New player2Super helpfulLove the episode on sewing your stash. That tip about sewing from your stash every other project is perfect for me. My stash is huge but had very few knits. With the help of Seamwork, I’m getting back into sewing with knits. This top goes with a tip shared on another episode about alternating sewing a tried and true pattern that sews up easily with a pattern that has a bit more challenge for me. Love the you tube channel, love the podcast and especially the website and patterns. 👍👍

JeneffleurageLike a Wise Sewing FriendI enjoy listening to Seamwork Radio. It’s like having a wise sewing friend who comes to visit, chat, offer advice and perspective. I feel somewhat alone in my sewing. There are no dressmakers friends around me, no area fabric stores that feel like they aren’t just catering to a quilt making crowd. Having dressmaking content on tap is really lovely and the conversational tone of Sarai and Haley is both energizing and chill. Thanks for broadcasting.

Quizme17Like having company in your sewing room! What a delightful podcast! I learn so much from Sarai and Haley, about sewing, but also about being purposeful and mindful while pursuing your sewing hobby! Great advice on sewing with a plan and taking your time. Great topics and wonderful insights.

geeemomThis is just what I’ve been looking for.A couple of years ago the sewing podcast I was hooked on suddenly ended and none of the other ones I listened to measured up. This was such a lonely time. This podcast is easy to listen to as I putter around in my sewing room. I love that the podcast isn’t interrupted with loud ads. I also love it that you re-cap at the end of each episode. Good information and wonderful patterns on the website. I appreciate not having to join FaceBook in order to participate in the community. Just listened to your interview with Jenny Doan. I love what she says about taking a class that is something new. It’s such a good way to meet other people and stay amazed.

mrs mc gonagall's sisterBeginner at 71Just bought a Bernina 720 used, and am learning to sew garments for fun. Love your podcasting information. I’m feeling inspired after listening and am getting past the frightening possibilities of wasting money making mistakes. And!..your formula outfit suggestions stirs up confidence in my planning dates for shopping with my daughter. Love the energy girls, thank you. I want to sign up and get better at this.

Captain Kanga5 Outfit FormulasI loved this episode because it gave really practical advice. Actually, I love your podcast because it is so practical. Thank you!

One old grannyWill I learn something? The first thing I remember making was a beaded fringed dress for my Barbie 62 years ago. There have been years of sewing a bit, sewing a lot and not at all. Listening to you has been fun and I have learned a thing or two!! Thank you for stressing that numbers are data to be used. Not things to just cause shame! Soon I will accept the challenge of getting myself together, sifting through my sewing room and coming up with a delightful, wearable, unique to me, garment of joy!

Wednesday 12/30/2020Hanging with the cool girls…I love hanging out with my favorite non-judgy cool girls. I always feel like I can take on the world after listening. Thank you for the best part of the week.

ReginaLCasnerThank you!Thank you for such a great podcast! I’d about given up on finding a sewing/making podcast that was similar to my values! Each episode leaves me feeling inspired and encouraged! Thank you for being so awesome!

colofarmgirlRefreshing!Thank you for having a refreshing podcast, informative and a great variety of topics!

Danger CarrieFavorite podcastI joined Seamwork for DYW in 2021 and haven’t done much with my membership besides that until recently. Normally I’d cancel memberships I’m not actively using, but I kept paying every month because I wanted to support the podcast. I listen to every episode as soon as it drops!! Now I have more time to put towards the Seamwork community and I love it! Super excited to participate in the Dara sew along and Friday zoom sessions. One thing I would love to see is a serger tutorial/course/podcast episode. The learning curve for these babies is steep! Thanks so much for all your hard work ladies!!
-
Antoinette@2019Very HelpfulI look forward to listening to this podcast every day. As I am going back and listening to the past ones. I helps me put a little bit of sewing into my day and not feel disappointed if I don’t get to work on a project outside of my 9-5.

MattP.220Pinterest EpisodeJust wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this episode. I look on Pinterest but did not know how to utilize this site. You really opened my eyes to looking at new things and ways to use it. Love listening to you. Vicki D.

