To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, and to honor English professor Dr. Leland Ryken, the Departments of English and Biblical and Theological Studies at Wheaton College jointly sponsored a conference titled “Words of Delight: The King James Bible and Bible as Literature." Bringing together theologians, literary scholars, and historians, the conference celebrates the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible and honors Dr. Ryken, who for many years taught and wrote on the Bible as literature.
