    Democrats Need Sophia
I’m a 37 year-old, well-informed, queer woman. I am terrified for the state of our democracy, and I find myself constantly let down by my party. I love the MSNBC line-up, but I am finding myself more and more disenfranchised. I hear a lot of white voices wondering what we can do to get the black vote. I see older politicians, that I used look up to, scolding their base for expressing concerns regarding age. Sophia brings engaging and thoughtful guests to the table, relevant activists that are really making changes in the world, and talking about the issues that matter to the growing progressive base. This review comes after turning off “How to Win 2024” five minutes in and finding relief in Sophia’s latest episode. Keep up the great work! We need more people like you because politicians have blinders on. Trump is leading because he placates his base, he doesn’t scold them.

    Love this show
I came for Sophia but stayed for the amazing guests. I just listened to the Erin Brokovich episode and it’s my favorite. I don’t know if this show is going to come back with new episodes but I hope she decides to keep going after Drama Queens is done.

Positivity in Such a Negative World
When I started listening to podcasts, I gravitated towards True Crime because that sparked my interest. Little did I know at the time, but listening to True Crime Poscast as your only form of entertainment on your hour long commutes really messes with your head! I noticed myself becoming a very negative person whereas my whole life, people complimented my positivity. I started listening to WIP to boost my mood and it turns out I have learned some stuff along the way! Sophia has such a soothing voice and I love her passion. Thank you for helping my mental health! I hope you come back soon!

    Such great conversation
Man, I use to be a “background music while I work” kind of person, but Work in Progress has made me into a podcast person! I LOVE listening to this while I’m at work. There are such great conversations with such diverse guests and I’m always amazed about how much I learn! Thank you Sophia and I hope one day you’ll start making these again!❤️

First off B Davis is my favorite one tree hill character even though I relate more to Peyton. I throughly love this podcast. I’ve learned so much about myself and it really has given me a new perspective on everything. Thank you so much for this podcast

    So much wisdom
Wow! I’ve only listened to a few episodes so far (I started from the beginning) but I’m blow away by all the wisdom and knowledge being shared on this podcast. I’m a coach a nerd out on all things people and their programming and I love that Sophia and her guests share so much knowledge and wisdom! I’m so excited to add this podcast as a way for me to continue to grow and develop as a person and as a coach…we’re all a work in progress!

This is one of my favorite podcasts. It’s where I go sometimes when I need to gain some perspective and I want to hear from like hearted people.

    Awful host
She is a terrible host who tries to make the interview about her. Let the guest speak. Ill informed about the work of the guests too.

    Boring
She needs to get off her soap box. She’s old and boring. Trying so hard to stay relevant.

Thank you for sharing so many voices
Sophia and Team, Thank you for this wonderful podcast. I so appreciate getting to hear the diversity of voices doing amazing work. They excite my brain and widen my heart. It further inspires me to continue to do good works in this world, whether small or big, as my budget, time, and space allow. Kudos to you all for the good work you’re doing and for reminding us all that community, and lending a step up, is so important. Giving and advocating always leads to far more in return than you can ever imagine.

    Fantastic Podcast- Underrated!
Interesting guests from all walks of life. Sophia Bush is candid, smart, worldly and introspective. Her voice is VERY soothing also :)

    Love it!
I cannot tell you how cathartic it is listening to this podcast. I love learning and discussing social issues but I can’t always have these conversations with people nor do I always know what questions to ask. I love that Sophia sits down with people from all walks of life to share their opinions and have deep conversations about meaningful things.
  • annmarshall
    Agenda pusher
This woman thinks Hilary Clinton is an icon! Ummmm in what world?!?! Sophia Bush has a dangerous liberal view of how the world should work & never ever has an open mind. Yuck! She’s clearly pushing an agenda. Typical Hollywood. So uninformed.
  • ms livin
    Sophia talls so much
Sophia over talking her guests and making everything anecdotal to her is exhausting. Less look at me and my famous friends and more about what the person has done or lived. She has gotten worse if possible.
  • Don't Blink, youll miss it!
    A walk on the moon?
Hi. I’m currently listening to your episode w Tony Goldwyn. And he’s describing the movie he worked on for years and eventually directed. When he said 1969, I truly thought it was going to be the movie “A Walk On The Moon” one of my all time favs! But he just mentioned Dustin Hoffman… so I guess I’m wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️ But loving this interview so much!!!♥️♥️🤷🏻‍♀️

