Fegan is as good as it gets.
I subscribed to the Athletic to read more about the White Sox and could not appreciate James’ reporting more. Dude is top notch as a beat reporter and a features writer and his statistical/analytical stories are always great. He’s got a great eye for the game and you can tell he’s done his homework on this team and has important institutional knowledge at this point. All that being said, Greenberg’s gotta go. Came here to say that, ended up praising Fegan which I’d do all over again.

    5 stars with Fornelli
I’m an athletic subscriber and James is one of the best in the biz, but the “tongue in cheek” way that Greenberg continues to make it clear that he’s not a fan of the Sox is ham fisted. It’s like listening to a Sox podcast through the eyes of a rival team and makes this hard to listen to sometimes. The little brother syndrome already exists for the Sox, but goddamn we can’t even have a passionate fan at the helm of a podcast delivered by a service that has a monthly fee. Pretty whack

    Missing Fornelli
This was the top notch White Sox podcast since its inception. Fegan is absolutely fantastic and his interplay with Tom Fornelli was so enjoyable. Times being as they are, for budgetary/covid reasons Tom was cut and replaced with Jon Greenberg. Good lord this guy is dull and he drags Fegan down with him. I’m an Athletic subscriber and Greenberg does a good job as EIC but is total bleh on this podcast.

Deeper Analysis, Maybe A Little Less Humorous
IMHO James’ analysis of the players, management and the progression of the Sox has been deeper and more insightful since the switch in podcast partners. While I miss the banter with Tom, (the show is a bit less whimsical,) there are more baseball nuggets in each episode, which I appreciate. James is “wicked smart” about baseball, and it’s well-worth tuning in for Sox fans.

    Bring back Tom!
How is this a white Sox pod when Jon references the cubs every episode?

    Miss Tom
I understand the business (no pun intended), but this podcast is just better with Tom. Huge Greenberg fan, but Tom’s continued twitter presence for the Sox makes this a better draw with him. His continued excitement makes me want to listen to this, but then it immediately gets killed. Either way I’ll listen occasionally, but would dedicatedly with Tom. James you’re great.

Get a Co Host Who Cares
James is great but it is obvious Jon doesn’t care a wit about the White Sox or this show. Don’t know why he is bothering. Let James do it solo if he has to, it would be far better that way. Whatever was saved by ejecting Tom wasn’t worth it. I’ll skip the podcast and read James in The Athletic

    Great podcast before Tom left.
I loved the podcast when it was James and Tom. Nothing against Jon Greenberg, he seems fine, but Tom Fornelli was great, and I’m not loving the 8 minute, purely information, kinda awkward podcasts.

Great Podcast. Not quite as great without Tom
I’m not sure when or why this was moved to Apple, thought it was Athletic only... Understand cuts are happening at the Athletic but these 8 minute nothings with Jon aren’t much of a podcast. Bring Tom back or let James at least carry on the real spirit of it with Jon / Whoever.

    A Shell of a Show
Show now seems to be on life support, as Tom has been let go & there is no longer a commitment to recording full episodes. The 7-8 minute “podcasts” only seem to exist as a way of advertising James’ latest article on The Athletic. An absolute shame to see this show go down the toilet so quickly.

    White Sox fan must listen
James is inside the clubhouse and brings that access to the fans. On top of that he gives a level headed and analytical insight about the White Sox.

    Funny and informative
I never knew how horrible trying to transfer out of Turkey could be. Freedom for a young player over there seems so far away after 4+ requests that might have been ill timed. Oh yeah and it’s a good Sox podcast if you’re into that...

The greatest White Sox podcast of all time
This is the Frank Thomas of White Sox podcasts.

    Something to listen to
A very entertaining podcast about my favorite MLB team. Tom Fornelli doesn’t sound like I thought he would in my head. James is cool.

    Cam Is Da Man
This show - this golden goose among meek pidgeons - is a masterpiece, and it's all thanks to the man rarely heard, never seen, routinely read, but always there, producer Cam. Tom and James should thank their lucky stars they have such a hot producer like Cam.

    Go Go White Sox!
The 1 minute was compelling. Can’t wait for more! This year will be worth the time investment getting to know the team in depth.

    wow
that fegan guy seems alright, tom seems sketch

    Liked it but short
This pod is 1 minute of Tom Fornelli telling us we listen to pods in the bath and making Poe references. Good start.

    Two stars are born!
This is by far the best Bachelor podcast out there. Or maybe it’s about the White Sox. Who can say?

Tom Fornelli is hot hot hot
I love to love Tom, who is very hot.

    Fornelli + Fegan are great
Not only are Tom and James very knowledgeable about the White Sox, they are incredibly funny and handsome too
