    I miss this pod.
Kyle, can you please update your pod on USSF v USWNT given the recent ruling?

    Come back Kyle!
Loved the show. I hope you come back and do new episodes soon.
  • fionapj
    When are you coming back?
I loved this pod and I’m so sad you haven’t done any new episodes... I hope it’s just a temporary thing. Come back, Kyle! We need you!
  • Texas Solar
Love the POD but need more
We love this pod so much we need more. 4 months off is too much. Especially now with the WWC and the USWNT run going we need, no crave the insight and objectivity of one KM!

Where in the world is Kyle?
Love this pod but first real title race in 5 years and he disappears...

    Where is Kyle Martino?
Decent punditry but sparse episodes. I tend to like podcasters who pod.

    Brevity is Golden
Great subjects but it goes on and on... Kyle, you have a lot of experience in a lot of areas, and your insight is very valuable, but GET TO THE POINT!
  • Stevo9167
Like the Pod / Meh about the political commentary
The Pod about the USWNT felt more like a rant which concludes that if you disagree with the lawsuit you are a heartless sexist. Unfortunately, in life and business/entertainment there is much more nuance and a more measured Pod would have been a more enjoyable listen.

Handball, a civil action and the value of expertise
Enjoy the pod but have knocked a star off of the review for the USWNT v U.S. Soccer episode. I listen to Kyle because he can offer unique, expert insight on football. It is a specialty. The law is a specialty too and listening to the pod discuss the intricacies of a complex civil action without the benefit of a legal expert’s presence was as satisfying as I imagine it would be for others if I did a pod about football. Worse, I tuned in to hear about the USWNT civil action and the first ten minutes are a discourse on handball. USWNT is on the marquee and still gets second billing! Not editing that portion to the end of the episode belied what I thought were Kyle’s otherwise well-placed comments on the importance of the action being brought by the players from USWNT. Speaking of handball, the law should be simple. An intentional handball is a foul. Intention can be difficult to assess, so in other cases the law should be administered based on the same simple calculation that should govern all officiating: advantage/disadvantage. Where intention is not clear, a foul should be given where the handball gives the offender’s team an advantage. This is why the handball that swung the CL tie in Man United’s favor should never have been given. The PSG defender did not handle the ball intentionally, the shot was going over the bar and that is where it ended up, so his handling garnered no advantage.

    More Kyle, Less Mourinho
Really enjoy Kyle’s take but every time Mourinho comes up in the news I fear there is a 25 minute rant coming. Please reduce the Jose segments to the whistle ;)

    Handball rule/law solution
Hi Kyle, big fan of the pod and struggling Real Madrid fan but my change to hand ball rule (law) would keep it plain and simple. Any handball away from the body should be an indirect free kick from where it occurred even in the penalty box. (Similar to the dangerous play without contact fouls) This would eliminate the gray areas with the current rule and revive the indirect free kick that is a rare occurrence in the game today. On paper it make the rule black and white. Keep up the good work.

    Love the Podcast!
This is a very well done podcast that is interesting to listen to. I am a massive Spurs fan and I love the positive and negative insight that you give on my club. One bit of feedback is that I would spend a bit more time on the teams in the bottom half and less on the top 6. In terms of the handball rule, I have two ideas: The first one is that no matter what, if the ball hits your arm, it’s a free kick, even inside the penalty area. A handball can only become a penalty kick if the offense is a “denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity,” to prevent people from blocking shots on the line with their hands. Another feasible idea would be, with the introduction of VAR, having a concrete angle measurement in which your arm and your body cannot form anything greater than that angle. With added technology, this could be checkable in seconds and would clear up all murky areas.