    Love!
I just recently started taking classes in women and gender studies. So many of these podcasts align with what i’m learning. I’ve been trying so hard to understand these concepts in order to be more informed on our lives. I am so thankful for this podcast to keep me informed and educated.

    Gushing Gratitude
WIP is always one of my most favorite podcasts! Deep gratitude for Sophia for being an example of how compassionate, thoughtful communication with such a wide variety of people doing work in so many important roles and areas of need in our world. And thank you for making me and so many others feel so seen! As a divorced mom with three kids I felt very seen and understood toward the end of the episode with Eric Zimmer. I do the best I can, but it’s a constant state of just keeping up. And yes, more access to mental health, resources for my own growth as well as support for my children is ALWAYS needed. It’s nice to hear that recognized in such a thoughtful way. (And my daughters name is Sofia) and she thinks it’s very cool to listen along with me. We especially love the episode with Abby Wambach ✨❤️✨ Thank you- I am literally gushing with gratitude! Aria

    One of my favorite pods
With such a wide variety of guests, Sophia hits the many corners of the world in an attempt to help us think hard about what we want from life & find ways to better ourselves and the world around us without judgement for the process. I get excited for every new episode.

Work In Progress is a Masterpiece!
Sophia is thoughtful, inquisitive, warm, and so smart. The questions she asks her guests and the preparation she does before each episode really makes Work In Progress a masterpiece. She was born to host and listening often feels like going back to school with your best friend. Her voice is soothing and her guests are inspiring. Their conversations will motivate you to be the change in the world! Thank you for this gift, Sophia, and for Drama Queens! Your podcasts are my favorite -A forever WIP smarty

    Great knowledgeable and funny podcast
We all know she’s amazing because not only is she so beautiful, she’s fascinatingly smart. I love that you could give us a podcast with a little bit of everything; learning and a good laugh. My favorite podcast by far! Also, a HUGE OTH fan so that’s a bonus.

    Fan Girling
I’ve been a fan since One Tree Hill, and then on to Chicago P.D., and I’m counting down until Good Sam can start. I even loved Partners, which should’ve had more seasons! Anytime I see “Sophia Bush”, I have to tune in or watch. Such a beautiful soul, and just inspiring. Fell in love with Brooke Davis, wanted to be Erin Lindsay, and just in awe of Sophia. That raspy voice gives me life. Huge fan of the podcast, the Natalie Portman and Chelsea Handler episodes are my favorite.

    Woah
You interviewed Hilary Clinton and called her an icon? She’s the same woman who “volunteered” to defend a man who raped a 13 year old girl, she got the evidence thrown out and bullied that little girl and made her cry on the witness stand and told her “she liked the attention of older men”, when Hilary was later questioned about it in an interview she laughed about it and said “we knew he did it, but we got the case thrown out” WOW, yeah she’s a real Icon! She’s an evil, Sadistic, disgusting human, and you’re a lesser human for promoting this person! You’re just as disgusting

Another semi-celeb chat pod. Pointless and uninspired.

    Love love love Sophia
I have been a fan of her since one tree hill (which is my favorite show ever!) loved her on Chicago pd also. She is amazing in all that she does! I love listening to this podcast! I couldn’t wait until the new season started since I was missing listening to it each week. I have learned a lot of stuff each episode from all the amazing people she has on the pod! Keep being awesome Sophia!!!!

