playoff pMust listenGreat pod! I love getting to hear RJ experience different parts of the rap cannon for the first time. The guys are funny and even as a rap fan I still learn a thing or two from Tope about each song most eps.... watch out for the steel drums though.

Stan The Dry BearA great introduction (or re-education) to rap musicIt would be one thing if this was just a humorous podcast with great jokes, but there's such an appreciation and explaination of the genre under all the one-liners and banter between the hosts that this should be a must listen for everyone. After listening to the first twenty or so episodes, I actually ended up making a playlist of songs and finding so much more rap music that I've really come to appreciate and enjoy more thanks to this podcast. My only complaint is: 125+ episodes and none focused on a Busta Rhymes solo joint?? So please flip a coin and do either "Gimme Some More" or "Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check". -@StanTheDryBear

a.will130SuggestionHey guys, love the show! I look forward to each new episode, keep up the great work! I think it would be awesome if you revisited Tyler the Creator and do a song off of Igor or Flower Boy this time to show how much he’s changed since Yonkers. I genuinely think RJ might enjoy some of it!

Rambo Lando!!!Song RequestGreat pod... S*ck it or not by Cam’ron featuring RJ’s favorite rapper Lil Wayne... FRIENDS OF THE M*RDER B*TTS ASSEMBBBBLLLLLLLEEE!!!!!

tkallday503I was drunk and requested a song already done...I requested a song that had already been done, I just completely forgot it had been done until I re listened to all of these episodes. Please do a Bay Area legend! Not too short RJ, don’t worry there’s no steel drums coming. This is my all time hands down favorite artist. the song is “Awake like an owl” by Andre Nickatina. Thanks

TheAmazingPiggle5 star itunes review timeThis is my favorite podcast of all time because it’s so entertaining to watch RJ suffer and have terrible opinions on classic rap songs. a song that i think will get an amazing reaction out of RJ is I’m Back by Eminem. it is one of my all time favorite rap songs by one of the greatest artists ever.

pkpstgaBinging these from Wuhan, ChinaGreat energy concept and people in this podcast, and it’s actually made me think about why I like the music I like in a socially conscious way. If y’all are still doing viewer requests I feel like there has been one person who has been wrongfully absent from rjs studies, I don’t care what song as long as it’s MF DOOM, from one of his solo projects. Other recommendations would have to be atcq, earl sweatshirt, ol dirty bastard and big L . Which as far as I know none which have made an appearance.

JakelovespotterI love this showYou guys are so funny I listen everyday and just do reruns. I found you guys looking for a comedy podcast and you were the top result. Keep doing what you do! BBO- Migos You will love it

BenTheAlpacamanHilarious and Relatable.I’m nearly certain every hip hop fan has had to be Tope at some point in their life. RJ’s lopsided metaphors and Tope’s over the top reactions have me rolling every time. My song recommendation has to be either One Day or Murder by UGK, depending on how nice Tope feels.
-
MoochManLove these guysConsistently great and hilarious podcast. I live for when RJ actually likes the song! My request would be “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” or “These Walls” by K Dot.
-
HorseLimeNiceNice podcast. Please do "Wicked" by Future.

whiteandornersyThe perfect podcast for 2017In these troubling times, we need to come together as a nation, and learn to love each other. And there is no other podcast that better demonstrates how to heal the divide better than "RJ Hates Rap". Here, we see a young man enter a world he has been sheltered from and is afraid of. But thanks to the help of his best friend, he learns to love rap music. If RJ can change, and if Tope can change, everybody can change! My song recomendation is "Ain't It Funny" by Danny Brown.

@ChawlsTweetsRead this review, or Black Twitter will find you. From @ChawlsTweetsHi Tope! You may remember me from such moments as Podswoggle 300, when I questioned your reasons for apologizing to Sasha Banks, or on Twitter, when I tweeted you that "sensitive image" of Sasha Banks and her husband Mikaze, presumably moments before they consummated their marriage (that means they had sex with each other, Tope), or for that wonderful email that I sent to Podswoggle with choice images of our shared crush, Cathy Kelley. Case in point, I'm a bit of a sadist. But this particular podcast is about making RJ suffer. That said, I would kindly like to request that he listen to the song, "Smell Yo Dick", by Riskay feat. Aviance and Real. Also, just as a gauge, whose hatred is greater: RJ's of Rap, or Tope's of Mikaze being married to Sasha Banks, which means that he is the only man that can have her?

Rock and Wrestling PodcastMy New Favorite ShowAfter hearing you guys at podslam, I fell in love with this show. I have listened to almost every episode. Nothing makes me smile more than way RJ yells out Tope's name. At podslam RJ said one of his reasosn for hating rap is because his favorite band is Bowling for Soup (which is a terible choice for favorite band) so i would like formally request a reviewed of a song called "Download This Song" by MC Lars featuring Jarett Reddick of Bowling for Soup from the album The Graduate. Thanks for the hours of entertainment and cant wait to hear more. Sincerely Yours, Tyler Blackkk Rock and Wrestling Podcast

Suit WilliamsThis Show Is Awesome!RJ HAS TO HEAR "Hey, We Want Some (Kitty)" BY 2 LIVE CREW. Don't tell him the name of the song beforehand, though.
-
heytaxirocksGreat Podcast ConceptI saw these guys record live at Podslam 2016 in Chicago and they were such a blast to watch!! The idea and concept behind this podcast is just so brilliant and they have such great chemistry and I've listened to all the episodes since hearing about them on Saturday. I definitely think in order for RJ to learn anything you gotta start from the beginning and have him listen to Rapper's Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang. Mainly I just want to see how he reacts to having to listen to a 14 minute rap song.