    Color Lines
Love your show...I’ve been an Arsenal and EPL fan for 20 years and during that time I’ve seen but 1 Referee of color in a league with such diversity.....Why? Apparently the English FA doesn’t see it as an issue, I do...
  • Jazz Kat
    Man Utd supporter
Kyle, love your punditry and your podcast. I never disagreed the Mourinho was a mistake from the start. His blood never ran red. The board is a embarrassment. Ed Woodward has a chance to set things right. Keep up the good work. Victor

Stadium to visit: Millwall (the Den)
A couple of years ago, I almost went to a Millwall game, but a local dissuaded us because the Millwall fans were such “hooligans.” I regret that decision after today’s Millwall defeat over Everton. Also, I think I’ve given up on trying to defend Mourinho’s time at Manchester United. I really want to make the argument about how today’s young players are very much like the millennials in the work force. Mourinho and Sarri both struggle with working with some of these fragile football egos. I’m old school. You play for the team, not the individual. You play even if someone hurts your feelings. Some players give up too easily. But the stubbornness of Mourinho‘s style was hurting the club. Mourinho was a square peg for a round hole. It was never going to fit. (Sigh) I give up and admit that Kyle was right about Mourinho. Well done.

    ManU Fan of Pod
Would love to see a game at Old Trafford. As a true ManU fan, the worst day of my fandom was the day José was hired. Found your pod a few months ago and it was great to listen to someone who shared my opinion on José. Now that José is gone it is time for Ed Woodward to follow him put the door. Keep up the great work.

The Tony Romo of Soccer Commentary
Kyle is the Tony Romo of soccer/ football commentary: He delivers insightful, well-reasoned commentary. Kyle doesn’t just skim the top of the waves (sorry 2 Robbies); engage in ridiculous hyperbole (see Alexi Lalas); or treat his audience with contempt (see Eric Wynalda.) I love the podcast! Suggestions: 1. Post on a regular schedule. If there’s a pattern, I haven’t spotted it. 2. Don’t eat while recording. No one wants to hear you chewing. Stadium I want to visit? I want to see Man U play in a Champions League final. I don’t care where it is!!

If Jose goes to Real bet...
Love the pod, if Jose goes to Real Madrid, I think Kyle should have a very flamboyant coffee mug with a punny phrase that expresses his love for Jose. He has to have it for a full weekend of NBC coverage, on display. Also, a large face of Jose on the other side would be great as well.
  • Obinna97
    Found something great
Fond of your input on NBCSN and now a new fan of your work here on the pod. Never been to Stamford Bridge and as a forever ago Blues fan, it would be a dream come true. Keep up the sick work!
  • BigA118
    Absolutely love it
I’ve been a Liverpool fan since the 2012-2013 season. And let me say this, I absolutely love this liverpool team. And so I’d love to see a European Night at Anfield, singing You’ll Never Walk Alone with a scarf in my hands. Brilliant atmosphere and brilliant team
  • Jpg 95628
    He’s trash.
Simple take, Kyle repeats himself constantly and doesn’t have a solid opinion other than playing the advocate for whoever is the underdog or he disagrees with. His television presence is trash and his pod is trash...

    Defenders!
So I’m back for another review, still loving the pod clearly. Listening to your episode on 12/13/2018 about Van Dijk as a brilliant defender makes me want to bring back the question you had last season about player I’d want to play with and I’d say Cannavaro who was probably the last defender who just bossed the back line unlike anyone for me and I think was the only defender I remember winning Ballon D’or too at least since I’ve been alive!
  • Jeff Heller
Amazing podcast for all footy fans!
I never had luck with podcasts as they never were able to capture my attention. But being a lover of the sport, Kyle Martino easily explains and talk about the topics perfectly. I recommend it to everyone who loves the sport and want to know more about things happening off the pitch. As an Arsenal fan the one stadium I want to be at before I die is the Emirates.
  • thedizzz
Now that’s a Review (Signal Iduna Park)
First off love the pod, thanks for bringing it every time. I’m a Spurs supporter and would have said White Hart Lane but now that it has passed on and the new stadium isn’t done yet I will go to my next choice. The Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund looks incredible. When I saw the massive tifo in the Champions League in 2013 I knew this was where I needed to go! I hope to get the chance to get there. Of course it’s not terrible that Pulisic is there.. for now. Keep up the good work.

