The Table Is Ours

122

Black people in every industry – entertainment, sports, politics, culture – have worked hard to forge new paths and make change, and we want to talk about it. On The Table Is Ours, hosts Kirby Dixon and Amira Lewally are doing exactly that. Instead of asking for a seat at the table, we are building our own. Through open, honest and deep conversations we’ll learn how Black identity has informed, empowered and fortified the lives and careers of our Black faves. Listen up, because we are only getting louder.

    Love this show
The hosts are so inviting and comforting, every episode feels like a conversation between friends at a dinner table rather than an interview format. You can tell every guest appreciates every question asked — which has perfect range between casual to hard-hitting — and has so much to say naturally. Great show!

    My New Obsession!
The hosts are AMAZING. It feels like talking with my friends. Also love that there is a platform to hear from black women about black peoples moments of struggles and celebrations. Best podcast around!!!

    Best entertainment industry insider podcast!
This podcast continues to dazzle me month after month. I listen to a ton of entertainment industry podcasts and am floored at the value this one brings. The hosts are smart, thoughtful, and beyond their years. The guests are A list powerhitters and via the power and charm of these hosts, get extremely vulnerable in this setting. The content quality continues to blow me away and I look forward to receiving new episode notifications every single time!

    A Must Listen!
Very rarely do we get content that celebrates the black experience while also articulating the struggles and obstacles black folk experience on a daily basis but this podcast excels in both those areas. Kirby and Amira are charismatic and relatable and being able to get a glimpse into the minds of these iconic guests they have on this show is a real treat! Bravo!

    Commies
These people are communist and want to undermine the Freedoms we now and love because they think it’s racist. Even though those same freedoms allow the to say thus garbage.

    Effervescence
The first episode felt like I was enjoying a fabulous brunch while casually eavesdropping on Kirby & Amira. Looking forward to more of their sparkling personality as they chat with more guests & discuss issues of the day.

    Great episode
I loved the energy between the two hosts! They were able to provide an environment for the guest to really lean in to the conversation and speak candidly. Emphasis on conversation, definitely not your typical interview.
