Back To School with Maz Jobrani

250

Maz Jobrani and his co-hosts Tehran and Kaitlin will be talking to professors and experts from all walks of life who will educate them on a plethora of subjects, from God to fashion to Russian politics and more. The show was inspired by Maz’s 10 year-old son who asked Maz a question that he didn’t have an answer for. Rather than facing the embarrassment of turning to Google to answer his son yet again, Maz decided it was time to bring in the experts to help expand his knowledge once and for all. Join Maz and his pals as they audit the classes of esteemed experts and try to learn something while also being funny. Don't spend thousands of dollars to get a graduate degree - just go back to school with Maz Jobrani!

Food perspective and how to be humble.
Maz is a consummate eager student as we all ought be. The closed mind eats nothing and dies sooner. Thank you for breaking bread and enjoying the meal. You are a great man and your parents should be so proud. They did a great job.

Love the podcast but Audio Issue
Hi Maz and Tehran, really enjoy the podcast but I have noticed some audio issue when you transition from the intro and theme song to the main conversation. The Audio volume suddenly drop significantly and I have to put my phone volume to max to barely hear your voices. It might be just a matter of adjustment of your audio before posting your episode. Best Wishes, Farhad from Georgia

Trying to enjoy a conversation with Adam Carolla getting lectured about systemic racism blah blah blah, you didn’t make any sense at all and societies have been enslaving each other long before America so this idea that we are evil! Just stop!!
  • Our Friendly World
    We love our Maz.
It's wonderful to be able to see aspects and insights of great comedians. The greater the comedian, the greater their perspective, insight, and curiousity of our world. It's a treat to listen to you on this platform, Maz. Your podcast is inclusive and wise.

    Not your average interview podcast
A hilarious cast led by the wonderful Maz Jobrani interviews people from all walks of life asking questions that the average interviewer may shy away from. Every episode focuses on learning from the guests.

    Sound quality
I enjoy the podcast but please do something about the audio quality. I can hardly hear you and I don’t have this issue with any of the other podcasts I listen to. Thanks!

Iively combination of facts and fun... but too long
I enjoy Maz’s podcast but I can rarely afford the time required to listen through the full duration of each episode. I think shorter would be better.
  • a bit of critism
    Constructive criticism
Some of your guests are really good and I like your comedy and that’s why I’m leaving this review. you’re in a podcast medium, let the conversation flow instead of typical radio interview questions, and don’t bind yourself to the 1 hour limit, you know you can let it go longer right ?
  • Khashook
    Poor sound quality
I’ve been a fan until I wasn't able to listen to the podcast due to the poor sound quality on the recent episodes. This could be fixed with a mic replacement that can be bought on amazon for $100.

    Sorry but I’m done
Sorry Max, while I love your comedy and your appearances on WWDTM, your Back to School podcast is boring. There is way too much set up in each episode (at least 5 minutes if not longer of “intro” and most of that is repeated) and getting to the topic always has to wind around the whole life story of the guest. Clean up the presentation or quickly lose your audience. You have lost me.
  • Domenica Zana
    Maz is amazing!!
I adore Maz, and have been following his work for a long time now. I love his stand up, and I also enjoy listening to him on various podcasts. Beyond being hilarious, he also seems like a genuinely decent, intelligent and compassionate human being. The reason I have only given four stars here is that I find Kaitlin very annoying. I’m sorry to say this, but she does not add anything interesting to any of the discussions. Instead, her presence only serves to dumb down whatever topic is being discussed. I realize the inspiration of the show was to inform (possibly younger audiences), and so Maz is trying to make the information accessible to all. However, I think this show could be done in a much more meaningful way with a more mature and insightful cohost.
  • pari030
    Love it!
Maz and team do an awesome job of including a bit of humor with serious issues. I’ve enjoyed the Iranian related topics since there’s so little media/information. Hoping for lots more regarding holidays, culture, etc.

    Maz is fantastic!
As funny as Maz is with his stand up, I absolutely feel he has found his true calling as an interviewer. His positive energy and simple desire to learn is contagious. I can say with a high level of confidence, that Maz is the second best interviewer in the game! #howardstern

If every episode is going to be like the first one, we are in for a treat! Maz asks great follow up questions. Highly recommend. And if your appetite has been wetted after listening to Reza Aslan, I recommend the YouTube channel “ReligionForBreakfast” for an academic take on religion.
