    Great Content, Terrible Production
The quality of the episodes is terrible, even though the content is great.

    Quality Content; Poor Production
These guys clearly know the business and provide great insights into an exciting industry. Unfortunately, it seems like nobody listens to the episodes before they’re launched and that no editing is being done. Time to bring in some advertisers so you can pay someone to edit/produce or hire a high schooler. Either option would be better than what you’re putting out at the moment.

    Good material
Not a big podcast listener but I wanted check out what’s out there during a long drive and now I like this. Just long enough episodes and nice news bits from industry.

    audio quality
Good podcast but Edward needs a quality microphone that does not clip/suppress levels. It gets annoying trying to follow his commentary.

    Back to the good stuff
The first episodes with Jay back were a bit awk, but the pod and the publication has gone back to the numbers, details and analysis that I find insightful. It has gone from an if I have time pub and podcast to a must read and listen.

    Hosts don’t mesh
I used to enjoy this podcast because it was insightful. There are still some interesting discussions on airline news and industry happenings, but it feels as if the hosts are not really engaged in the show. Ned Russell seems like a genuine and caring guy who loves all things transportation related. He does his best to explain stories and analyze without criticizing things. However, it seems that Madhu always wants to point out problems. Simple things like pretending like the audience may not understand an abbreviation or poking fun at a comment. Ned Russell deserves a better co-host who is more respectful and on the same page as he is. Madhu might be a good guy but he comes across quite obnoxious on here and I cannot stand hearing him speak. I rarely listen anymore and removed it from favorites.

    What’s behind the bad ratings?
It seems people have a grudge against the hosts. I enjoy the conversational nature of this podcast. The hosts are knowledgeable and well informed.

    Missing facts
They talked about not knowing when restaurants and tourist attractions would open in France. They said : « yeah, you may get to go to Paris, but you may not be able to do anything when you get there. » That may be true at the moment, but Macron has a plan for opening things up, and I would suspect by July or August people would find plenty to do. You may be eating outside on restaurant terraces, but that’s okay.

    Volume control, lack of knowledge
The volume control inconsistency makes it impossible to pay attention. I have to have my volume the whole way up at times, then my eardrums are burst at others. It also seems the host truly is just speculating on trends rather than basing discussions on empirical data. I don’t really learn anything new from this podcast that I didn’t know as an educated member of the aviation world.

    Zero optimism
This podcast seems to be obsessed with the corona virus and it’s adverse affect on the aviation industry. As real world numbers and data shows a substantial increase in passenger travel and the unleashing of pent up demand this podcast seems to be wishing for the worst. Super depressing and typical from this demographic.

    Utterly unlistenable
I don’t think Madu (sp?) actually has a clue. He was surprised there’s traffic to Florida. The content is essentially a couple of outsiders with very limited, surface knowledge of airlines. There’s very little preparation that’s goes into the podcast which becomes abundantly clear. Just because you try to be contrarian with the way you say leisure isn’t fooling anyone. Quality of audio is horrendous. Finally, keep your left wing politics out of an airline podcast. I know it’s hard for a couple of California wannabe media types but seriously, cut it out

Please outline or script some shows
Lately there has been so many stuttering and sentence stumbling that’s it’s really affected the quality of a program I used to enjoy. Please consider scripting or at least outlining each episode - it really needs some more formatting to help. Best wishes.

    Used to be great
Loss of two very knowledgeable host left podcast in the hands of the B team. Full of lots of Oh’s and Ah’s by current host.

    Airline Weekly
This is a shadow of what this podcast used to be. The host is not well informed and the Skift experts are also somewhat shallow in explains the industry. Pity

    Good Content Bad Quality
As usual there are great interviews and insight but the audio is such poor quality. This seems like it’s recorded from a cell phone speakerphone that’s across the room. Really wish they would improve the quality.

    Used to be 5 Stars
Don’t wast your time. I used to love listening to Seth and Jason talk airline finances. They turned incredibly dry content into exciting stuff. The new format is dry and un-engaging. Disappointed to say this, but I’m unsubscribing. It was fun while it lasted.

A must-listen for anyone who loves the commercial aviation business
Enjoying the new format and Madhu is both knowledge and a joy to listen to. The Air India privatization episode was very interesting- I expected a mention of internal ‘social’ routes Air India are required to operate due to Government diktat despite making no commercial sense. Be interested hear more from Jay on this story.

    Terrible now
Seth and Jason had great financial info. Seth has great industry knowledge and kept the interest. The new host (who flat out said he hated 747 because it's old), obviously shows he knows nothing about aviation. I think it's time to unsubscribe to this garbage.

    Used to be good
This show was much better when Seth Kaplan and Jason Cottrell was here. If they are not coming back, at least bring back similar content about airline financial analysis, please. The new episodes of executive interviews were quite boring. (Singapore one was a little better, others were horrible.)

    Recently ruined
Used to be great with Kaplan. Hard to listen to now. Bring back Seth!

    Bring back Seth Kaplan
Bring back Seth Kaplan. This is terrible now

    What happened to Seth?
seriously, used to listen religiously. bored now

    Good content BUT....
You guys need to figure how to produce a podcast that doesn’t have issues like volume level consistency, the CEO needs to take some serious broadcast courses in order to NOT run out of air while speaking. It seems as if he’s gasping for air in order to finish a sentence. It is hard to listen to the end of his sentences. The volume level between commercials and the podcast itself is all over the place. I’m an aviation geek and would love for you guys to fix all these production/technical issues. We love your content, not the production.

    Great show
Helps me keep a finger on the pulse of the airline industry.

    Great info
Wow this is worth a listen awesome overview of the airline industry. "This is a sponsored Review".
  • MadMartyinMichigan
    Great subject, hosts need polish.
Lots of excellent airline industry info and analysis. Way too many "umms" and "aahs" make listening to it kind of choppy.
  • Traveling2
    Great insights on commercial aviation
Insightful show focusing on the state of global commercial aviation. A must listen for those in the industry!

    Love this podcast!
One of the best out there. Good overview of industry.

    Excellent airline industry podcast
Anybody with an interest in the business side of the airline industry will be fan of this podcast. The two hosts have great dynamic, are entertaining to listen to, and deliver expert perspective and insight into the industry. While I'm an avgeek, this is far more focused on the business aspects of airlines. However, I find the podcast fascinating and helps even the casual observer understand the business decisions that affect operations.

    Great podcast!
Great podcast! I listen to it every week, always interesting insights and analysis! Highly recommended.
  • HHDC1
Superb for anyone interested in aviation
The two hosts are incredibly knowledgable, have a really good banter, and cover all the major business issues impacting commercial aviation today.

A necessity for anyone in the business side of the airline industry
This podcast has become one of my go-to resources as an airline industry professional. What's different about the Airline Weekly Lounge versus other sources of news is Seth's ability to take public announcements and knowledge and dig deeper than anyone on what it means and why we should care. Great work guys and keep it up!
  • OzMik
Industry insights with fun and flair
Indispensable for anyone interested in the global civil aviation industry; a convenient summary of the week's news presented with clarity, concision and occasional comic relief! Bravo!

    Awesome podcast
    This provides great information

    Nerdy as hell, but fascinating
I have no stake in or connection to the airline industry -- I just find it a fascinating industry to hear about. These guys are definitely worth listening to if you think airlines are interesting.
