This was once a 5 star podcast for me. Karalis is usually on top of things and he provides more content than other options. Read his articles at Boston Sports Journal or listen to this Locked On podcast daily plus the occasional bonus weekend pods for the playoffs, etc. Unfortunately, Locked On runs too many ads. The ads and long intro are both excessive. I find myself fast forwarding almost 30% of each episode. Some of his takes are getting stale too.

Disappointing podcast for Celtics fans. Recommend First to the Floor and Garden Report podcasts for a good analysis of games and team dynamics.

When you, and Jay King were talking about making up for Smart’s passing neither mentioned Brogdon. He’s a very good passer…and can handle the point guard position as he showed when on the Pacers.

Karalis is the single best source for Celtics news. He doesn’t exaggerate, doesn’t make things up to generate interest, just reports on the Celtics the way we all wish everyone else would. It is completely your own fault if you continue to listen to morons on the radio who literally don’t watch Celtic’s games. There is a reliable, trustworthy source for Celtics content and it is this podcast. Factually accurate, insightful and fun reporting. Thanks Karalis it’s genuinely appreciated

Then this podcast has you covered. He's got a book, he's a local, & he's going to smother you with ads! 10 minutes of content, 20 minutes of ads. There are much better pods with less advertising.

So easy to take the daily aspect for granted, but very grateful to have John providing consistent, thoughtful opinions and news on the Cs. Much love from NC.

Why is the podcast st such a high speed I can’t understand what John is saying at times because he is talking so fast!

(I think I wrote this review a feed seasons ago, but despite the change in personnel, it is all still true!) What a great niche podcast, insightful analysis from a critical fan's perspective. John, Jay and Sam are true students of the game and fans of the Celtics, and share their thoughts 5 days a week. With their access to the team and varied guests from other "locked on" podcasts, they are as perfectly positioned as Kelly Olynyk to bring us the best Celtics news every day! Keep up the great work!!

Host focuses on game and details that impact the final score. Also follows Celtic players performance and improvements. Best NBA coverage.

Great show - clear these guys know basketball and love their Celts. Authentic and fun to listen to - Demetri brings a great informed fan’s perspective.

How are these maroons possibly hosting a podcast without the most basic element of HAVING INTELLIGIBLE AUDIO‽ I’m trying to enjoy my drive and get ready for the Finals and these idiots ruined my trip with their constant dropouts and volume issues. Making sure the audio is right is literally the one and only technical consideration when making a podcast. I thought Locked On was some hot-shot outfit but clearly they are in fact some hairless monkeys doing their best in between sessions of smearing excrement on themselves and others.

If you’re a Celtics fan you need to be listening to this podcast! John’s insight makes you a smarter fan and elevates your understanding of how basketball is played at the highest level.

Love the Celtics. Love the takes. Love the energy.

Great show. John is entertaining and thorough.

John knows basketball, but that’s where the value of his podcast ends. I used to listen daily, but I had to stop. John consistently defends or excuses players for poor play. He defends referees for failing to make a call or making bad calls. Aside from the fact that his podcast is littered with 3+ minute advertisements, it’s really just not that good if you are looking for stimulating content or perspective. The Winning Plays podcast isn’t a daily podcast, but is much better overall. John, I really tried to stick with you. I even played another episode recently just to see if the rhetoric has changed, but it hasn’t, and I’m done.

You couldn’t pay me to stop listening to this show. Insightful as it gets.

Update aug 2021 Your interview with Keith Smith was fantastic. You both were great together. Please do more in the future. So freaking good guys! Super informative…Honest, fact driven and real basketball talk here. This is far and away the best Celtics podcast I have heard ever. I’ve listen to all of them and enjoy many of them but this undoubtedly unpacks all elements of the game and behind the scenes with the team in a true authentic manner. If I could give this more than five stars I would it’s an outstanding podcast and any true Celtics fan needs to listen to this. The amount of work and effort that goes into doing multiple podcasts a week is truly admirable and greatly appreciated. Keep up the hard work and thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Stop talking about covid period

Sound advice to all below average league shooters if they want to hurt their team more but make their numbers look better. Can’t wait until the next podcast.

If Andrew Wiggins can bounce back, why can’t jabari. Injuries have plague him most of his career, the talent is still there.

John Karalis is the best! He always offers prepared, thought provoking, and positive analysis as well as analytical counterpoint to many negative podcasts. This has been a difficult time for a Celtics. John encourages the listeners to be patient as we are now starting to show the grit and determination that we are famous for. Keep up the great work. I never miss a podcast. It is a touch of home since I live in Houston. One last thing...buy his book. It is a fun and informative read. I read it in two days!

This podcast would really benefit from a cohost. The info and analysis are great. Just comes across a bit like I’m being lectured at.

This podcast is fantastic, hands down. I started listening when the Celtics were in the Bubble last season and I’ve been listening every week since then. John Karalis, the host of this podcast, is very knowledgeable about basketball and clearly loves following the Celtics. He’s active with his followers on Twitter and the addition of the Locker Room app sessions is a great way to talk with other Celtics fans - on top of being able to talk to John one-on-one. Listening to this podcast is something I honestly look forward to. It’s the number one Celtics podcast for a reason.
