    What I've Been Looking For
Just the right level of expertise that I have been looking for. We have a grandkid so it is appropriate for us.
  • Thats Fresh
    Painfully Cute
This podcast is almost exclusively for children it’s so saccharine. The host’s way of speaking is excruciatingly excited, like an actor. When he speaks on the phone with other people to interview, his tone becomes totally normal, and I wish that was the voice he used for the entire show. This could be really interesting if it stuck to one guest talking at length about one topic, instead it’s hopping around and trying to be extra cute. Also MiracleGrow is the sponsor.

    Sponsored by miracle gro?
Seriously? Shame on you guys. You’re actually promoting a company that actively kills and causes so much damage to so many lives every single day. This is horrible.

    Unpopular review
Good show untell his guest brought up how plants save him from white supremacy.

    Wokeness and planting
Yes they found a way to combine wokeness and planting into one podcast. If that sounds exciting go ahead listen but it’s a hard pass for me.

    Questionable sponsors
Would like to make the producers of this show aware that having a show about growing and plants, sponsored by a product (miracle grow) that does irreparable damage to our ecosystems and agricultural communities and personal health, makes absolutely no sense. Please review the products that support your show and question whether their sponsorship is worth the harm that this products are causing.

    Love it!
This is a fun and informative podcast. Love learning more about gardening at home - the host Mangesh is a gem and his guests are always knowledgeable. Next step is trying to keep my plants alive!

    Felt bad for his kid
Was a big fan until I heard the host say “my child is a they/them” in the episode that was about how it’s fine for men to be into gardening. Yikes. Time to do some research on trans and queer issues and how to refer to people respectfully. This child uses they/them pronouns, they aren’t “a they/them” any more than the host is a he/him.

    The most heartening feel-good podcast
This podcast makes me laugh and smile so warmly in a way only being connected with the earth can do. The host is so genuine and sweet. I truly couldn’t wait for the second season!

    Inspired to just try
I have truly enjoyed listening to gardeners from across the country talk about struggles and successes of growing in whatever circumstances they have available in their backyard. The poems are also fantastic!

Start small & know you’re gonna kill stuff...
That sounds morbid, but at the same time it’s reassuring. Because of that little statement I’ve become a more confident houseplant/garden grower. I gave all my girlfriends monsters plants for the new year while paraphrasing this show and the hopeful message behind why Mangesh likes this plant so much (the symbolism was beautiful). I’ve learned a lot about how important gardening is on so many levels, from personally to societally. It’s inspired me to plant cucumbers this year and see what I come up with. I also love listening to this show because it brings me peace just to hear Mangesh’s voice. I get the sense that he’s smiling the entire time he’s talking. I like that. We need more peace. We need more smiling. I’m so excited a new season is coming soon!

This podcast is a little oasis garden
I enjoy this podcast so much, it’s one of my absolute favorites. It’s hosted so well, composed and produced flawlessly, and always entertaining, but even more, it’s like stepping into a garden with a good friend and taking a deep breath and who doesn’t need that?

    A wonderful and relaxing podcast!
I love this podcast so much and highly recommend it for everyone I know!

    Not for critters
Almost every plant you suggest would be eaten by rabbits, gophers, ground squirrels, rats and mice in my area. Also, some soil amendments, like gromulch, burn the plants when the gromulch is added to our harsh soil. I think your podcast is mostly for urban or suburban gardeners. And I would never use a Miracle-Gro product - it leaches into soil and is artificial. No thanks.

    So Happy I Found This!
Gardening has always been my “therapy” and I love the stories & gain so much inspiration from them - and you! Did my first Yoga in the garden today - before I finished the fall harvest & start spreading the compost & dirt to get ready for spring. I always feel better outside - physically & mentally! Keep this going - it’s a fabulous podcast!

So glad I found this podcast
I’m so glad I found this podcast, great short stories and ideas retaliated to plants and gardening. Now I want to grow a egg and chips plant to donate extra food to my local boys home. ❤️❤️

    Miracle Grow???
I love love LOVE your content. I’m so excited to hear diverse voices in this arena. As much as I like some of the middle-aged white ladies, we need space for other gardeners! That being said... you’re *really* gonna advertise for MiracleGrow? Their products are poison. It’s fine for folks to use IF that’s all that’s available, but PLEASE be more cautious about who you support! Especially considering that a huge chunk of your last episode was dedicated to respecting the earth and growing responsibly. It’s out of line with your values, and I’d like to see it gone. I’ll still keep recommending your podcast, but only to very close friends who I know won’t use MiracleGrow... and only after a quick warning that you do.

    Humans Growing Stuff
This is much more than a gardening show. Warm, human, and reflective, it is a pleasure for the soul. Mangesh gives advice on more than plants and leaves the listener feeling nurtured and restored. It is lively, humorous, and never boring either in substance or style. Great pandemic softener!

    Only one problem
As an avid vegetable gardener, I just got back inside from putting my squash and tomato gardens to bed for the winter, I love that you are encouraging people to garden. I have been gardening for years and was the Vice President of my town’s community garden for several years. I now have three garden plots at home. But I really have a problem that your podcast is sponsored by Miracle Grow. I grow organically and the community garden is all organic too. I wish you could find a different sponsor.

    Funny, deep, and relatable!
This show has covered so many relatable and honestly important topics that I never would have considered in gardening. I am new to gardening and growing and this show makes me feel part of the conversation. They also dive into important topics like the origins of growing and representation. FIVE STARS!

    A wonderful podcast!
As a fan of mental floss and PTG, I was excited to listen something else Mango was a part of. I was worried when I first learned that this was a gardening-themed podcast, of all things, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I have learned a lot from the first few episodes, and have truly enjoyed listening to them.

Laughing and crying with my plant babies 🌱
Touching, tounge and cheek, and totally fun! Made me realize the connection plants have to our growth as humans and our relationships to ones we love.