Andrea VehigeIgnited my sewjo!I discovered Seamwork radio when I decided I wanted to start taking sewing more seriously. I binged every episode, and still re-listen to my faves frequently! The show is how I discovered Seamwork and became a member, which has been invaluable to me. I thought I was enrolling to get access to the pattern vault, but quickly discovered the *insane* value of the community! I have learned so much and can trust that when I have a question, other sewists will be there to help me! Thank you, Sarai and Haley!! :)
-
KarinBGGreat but overuse of like is distractingI enjoy this podcast for sewing inspiration, but I am so distracted by Haley saying “like” that I sadly have to turn off the podcast. Cutting out the likes would make this podcast 5 stars! This is something that can be unlearned, so perhaps give it a shot? Otherwise it is an informative and helpful podcast for sewists.
-
LizzythebugGood for my creative soulThis podcast energizes my creativity when I’m in a slump and makes me think in a completely different way about fabric, textiles, sewing, and all the little pieces involved in every sewing project. These conversation makes me feel less isolated and part of a larger community. I love to think about my own answers to the icebreaker questions and share them with my friends who also create with fabric.
-
PoliticalpatThrifting tipsExcellent podcast, I think I do what you do, I call it the circuit. I like to buy patterns, notions etc. I have been downsizing my clothing wardrobe so do not buy more as interested making my new one. However now I may take a look, I liked the suggestion of outerwear! Really enjoy your well planned and thought out podcasts! Thank you!!

GeorgielewBest new year gift for yourselfLove this encouraging, intelligent and nurturing podcast. So knowledgeable and generous with that knowledge.
-
GemmasGrammyPodcast ratingI absolutely love this podcast anchored by two knowledgeable and professional sewing women! There’s just enough fun to keep it light! I love the way you structure each podcast with an icebreaker then kind of an outline for the info you’re going to share. Thank you!
-
Irritated 2017Entertaining and always useful informationThis podcast is a nice companion to the Seamwork community. I’ve been sewing for decades and still glean something new from each episode. I especially enjoy the ones on nurturing creative process.
-
ArmaughGreat podcastOne of my favorites. Love how “seamless” the two of you flow in getting useful information out along with a bit of your personal lives. I learn something each time I listen.
-
Adriana-mayaThank you Seamwork!I absolutely love the seamwork podcast! I’ve been listening for maybe for about a year and a half and it’s honestly my favorite podcast I listen to. I love Sarai and Haley’s personal stories and fun tangents (please don’t ever stop this!) along with all their insightful and helpful tips about all things sewing. I look forward to the podcast every week and feel like it’s just my time to think about my favorite hobby. I could not recommend this podcast enough, it’s the perfect mix of entertaining, personal, and educational. Thank you Seamwork!
-
atolivaresLove the podcast but….Love this podcast. Im a new listener and have already learned a ton but honestly sometimes I have to stop listening to take a break from Haley’s terrible vocal fry which is sometimes alot worse than other times. She holds out that last word sooo long it becomes soo annoying.

publisher66Sewing fearsGreat podcast, I often get bogged down with fear of, just lack of confidence. I need to sew more to build my confidence. Fitting is one of my fears, I made a skirt and I didn’t like the way it fit, and it did not look good on me. I put it aside and didn’t start sewing again for 3 years. I don’t want that to happen again. I am currently in the beginner’s class on Seamwork’s to refresh and build confidence. Love you podcast!! Linda

Stuntmonkey007Thanks for the inspo!I wanted to take the time to rate and review because I truly love this podcast. I look forward to it every week and Sarai and Haley provide really insightful and USEFUL tips and advice for not only sewing but for learning and cultivating your own style. I can see how their advice has helped me on my journey and I’m finally starting to feel confident about what I want to wear and make for myself. Thank you so much, you’ve helped me a lot ❤️

Aldia1234567So Supportive!I cannot say enough about the support that the sewists at Seamwork provides. My sewing would not have progressed to the place I am at this year as a beginner sewist. The Seamwork community, their YouTube videos and this podcast has provided me with everything I need! I finished my first unlined wool jacket with Hong Kong seams and I am so proud of the accomplishment!