    A wee pitch
Would love to go to Claggan Park home of Fort William Football Club in the West Highlands of Scotland. Worst team in the fifth tier of Scottish Football. Where my family is from, and known to be one of the most beautiful (scenery) pitches in Britain.
  • LSter62
    Tynecastle Park
Love the pod, sent Kyle a few bucks during the USSF election, too bad it didn't work out. Got married in Edinburgh 30 years ago near Tynecastle, at the magistrate's office. Still married to the same woman, would do it all again in a heartbeat. Still have a Jambos coffee mug as a memento of the day. Haven't returned to Scotland since. Anyway, Fulham's my EPL team, but I've already attended a match at Craven Cottage. So, Tynecastle Park is it.
  • Todd from LA
    True TAD-poder
Kyle and Producers M/J/L offer an unfiltered opinion of all things football. Keep up the good work! If I could go to any stadium, it would be the New Tottenham Stadium because a) that would mean it’s finished, and b) we could all stop talking about it. Come on you Spurs! We’ll play you anytime, anywhere. Also, love the name of the pod, I feel like it speaks to me... All the best, Todd A Davis
  • TaylorStruck
    My favorite pod
Fantastic podcast. Martino is an amazing pundit. If I could watch a game in any stadium it would be the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. The reason being is because, the first European match I ever watched was the 2005 Champions League Final between AC Milan and Liverpool. I was in 6th grade at the time and my dad picked me up early from school and found this match when I got home and I remember being floored at the pace and precision that these players played with because before that, I had only watched MLS matches with my father. I even had my dad record the game on an old VHS tape to rewatch it over and over again. To this day I am an AC Milan fan. I also keep up with ‘Pool in the EPL and love your take on them the past few seasons. Keep up the great work!

Have been listening to your pod for a while now like what your are doing. Although I'm a United fan I agree with the jab you take at Jose. He is not a United type manager and it was wrong for us to appoint him. He oozes pessimism and that can't be solution to the problems we have. Long Term Success > couple feel good trophies...

    Tad Podder
I really enjoy the pod. Great coverage of both US and International soccer/football. As a Man U fan I sometimes have to scan past MU segments due to Kyle's glee in taking shots at Mourinho (not that he's necessarily wrong -- I just don't need to hear more about it!). Old Trafford is the stadium I'd love to get to (I've seen United play a few times, but always here in Seattle during their US tours).
  • Fishtown FC
    Ye Ole Trafford!
Love the pod. Always some of my favorite insight on the Premier League. As a supporter of United, I love hearing Kyle confirm: I’m not crazy. I’ve always shared your opinion on Jose. Thank you for being a rational voice. So I choose Old Trafford, but I’m bringing Kyle so we can put boots on the ground and get some anti Jose chants going.
  • @nygrump
    Longer pod
I love the podcast I especially love an extra long podcast version and someday I hope to make it to go to see my beloved Everton
  • nickytroubles
    Great show
Kyle - love the pod, great chat I’m looking to watch a game at Craven Cottage, if only to get a pint at McBrides. He was on of my favorite Americans abroad, and an underrated USMNT star.

    Brilliant.
The last one I listened to had Weston McKennie as a guest, and it was my favorite one. Must listen.

Back in the reviews: explaining why I like Urawa Reds
When I was a kid I watch Fox soccer channel (RIP) and every Friday at 5 the J League high light show came on and I saw the Urawa Reds fans and I was captivated by their chants and the flags and the banners and the team scored a lot and I hadn’t been exposed to Manchester United yet (Premier League club of choice) and FC Cincinnati was nowhere near existing so I supported Urawa Reds through the weekly highlight show. Now I follow them on Instagram and watch some crap streams on mornings when I wake up in time. Hope that answers any questions y’all had. Loving the show keep it up

    Stadium Review
My name is Josh Hinton and I am a huge fan of the pod, and of the NBC coverage that you, Robbie, Robbie, Rebecca, and everyone else put together every week! I am a die hard Manchester City supporter but I live in Kentucky. We have a USL (2nd tier) team, Louisville City FC, here in Kentucky. If the US had pro/rel, LouCity would’ve promoted in all three years of the club’s existence. We have a new, 11000+ seat stadium set to open in 2020. Though we aren’t the biggest club in America, we are one of the most passionate and loudest in the USL, and, in my biased opinion, all of the USA. I cannot wait for my first game that I go to in our new stadium! Vamos los morados!
  • jbruns29
    Love it!
This podcast is awesome. Love Kyle on here and on nbcsn on the weekends. Keep up the great pod! For my stadium I want to go to craven cottage now that Fulham is back in the EPL.

