    Great podcast!
Really enjoyed this one, not sure how I missed it. I saw there was a crowdfunding site for a second season, hopefully that comes to pass in the future.

  • RealStoryLines, Pls!!
True crime format is not Creative!
I’m sure the story would be good but please just come up with an actual story line! These True crime investigations are so played out and not creative at all.

    Great Fiction Pod
NM. Great story, great acting, just give it a listen.

    Outstanding!
True Crime satire that lets the listener in on the dark humor. Immensely clever and well-written, with terrific sound design** and acting. This is the kind of creation and production other immersive-fiction podcasts should aim for. **sound design exception - in the later episodes the music started to overwhelm a lot of the dialogue...

    Disappointed
Starts off amazing..:then piddles off into tiny episodes with more music than story... and then the finally.. left unsatisfied completely .. 3 stars was for all actors efforts.. but story ultimately falls way too short ..

    Loved it
This was a very entertaining show to listen to. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good strange audio drama. I really hope they do a second season!

    Great until the Finale!
A+ for a different take & creative fake commercials tied into the storyline. I enjoyed the characters but really - the finale leaves more questions than answers. What the heck?

    Great Listen
This is an interesting story that develops in a way that captures your attention. It’s well written and the characters have depth and emotion. The casting is great! All of f the voice actors really do a nice job and keep the focus on the story.

Just getting started listening, but digging it so far!

Keeps you wanting more (in a good way)
This podcast is some parts Xfiles, some parts pseudo reality show. The fake ads are a part of the story and REALLY Help with the world building. It’s hard to know who to believe or whether what anybody believes is actually the truth but it is most definitely intriguing. I binged it all in a couple days and can’t wait to see what comes next

    Quality!
I’m pretty picky about my pods - this is a good one! Can’t wait to check back and see all the next 5 star reviews.
  • Beckszy
    This is a good one!
The story is very compelling. The podcasts fake ads are part of the story so they are pretty funny. There are long —too long—sections of only music which is very distracting and adds nothing to the podcast so it’s odd filler. But otherwise, this podcast is worth listening!

One of the most creative well done podcasts out there
This isn’t my absolute favorite podcast—it doesn’t have me on the edge of my seat or obsessively binging because I need to know what happens next. But it’s so well done. Astoundingly so. And the creativity is perhaps only matched by Archive 81. That’s what keeps me listening—the incredible dedication, exploration, and edge-pushing. I’m pretty stunned by the work they put in after each episode

    Love it
I love the weird mix of genres, the strange mini stories and their interconnections, the voice acting, the different length episodes. Can’t wait for more!

    Really well done
All the best aspects of a missing person mystery with lots of fun, fascinating rabbit hole tangents into the supernatural. Well acted and produced, good writing, good sound design. I’m excited for the second season. Check it out - I’m surprised more listeners don’t know about and love this show yet. It’s become one of my favorites.

    WOW
I can’t recommend The Subjective Truth enough to people who The X-Files, Fringe, Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return, dimension-hopping. This first season has been a wild ride in the best way. It went from mind bending, to more investigative and disturbing, to absolutely mind bending again. I’m metaphorically clutching my head as I try and untangle these conspiracy threads. I’m so excited for season 2, but I know I’m gonna be re-listening and listening for stuff I missed. There are so many cool things about this podcast. The way the fictional sponsorships got folded into (and then removed from) the show was amazing, and I like the way Graham’s background is slowly revealed in bits and pieces and how there are still unanswered questions. Graham is a very good “mysterious backstory” woman, but she’s also the woman whose backstory is regularly brought up in joke-y asides by side characters. I love how there’s stuff that’s going unsaid by literally every person who’s being recorded on the podcast, but it’s gone unsaid because they all already know it, so there’s no need to explain it all. The threads have been (somewhat) sewn together and laid in place for another season, and it’s really clear how much thought went into writing this podcast, and I am about it. It’s hard to comment on the meta aspects of the podcast since I’m listening after it’s all been released. But the way TST comments on true crime podcast audiences and the acceptable lines of gray moral was fascinating and made me really wish I’d listened in real time. Definitely a podcast worth subscribing to!

Unique take on the investigation genre
After some of the earlier episodes I thought for sure I knew where this show was going. I planned for all the usual ‘paranormal investigation’ tropes to come out of the woodwork, but i just finished episode 8 and all I can say is WOW I did not see that coming. I’m excited to hear how all this ends. Cool new take on the somewhat tired ‘Investigative Reporter’ podcast genre.

