Great show with great banter and insights from Mike and Jessie. Love the honesty from Mike gio. Just a great sports card show for hardcore and casual collectors.

This show doesn’t attack those of us who can’t afford to buy Boxes of Newer cards & it’s not all about graded cards. Sum of us just like older cards this show seems pretty good with that.

At its worst, there is a short non-college educated guy from Massachusetts perpetuating every negative stereotype about his kind while he belittles a kind giant trying to learn. At its best, it plans parties. A+ show

I learn so much from it and I love the show

I have been a listener of this show since the first episode and have thoroughly enjoyed it as an entertaining weekly update on what is going on in the world of sports cards and more. HOWEVER, in the past few months the tension between hosts Mike and Jesse seems to be at an all-time high. They have always bickered (Mike usually being grumpy and making fun of Jessie), but what was once mostly friendly seems to have taken the turn of exhaustion and personal limits being reached. I know there have been big life changes (Mike having a child), and the uncertainty of a contract extension with Spotify, that may be contributing to this increased tension. What was once entertaining banter has become unenjoyable to listen to and negatively impacts the quality of the show. My hope is that uncertainties and attitudes will improve in the near future, and Mike and Jesse can leave outside distractions at the door and continue focusing on the quality and execution of the podcast. I’ve learned a ton about the hobby listening to new and old episodes. These guys are just great to listen to, insightful, funny, transparent too. From the jump, Mike’s no-holds-barred honesty was apparent. And Jesse’s a great example on how to not take things personally. Thanks big guy 💯 The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of the audio issues. Seems like every episode will have a clip that’s either repeated, or cut out, and I’m not sure why. Maybe Spotify has a different file? **update: I think it’s just my phone messing up the file. I’ve rewound eps to find that the audio issue was no longer there. Upgraded to five stars. And added a note about Joey Lawrence being in Blossom since the guys were struggling in an ep from like 2021 to remember what he was in besides Brotherly Love.

I have changed my mind on this podcast after initially not liking Jesse. He is actually a good host to help teach newbie nuances to people. I do like the more advanced talks from Mike and enjoy the banter between the 2.

Why have Jesse as a host on a show with a name like this?? What audience you think it attracts? Most of the episodes are complete nonsense and dont help my sportscard knowledge or portfolio at all and Im not a guy that keeps up on sports daily. Every few shows ill hear a good one. Sportscard Nonsense might be the best name for this show.

Jesse is fun and Mike is knowledgeable. Listening to the two debate sports, TCG, and hobbies is entertaining! Whether you are a new listener or an old one, this podcast has something for everybody. Great discussions by Jesse and Mike and a true scope into the sports cards world! Best podcast on the hobby by far!

Listener since day one- please for the love of aliens get Jesse to 1) pay attention to what ANYONE on the show is actually saying before stating his ridiculous opinion, 2) know what he is talking about rather than simply reciting other online personalities, media pundits, etc., 3) know what he is talking about at all. Nothing like a “show for the hobby” having 3 days of hobby experience. Mike? He’s pompous. But knows what he is talking about. And is very entertaining love. A good co-host would do this show wonders.

An entire episode with MLB Network’s Mark Feinsand and no mentions of the World Series Champion Texas Rangers. The Rangers arguably have the best shortstop, second baseman, first baseman, third baseman, right fielder, and catcher along with post-season record setting starting pitcher and left fielder. But no hobby love. Only Adrian Beltre was mentioned. I love your show and this was a great guest, so I still have to give 4 stars.

I would rather listen to Carlos talk about Digimon for an hour than listen to Jesse struggle through a sports conversation. It’s one thing to not know what you’re talking about, it’s a whole other thing to be so wrong but with confidence. “Warner is in the Hall of Fame, but not the big Hall of Fame.” - Jesse “Why is Babe Ruth popular? Is it the pitching and hitting thing?” - Jesse Look, I know it won’t happen, but Mike needs another co-host or at least a third chair to minimize the input of milquetoast Jesse.

Jesse should have a segment at the beginning of each show to recap errors he made from the previous episode. I do enjoy the show, and I get that Jesse isn’t a sports expert, but it’s tough to listen to episodes where Jesse continues making statements that are incorrect. It’s not a one off…it’s every episode. Other than that, the show is great!

This show was enjoyable from the beginning but it’s gotten substantially better as they’ve gotten more reps. Jesse even sounds completely comfortable hosting the show on his own now. It’s informative and entertaining, everything I could want.

That might have been the worst episode I have listened to. The schtick is Jessie does not know sports yet I listened to a 15 minute discussion on why Babe Ruth would be terrible in this day and age. Mike… you say that it would be boring with 2 hosts who know the subject matter…. That segment was not entertaining nor informative in anyway. It was awful. Same with the 20 minute discussion on back up QBs a month ago where Jessie was listing guys who had been in the league for 10 years as possible guys to watch (I get the young back ups). Appreciate the effort but gotta play to your strengths!!

A sports card podcast where one of the hosts doesn’t know anything about sports and actively cheers for the downfall of cards because he doesn’t understand it. If Jesse collected a sport or even had teams he enjoyed maybe it could be manageable. Instead I have to hear about lorcana and stupid hobby scandals because he’s fluent on those. Mike brings the needed knowledge but is often negative/grouchy. Also the endless need to use SCANDALS and FRAUD at the start of the titles is doing the hobby no favors and won’t get you renewed.

Purdy is overrated, showing his true colors, Herbert is so overrated, Hurts is already paid. You wanna waste money on cards, listen to these morons. They want you to buy their cards and chase these overrated players in their overpriced breaks. Buy hall of famers and goats.

I had no idea Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. now do a sportscard podcast. Great second career to kid scaring. Not sure Sully is into it though. Doesn’t know lineman and linebacker are different positions? Why are we doing here?

Podcast has evolved in a good way. Great banter, relevant card news, funny non-card stories. Last episode (Vintage Trivia especially) was laugh out loud funny. Leave the actual economics talk to the experts, guys. Don’t need to hear how ‘looting in California snd Philadelphia’ relates to Tua rookies.

This is my favorite pod. The hosts are so good and they are great at back and fourth talking and I just love this.!!

Really good radio - they keep things moving. Hosts know how to play off each other. Not afraid to avoid conflict/confrontation. The challenges for people to come on program to defend themselves is classic Howard Stern.

Great podcast. Host are great. Good stuff.

Mike and Jesse are so entertaining and informative. I truly love the back and forth between them. They have the best chemistry. They come with informative information but keep me entertained. I will not miss an episode

SportsBoi is the reason this show succeeds. Mike is Jerry Seinfeld - a caricature of a character. Lovely but a one-note symphony. Jesse is George, Kramer, and Elaine. Every foible and interesting plot line starts and ends here. Long love SportsBoi. All that said, I would like to have some Jerry. (See what I did there?)