So many craftsCrafty friends and a warm mugListening to this show is like hanging out with one of my craft buddies with a mug of tea, a handwork project, and some good chat. So delightful! I look forward to the new episode each week since I binged most of the old episodes over the summer. I saw a review of the Seamwork service on YouTube, found out they had a podcast, and I think I signed up after the first couple of “Summer Camp” episodes that I heard. It’s been a lovely journey in the last few months into learning my style, learning to sew more real-world garments (as opposed to costumes or quilts), and putting some intention into what I wear. I also love that they embrace the “adjacent” crafts! I am quite the dabbler, and I’ve gotten some fun ideas from recent episodes.
-
lolajettGood storiesGood stories and genuine conversation and interviews. Could do with less use of “like” and sometimes it’s hard to listen because of that. I find myself counting the “likes” as they pile up in a single sentence.
-
TetedanmarAlways sewingLove the content and the way it is presented. Always learn something and I enjoy the lovely hosts and their respectful dialogue with each other. Thank you so very much for your efforts. I am truly grateful!
-
Knittygrrl17I like it!I discovered you about 3 months ago and I’ve been “binge-listening” ever since. I prefer the tips episodes over the interviews. I’m a “confident beginner” sewist, and the only person I know IRL who sews clothes, so you have helped me on my journey so far. Great listening WHILE I sew! ☺️

Mljohnson1123Great tips and suggestionsI have enjoyed listening to seamwork radio. I find the voices of Haley and Sari easy to listen to. Some podcast can be a little too exciting and loud. But I enjoyed the comfortable laidback feeling I get when listening to these two. Makes me feel like I’m in their in person circle listening to them. I appreciate all the specific project suggestions given to help a sewer learn new skills. I have a seamwork membership and have made a lot of projects. I joined in February and have been sewing 2-3 projects a month. Seamwork community is super helpful and has many resources to help you if you get stuck. I enjoy posting my projects online and getting feedback to improve a project or how I could have altered something. It has been one of the best memberships I’ve ever bought.

camay1973Bing worthy podcast, love it and the hosts 😊I just discovered this podcast on the long weekend of July 4th. Luckily I had 4 days off because I have been binging old episodes all weekend! This podcast isn’t just for those that sew garments. I am a quilter (the only garment sewing I have done is patching jeans) and have found all of the episodes helpful and informative. I really liked the series on creating, organizing and cleaning your sewing space as well as those with tips on buying fabric, notions and tools. Those ideas apply to all types of sewing. The hosts interact well with each other and their guests, are fun to listen to, yet still maintain a professional presence. They express their thoughts well. Some hosts sat they “love” something but don’t tell you why…these ladies elaborate and give you the reasons why. Maybe I’ll gain the confidence to sew a garment by listening to your podcast or watching your YouTube videos. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas with all of us.💕

Just MelanieA great show!Just listened to the last sewing camp podcast and figured out how to leave a review. I’ve been listening to your podcasts since January after becoming a Seamwork member in December. Just wanted to share that I love the podcast and the Seamwork community. Your voices are so calm and soothing and it feels like my day slows down a little as I take you guys to my sewing room and listen while I sew or work on reorganizing my sewing space. Love the sewing camp and design your wardrobe series. If you are interested in sewing or are a sewist (beginner or experienced), the guidance in this show and on the website are invaluable. You get to experience the highs and lows of sewing projects (“the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat”) with other sewists as we all learn to get better at what we love.