StandUpKamAudio BrunchI love waking up every Sunday knowing that there's a new RJ Hates Rap. Being a college acquaintance helps put a face to RJ's outrage and makes it all the better, and Tope has actually taught me a thing or two in his breakdowns of the songs. Everything is great, keep making magic, guys. Despite there being a great song variety so far, I feel like NWA has been overlooked, so as far as my song suggestion goes, there are two options: if RJ is feeling like a Sharon, "Express Yourself," but if he's feeling like a Sue, it's gotta be "Straight Outta Compton."

MartianManchildA hilarious podcast, and a public serviceThis podcast has become a must-listen for me, not just because RJ and Tope are hilarious, but because this podcast helps me. As a white guy, I sometimes worried that I was just too white, until I listened to RJ. RJ is the whitest guy I've ever heard, and, you know, he seems to be doing great! Thanks for giving me hope, guys! I have to request "Oh My Darling Don't Cry" by Run the Jewels, not just because it's a nice intense one, but as a bonus, RJ needs to hear about "Oh My Darling Don't Meow" and the glory of Meow the Jewels.
-
DjthextremeoneFantasticI don't even understand how a person like RJ can exist. But there he is in his ignorant, rap-hating, women-respecting, Hamilton-loving glory. Please do Lil' Dicky, either Molly or Professional Rapper

Dran ReddinkerHelps me get out of bed on SundaysHey fellas! Everything about this podcast is fantastic. Whether it's RJ's ignorance or Tope's willingness to put up with it, I can't wait to download it every week. I can't wait to hear RJ reacts to one of my favorites that I sing along to whenever it plays in my car. Informer by Snow

Science WrestlerThis is 🔥🔥🔥This podcast is the most fire thing EVER. Shouts out to RJ for being the perfect white gay man for this podcast and to Tope for being the dopest black straight man for this. The greatest podcast ever. I leave you 1 song to do: Kim by Eminem. YOU HAVE TO DO IT TOPE PLS

TheRiversCuomoBecause iTunes won't let me hand-deliver a review...I've been listening to podcasts and rap music for a really long time, but this is easily the best of both worlds. Tope is a wonderful teacher and RJ is certainly a student. If you have been listening to rap your entire life or are still a rap virgin, this podcast is a must-listen. I'd love more than anything for Tope and RJ to cover the first rap song I ever loved: "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy feat. Jimmy Page from the Godzilla (1998) Soundtrack. Before you judge me, keep in mind I was an 11-year-old white kid who really only listened to Devo and the Beatles before this. Keep up the wonderful work!

bpmtbOne of the best things going today.I've been listening to Arcade Audio's library of podcast offerings and RJ Hates Rap is one of the best. A lot of fun, If you all could can we get Freaks and Geeks or Bonfire from Childish Gambino.
-
AJoustraThis is a very good podcast.I'm generally not somone who gets into podcasts but what these two guys have made together is magic. It's hilarious, fun and appeals to rap fans and non-rap fans alike. The formula of each episode makes it easy to listen to and creates great comedic juxtoposition between the "teacher" and his "student."Tope deserves a medal for patiently educating his uncultured nitwit student on hip-hop. Keep it up guys. My request is a delightful little diddy from the album "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood" featured in a long forgotten show called The Rodyssey. The song is "Bring Your Whole Crew." Enjoy :)

HomedaclownxxxAwesome!!!!The only thing I wish is that the show was longer. Outside of that, it's perfect. J.Cole "Lights Please"

L_SwannyGreat Show!I've listened to Tope's OTHER show, Podswoggle for a while, and I've always thought he would make a good host on his own show. I'm glad to say, he has proven me right! I love the dynamic of the show, and it's made me laugh out loud on many occasions. However, RJ's musical opinions are pretty much opposite of my own (as much as I enjoy him freaking out about average rap lyrics haha). He already hates two of my favorite artists of all time, Biggie and Lil Wayne, so I'm gonna recommend a song that'll make him hate one of my favorite artists right now. My song recommendation is the song "Groupies" by Future.
-
TheDoctorInTheTARDISJust great!I love this podcast. As someone who just got into rap about a year ago, I can totally idenitfy with RJ's confusion. I can think of literally dozens of songs I'd like to hear them review, but I'll ask for something a little different: either The Light or Faithful, both by Common. I really want to know what RJ thinks about these songs.

@HabertTheBabertThe funniest thing everThis show is fire. The combination of a knowledgeable black hip hop head and an incredibly sheltered dweeby white guy makes for an amazing combination of hilarious conversation and social commentary, usually unintentionally on both counts. Seriously, the lines "Are drive by shootings real?" and "Why don't they just stop selling crack?" are the most unintentionally hilarious things I've maybe ever heard from a human being. In all seriousness, these two are genuinely funny people, they have great chemistry, and while I oftentimes don't agree with RJ, I'm having a blast taking this journey with him. If I could make a request, I'd love for you guys to cover my fellow Chicago boy Chance the Rapper. Whatever track you wanna do is fine, I just wanna hear you talk about him.

Your Host MulletMy Favorite PodcastIt's been 7 weeks and this is already my favorite podcast. And I'm on two podcasts on the same network! None of them are as important and hilarious as this one. Now play Mind Playing Tricks on Me already!
-
G_DipLove it!I've consistently laughed out loud during every episode. As a lover of rap and hip hop who will soon marry a person who can only keep up with the repetitive "banana" part when I sing Lil Wayne's 6'7' (just wait for THAT one, RJ!), I definitely identify with the dynamic. So many song recommendations to come!
