I was enjoying this podcast until you interviewed a former IDF member in the hate episode. Why would you interview a literal settler colonialist? I’m tired of the Pro-Israel rhetoric bye.

I love listening while grocery shopping. It’s super fun and feels very smart without being overly technical or boring. Dessa is a top notch podcaster.

Man. I was on a podcast hiatus, tired of everything, then clicked randomly on this. Now I’m in love with the show and a little bit with Dessa. The production value is super high (music, editing, etc.) and the subject matter well covered. That said, my favorite part is the writing. I believe most of the high fives go to Dessa for that, but props to all the others involved. You’ve all made an accessible, meaningful podcast that I’m talking to everyone about.

Dessa is fantastic! She has a wonderfully soothing voice and is easy to listen to. I know a lot goes into making podcasts but this I’ve seems so easy and effortless. I already binged them all. Looking forward to more episodes!

I have loved every episode so far

I’m an enormous Dessa fan, a pop science nerd, and a constant podcast listener, so when this show appeared on the scene, it was as if someone had said, “Hey, make a Venn diagram of things you love, and you can have whatever is in the exact center.” Two seasons in, it continues to live up to its potential in every way. It’s beautifully written, produced, and scored, and Dessa’s rampant curiosity and absolute joy in learning shine through at every moment, making her the perfect host. This podcast makes me go, “HUH!” out loud more often than any other, and I hope very much that more episodes are in the works!

Dessa has an unexpectedly soothing voice. Is that good editing? Or what she actually sounds like in real life? Is everything fake? She’s not annoying or long winded. Topics are interesting and relatable. So many podcasts now are entirely focused around ads and putting a spotlight on this weeks product/service/business... she doesn’t do that. Ads are short and sweet. You don’t feel like you’re listening to an MLM pitch. It’s solid content. The content is the content. Nobody is trying to sell you on anything. I know none of this sounds convincing but.. it’s my new favorite podcast.

Loving this podcast! Dessa’s selection of topics and guests are always intriguing. She also really knows how to turn a phrase. Of course I knew that already from her music and writings. I would like to hear more about her experiences in India that mentioned recently.

If you’re not already listening, there’s a season and a half available... why aren’t you? There’s always something in each episode that “hits home” (of course, some more than others), and always something to be learned. The title pretty much says it all. Dessa and guests share with honesty, education, and often humor.

A great entertaining and fascinating podcast. Dessert is wonderful and witty. Love it!

I could listen to Dessa read from an old phone book, her voice is that good. Fortunately, the content is just as good as her voice!

I’ve found a much sense, inspiration and beauty from your thoughtful podcast. Consider too, that we are not the only species that is attracted to a buzz or rather, altered consciousness. It may involve desire to know more, perceive more.

I love this podcast because as you listen you start to observe the topics in the world around you and it gives a fresh take on day to day experiences! Dessa and associates, what are your thought on an episode about traffic? The science to prevent it or keep it moving, how we get in such jams and how it affects people. Thanks for the great podcast! This is going to take more than 45 seconds. I have listened to just one episode and the host is so good I want to write a review. Dess has this factor about her that is magnetic. The way she speaks and has side comments throughout her factual analytics keep me listening and laughing. Kudos to your auora, you are so enjoyable.

The concept is interesting. Dessa is a phenomenal host. The music is also great and the production value superb.

Animated by Dessa’s curiosity and leavened by her wry sense of humor, Deeply Human delivers thoughtful, concise, compelling episodes on key but insufficeintly examined experiences of being human. It’s one of those rare podcasts where I never miss an episode. No matter what the topic, I know Dessa and her team will do it justice. I very much hope it continues past these first dozen episodes.

Dessa, you’re incredible! I learn so much listening to these episodes. I love your poetic way of explaining and exploring our deep human depths...I’ve replayed full episodes simply because of how beautifully you express the concepts you cover. I recommend your podcast to *everyone* I know.