Captivating and tense, without being humorless
Started listening to this show and then had suddenly caught up a day later - sad I have to wait for the next episode now! If you liked Limetown season one or similar shows, you’ll love this. The sound design, acting, and writing is all high quality, the storytelling keeps you on the edge of your seat - but there are still moments of comic relief that are genuinely funny. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the season!

    Hooked
This is sit in my car to finish the episode good. I was drawn in fully by the end of the first episode. The writing is wonderful. The acting is excellent. The sound design draws you in. I have to know what happened to Buddha!

    Audio drama with innovation
I thought I knew where this missing person mystery was going, until I realized I did not. This show zigs when you think it will zag, twists where you think it will turn, and it’s all fantastic. It has possible aliens, possible charlatans, definite cannibals, and unreliable narrators galore. One of the most interesting and inventive shows out there.

    Addictive
I haven’t listened to many docudramas, but I absolutely inhaled this one. I hope the cast creates more content (soon?) because I couldn’t get enough of this one. Super compelling, loved the twists. Highly recommend!

    Not today, bad acting
It’s so bad. The acting is so incredibly bad. Especially the woman. I lasted 4 minutes into. She is why I gave up after 3:53 minutes.

    If you find this....
I don’t know what I’ve found. Or if it will bring any answers. I feel like my journey’s half-way over, and yet when I turn around, so many paths seem to come to this point. Do you hear the voices? Can everyone hear the hum? The babies cry? Or is that just me? Did I even hear it, or did I want to hear it? Like the audience member for a mesmerist, is my mind tricked into “playing along”? I am I being a good sport, or is that what you tell yourself after the show? I’m certainly enjoying the experience, or at least that’s what I tell myself as my finger keeps reaching for the play button. I tell myself I need to wait, I need to bide my time, until I can focus. The sound - you must focus on the sound, listen to the story, their stories, A story that could be any one of us. Use both ears. Take your time. There will always be a next time - at least, there will be for now. This reaches into all the right places in my brain. The bits that like to question, that like to ask “what” and “if”. That want to trust, and want to remember what belief is. However this journey finishes, I’m glad for those responsible, and thank the damsel for guiding me to this path. (Sometimes she is called Blythe, but I hear that sometimes, she is also a cat).

    Compelling
I didn't really read anything about this before I started, so I didn't know what I was in for. This is a well-acted, well-produced drama. Every show like this has its little quirks, but I've enjoyed what I've heard so far! Keep it coming!

    The faux commercials
The fake commercials on this podcast are beyond unbearable and completely unnecessary. Be prepared to fast forward. They really bring the show down.

    Great podcast but has flaws
I’ve been enjoying this podcast. Great writing and acting with superb sound. It is a little disjointed though with some episodes lasting an hour while closely following the story and others lasting 5 min and following tangents designed to provide character development. Perhaps, but it doesn’t work well. I’d also like to see a different mix of the fake advertisements. I understand that they’re the same few because they’re the show’s “sponsors” but it really doesn’t add much and just causes me to fast forward through it as an annoyance. Fix that and you’ll be set.
  • Saucymincks
    A wild ride!
I absolutely love this show - it has kept me guessing since the first moment, and it has a stellar cast. The sound design is also fantastic, the fictional ads are a great touch, and the music is beautiful!

Cool concept for people who love true crime or good stories
I’m not much for story podcasts, usually I listen to stuff more like true crime like Crimetown, Sword and Scale, Last podcast on the left which if ya like shows like that this is up the same creek, but I really like this one too even though its not real. Reminds me of if classic Twilightzone made a true crime story. You get a bit of mystery and some interesting yarns about people who may know what happened to the missing character. It’s set kinda in the future so thats a cool twist too. I tried some other story telling shows before set in the future but they aren’t realistic like this one. I don’t like hunger games stuff so maybe thats why I like this more than the other shows.

    I’m obsessed
Been looking for a new show and this has hit the nail on the head! I’m in love with the characters and the soundtrack is so soothing. I’m into the mystery of the hunt for the treasure and for the missing Buddha. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

    Captivating mystery podcast
“Help me find Buddha!” I can already see potential merch coming from this podcast (dibs on a shirt when they’re for sale). I’m totally hooked. What a combination of captivating writing and story telling, talented voice actors, and AMAZING audio that accompanies the storyline perfectly. I love the blend of the soothing, almost lullaby-like background music and voice acting, paired with the intrigue and excitement of the storyline - pleasant to the ears but keeps you on the edge of your seat. You truly are taken on a journey. I cannot wait to figure out what happened to Buddha - and that $$$$! (Hoping Finn had proper back support when trekking that 5 mil in gold and diamonds into the mountains. 😂)