KT quilts and sewsComforting and informativeI have now listened to one hundred episodes so it was time to figure out how to write a review. These shows have been so comforting to me. Important for a school psychologist and a great escape. Haley and Sarai chat with good humor and allow their audience to get to know them. That’s fun. They actually educate too in the most pleasant way about lots of different aspects of sewing including the mental components. I’m actually a member of Seamwork but have been so busy at work I have hardly tapped into a fraction of the benefits. Just learned on a recent podcast that they have discount codes for lots of fabric stores. The one time I used the community and asked about sewing tables lots of folks jumped into the discussion, even with pictures to help me out. Thank you for all your information and for being your shining selves on this podcast. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Amy05225Loving Summer Camp! This Summer Camp series is so fun and giving me a LOT to think about! I always appreciate how insightful and kind you two are in how you deliver your messages. ❤️ I am a beginner, making my way through your Learn to Sew course (which I LOVE btw). Each week your podcast reminds me how much I love my new hobby and how thankful I am that I found this wonderful podcast and community. Thank you!

CassMck23Love itThis podcast is my favorite listen while walking in the woods or sewing in my studio. It makes me nostalgic for “walk and talks” with my crafty bestie who moved away. Great production, interesting topics, and inclusive values. I love Seamwork!
-
Oakland92Great show, BUTLove the content and the hosts are very knowledgeable BUT after a while listening to nearly every sentence being punctuated with “um hum” becomes terribly annoying.
-
jonasbroluvr15Inspiring to hear!So well done and said. The addition of couture finishes on even a simple garment can give you the pleasure of time and space to savor your sewing time and extraordinary detail in your finished garment. It is never wasted. I did this once many years ago and the result was so very worth it. I learned so much. I’m ready to try it again soon.
-
DrawsawMy new addictionLove the supportive atmosphere and helpful info for sewing enthusiasts. Worthwhile for beginners and experts alike. Inspiring and thoughtful!
-
SarahJC2023Excellent podcast!I love this podcast. It’s the perfect thing to listen to while sewing, or while I’m thinking about sewing but unable to sew, or when I’ve lost my sewjo and need a burst of inspiration. Sarai and Haley are always so thoughtful and intentional in the way they speak about making and I love the inclusive culture they’ve built here (and at Seamwork).
-
Siah12Like chatting with a group of sewing buddies!Thank you so much for doing this podcast! I have a bit of a dilemma every time I listen in because I feel so much like I’m sitting with some good sewing friends getting a chance to geek out on a shared passion only I don’t get to add any input! 😆 It’s really enjoyable to listen in to your conversations on all things sewing. Thank you!
-
MissMischellInspirationalI am so glad to have found such an awesome podcast. I listen to Sarai and Haley as I work out and walk on the treadmill at the gym. I picture what they are discussing and after my workout their show notes contain all the links and annotations from the podcast and I can follow up easily on what I heard. I’ve learned so much and because of the podcast I was inspired to join Seamwork and I took their beginner sewing class. I’m an actual sewist now!
-
SewnotsogoodSeamwork radioI love this podcast. It’s my last thing of the day, chill out me time.!

AmandaFrayerTwo thimbles upThis podcast is bursting with great ideas and fun stories. I went back and listened to them all! I am an Advanced beginner and have learned so much listening to Sarai and Haley. I’m also enjoying the Design Your Wardrobe series. Thanks so much for all the things!!!!
-
PamK13Inspiring podcastI initially did not like this podcast. That’s because I was assuming it would explain very technical sewing processes. Why I thought a verbal tutorial without demonstrations and photos would be useful, is beyond me. (Don’t worry, I found the Seamwork YouTube channel!) I kept listening to the podcast because I quickly learned it is about so much more than sewing. It has prompted me to think about the craft in a bigger picture and how it fits in my life. This podcast has broadened my view in so many ways and I find myself eagerly awaiting new episodes. Thank you for an excellent podcast!
-

Lori in MinnesotaSee appreciative!Thank you for all the work you do to always present a podcast that is organized, educational & interesting. You put a lot of work into your podcast and it shows! It helps that you both seem so kind, fun & approachable. I’m a quilter and you talk of many things that I can relate to my quilting. But even when you are specifically speaking of garment making I still find what you say interesting. I enjoy listening to your podcast. A sincere thank you from me! And I really enjoy the ice breakers too!