    One of a kind-
Wow wow wow! I’m kind of in love with you and your mind- but definitely with this podcast. Thank you for such transparency, truth, and vulnerability. I have learned so much from these conversations, I have listened to many of them and can’t get enough! You and Glennon Doyle’s conversation gave me all the feels. I nodded my head throughout the conversation with tears and laughter as I was shocked at the words agreeing with my life. The truest words that came out of Candice’s mouth which resigned with me- “we only control things we don’t trust.” And that made my head start SPINNING, as if I was starting to figure things in my life out. So what did I do? I bought her book ♥️ AND your roommate conversation? I felt like I was sitting in your house with you, it was so light and comforting in a time where we can’t see our friends during COVID. Might even listen again! Thank you.

Awful show with a preachy attitude and an ill informed host. Don’t waste your time.

Wow!! This guy is so awesome!!! Thank you Dr Bush , creating all this awareness and solutions. We are in such desperate need for more of this type of thinking and taking action for our environment which has a direct effect on our health.

Would love to hear more from more people
I’ve been a listener since the beginning and tell people this pod is my second dose of therapy throughout the week. I love Sophia’s ideas and how unapologetic and unafraid she is to live her truth and share her beliefs and I’ve loved so many of her guests and their conversations. With that being said, a lot of her more recent guests are women in success, but that success specially pertains to climbing the corporate ladder or winning elections. I fear that it continues to perpetuate the idea that to be a successful women in the world, you need to be a CEO or to have created your own company or that making it to the senate in a corrupt government is the end all be all (I know this hasn’t been all of her guests but more recently I’ve seen this pattern take hold). I would love to hear more from people who haven’t yet been included in this podcast like a trans anarchist activist who works directly with their community to heal it from the ground up. I’d love to hear more from a non-binary person who works with children and families on dismantling the patriarchal ideas of gender and how toxic boxing people in by their birth sex is. I’d love to hear more from teachers, mental health professionals, community organizers who do outreach with youth and who work with the houseless community, not just people who own companies but people who study and critique the capitalist structure and work to amend it. I gave five stars because I know Sophia can find these people and bring them to her stage to teach the rest of us about more than just running a company or winning an election- these are good things, but they’re not all there is to do in life to be a success.

Igniting my sacred rage with every episode.
I love listening to Sophia and the interviews she conducts with her guests! After (almost) every episode I feel so inspired to do and be better! Sophia is so honest, smart, and eloquent when having the conversations she does with her guests. You can hear how impressed her guests are with her when she’s speaking. I cannot recommend this podcast enough to my family and peers!
  • Derek Loudermilk
    Great interviewer
Listening to the interview with James Hardt - really great questions and well prepared for the topic
  • roxyyxgiirl
    Inspiring to listen to!
First, I love Sophia’s level of enthusiasm, her transparency, and vulnerability on this show. She is not afraid to delve into anything because of her thirst for knowledge. But the diversity of the guests and topics of conversation are what makes this podcast so enjoyable. My only feedback is to keep the episodes at a more reasonable length. Most people’s attention spans can’t withstand two hour episodes. I know it’s a podcast so it can be paused, but I truly feel like any episode excessive in length inevitably loses its momentum and becomes unenjoyable.

Cant stop listening to this podcast
Omg can’t even begin to start this podcast just makes me realize to never give up into the fight for what I believe in and to never let anyone tell me that I can’t do something just because I’m a woman or just because of my special needs I think it’s amazing and you are an amazing woman and To be honest we need to people in the world like you. I also love the one that was put up today I just love listening to them❤️❤️

Came for OTH, stayed for OMG
I loved Sophia on OTH and knew she was brilliant from her instagram presence but wow. These conversations blow me out of the water. She is so informed and so genuinely curious which is so amazing to see in an actress I have looked up to my whole life. Her guests are AWESOME and I would listen to her say or read anything because....that voice!!!!!!!! But it helps that the content itself is of such amazing quality.
