bp_igTerrific reporting, engaging story and charactersOnly a few episodes in and I'm hooked. A podcast about North Korean drug trafficking wouldn't typically catch my attention. But this came highly recommended, and after just a few episodes, I understand why. This compelling tale provides an unusual view into the hermit kingdom via the crew/smugglers of the Pong Su — as they face heavy seas, Australian investigators, and likely worse fates back in NOKO if they fail.

fmedeadDisappointingIf you like hearing old Aussie blokes in bars talk about the time they “almost died” surfing, and you enjoy hearing stereotypical Asian accents voiced by actors when original recordings with traditional translation voiceover would do just fine, then this is the podcast for you.

Jess2100400Engaging and gripping - lots of detailWhat a fabulous listening experience. If you crave a true story told with detail and humanism, insight into a piece of North Korean life not often highlighted, and a series that is well produced - YES.

Jack_McCoyAwesomePhenomenal storytelling. Great subject for a podcast, different from the grisly true crime podcasts we’re all used to. The movie-like, immersive sound design really makes this one — truly cinematic.

boomer1zgThrilling, engaging, and detailedThe Last Voyage of the Pong Su is one of the most engaging podcasts I’ve listened to recently. It's attention to details, various commentators and people who were engaged in the affair, and great narrative, make this series a must-listen-to for anyone who enjoys a great thriller. The Age and SMH have once again delivered and I would highly recommend it.

Thabani_TImpeccableThe consideration behind all the varying elements is incredible! The podcast creates a cinematic experience that brings the story to life in a way few other True crime shows are doing. Keen to see where the team ventures next!