    Volume to low
Content-wise, 5 stars, I gave it only 4 because for some reason I can barely hear this podcast. I subscribe to a number of podcasts and for some reason I have to turn up the volume on my phone for only this one all the way and it still is too soft. Otherwise I love it.
  • j8lech
    Best soccer/football podcast out there!
My only complaint is that I wish it were longer and that they talked a bit more about other European clubs and even MLS from time to time. Stadium I’d most like to watch a game at Laugardalsvöllur.
  • Lucyo912
    Love it!
Just discovered, as I’m new to this whole podcast thing, listened to S3E1 and loved it! I 100% agree with your assessment about Jose. I love to hate him and he plays a great villain in the PL. Even though I am NOT a ManU supporter, he needs to go, his ego is in the way.
  • Aaroneouscharge
This pod made me listen to soccer podcasts
I’ve always been a soccer fan. I’ve loved the sport since the 1990 World Cup where I watched Jurgen and company lift the cup. As an army brat who lived in Germany, seeing the World Cup winners in 1990 made me feel like I was back in Europe. Your analysis is thoughtful and your reactions are always measured. In the current soccer climate of massive overreactions I’m happy that this pod exists as a bulwark against such knee jerk punditry. 5 stars.
  • Colorado Wolf
    Stevie Bull is tatter
If I could play with any player, it would have to be Steve Bull. He is one of the best English players to never play in the Premier League. He made 474 appearances for Wolves and scored 250 goals. I love listening to the pod. Really appreciate Kyle’s take on the Premier League and the state of soccer in America.
  • kfly88
    Henry
Would love to play with Henry. Amazing talent and seems like he would be easy to get along with.
  • A R Elliott
    Very good pod
KM does a really good job of bringing the most current EPL questions to the forefront and giving thoughtful but not overtly inflammatory takes on the issues. Definitely in the rotations of pods that get played start to finish every week.
  • bradbajuz
    Good football podcast
Love the podcast. Good discussion about the Premier League, Champions League, and Europa League. Hope they continue it through the summer for the World Cup. Had to give it 3 stars because of the unnecessary, loud, and annoying morning zoo style whistle to signal the end of a discussion. The worst thing to hear during any listening session is to be jolted out of it by a loud whistle. Remove the whistle and it’s a 5 star podcast.

    Zidane
Great Pod Kyle. Almost as great as your hair. For me I don’t think there is anybody I would want to play along side more than Zidane. I know its somewhat of a cliche answer but for me who is the best two way player to ever play. The way he controled the ball and just made everybody round him that much better is something that the normal person wouldn't get.
  • cabrian
    Soccer!
I’m new to watching soccer (having not played or watched my whole life) and I love Kyle’s passion for the game. As far as players I’d like to play with I’d have to go with Mo Salah. What a great talent.
  • Andy Macca
    Steven Gerrard
Love the pod! Really enjoy listening to it weekly. The player I’d love to play with is the main man Stevie G. Besides the fact I’m a reds supporter I truly admire his ability to play in so many positions. It’s the reason why he’s one of the bests 8s to play. He could do everything. But beyond his technical and athletic ability his leadership and passion seemed so genuine. He wanted to give his heart out for the city and those type of players people can learn a lot from.
  • screamingeagle100
    I can’t believe he wasn’t mentioned!
The one Player I would of loved to have played with is the one and only Gabriel Batistuta!...Even though he spent most his playing career at Fiorentina, he was always of 5 star quality. He was always passionate about the game and his eye for goal scoring made him a delight to watch. Love the podcast!
