's voice. Even worse than her voice is her laugh. For that reason alone I have unsubscribed.
  • lavelle1987
    Self-indulgent Groupthink
I've only listened to a few episodes but that was enough. They are all a bit pretentious and criticize everything about the movie they are discussing. Nobody ever offers a counterpoint. They are like a smug little club who agree on everything and complain about everything. I'm moving on and so should you.
  • DrWolf333
    Favorite podcast
I'm a 43-year-old psychologist. Most podcasts stress me out. This one helps me become a kid, often when I'm doing something necessarily adult like laundry or running errands. I don't have a lot of time to recreate. Spending my time listening to the three hosts talk is precious, and I find myself deriving tremendous value from what I learn here. Thanks so much for having a geekcast. I really love it and look forward to your insights on the things I care about when I do get the time to think about the boyish part of me!

    A Weekly Must-Listen
Though I don't always agree with every single comment, The Mothership has become a staple of my Friday evening commute. It's one of those podcasts where you feel like "these folks are my friends."
  • XUASOUND
Basic AF. Not worth the time
A boring panderfest to "geek" culture, I listened to several episodes- nothing interesting or new here, much like a issue of USA Today. One of the hosts claimed "Suicide Squad" was a better film than "Dark Knight Rises". It's that bad.
  • 40Incognito
    Shallow Analysis
Qualifications for hosting this seem to be watching one trailer and reading an IMDB page. If you're looking for any in-depth analysis, look elsewhere. If you're looking for quick, easy takes on movies and pop culture and can't be bothered to do five minutes of research yourself, then this is the podcast for you.
  • Willythepitbull
    Like, has like, potential..
Like, this like, could like, be like, a good like, podcast..like. It more reminds me of a local high school radio station. The topics are interesting but the hosts, sorry but especially the girls, are so un professional. Even when they’re making a cogent point they ruin it with the childish and annoying over use of the word “like”. Are they broadcasting from eighth grade home room? That and the vocal fry makes this podcast almost unlistenable. Tighten the show up. This could be a good podcast.
  • John Pilate
Unfocused, Fried and Too Much Like
Sometimes there are some genuine nuggets of useful info, but wading through the off-topic rants, persistent vocal fry and grating overuse of the word "like" is too much for me. I have literally turned off episodes and deleted them because the show was so poorly produced.
  • Bobby4th
    Like, you know, like...
Sometimes they are spot on, but a lot of time one of the ladies uses “like” practically every other word and it makes it unlistenable. I thought Val-speak died when Nicolas Cage still had hair of his own and Crockett and Tubbs were still on the job? I am going to give it a little more time, but right now I am probably going to stop listening once the like-o-meter reaches critical, which could be the next episode.
  • Silberwhatever
    Breezy and fun
A really fun podcast, high has the feel of hanging out in an office with Kelly, Carly, Brian, and Brett, ignoring work to chat about the important things. You know, movies, TV, geek news, and occasional other subjects. It's unstructured nature is mostly an asset, reinforcing the conversational feel. It's a breeze to listen to, especially when it releases on Friday afternoon. Don't mistake the relaxed feel for a lack of opinion. All four hosts are well versed in the issues of the day, and can usually talk through them with passion.
  • Alan G.
    Fun stuff
I may be biased, but I think the group does a fab job each week. I love listening to the podcast. Rock on, guys!
  • miller3675
    Look elsewhere
Two words sums up this podcast: obnoxious and self-indulgent. If the topic of your podcast is described as 'The Ultimate Heroines Podcast,' then I expect you to address that topic within the first 10 minutes of the podcast, not at the 26-minute mark of a 50-minute podcast. My. God. Get your sh** together.
