After searching the internet for different viewpoints on certain topics in the Bible I landed on an interview with Sean Finnegan. From there I checked out the website and podcast and can honestly say it’s amazing. God has used Sean and his team to bring clarity to the word of God in a world where solid teaching is not usually sought or found. Thanks again for all you do. I am really enjoying the Corinthians series. One God Over All is also a must listen/watch.

It would take paragraphs to describe how helpful and informative this podcast is to understanding the Bible. I used to read the Bible and it went in and out, and I did not retain any of it or understand any of it. This podcast takes the time to explain the Bible word for word And it’s funny and enjoyable, and I always remember what I was taught because they make it so clear and fun and use a lot of stories and analogies. Anyone who is stuck reading God‘s word can become extremely well-versed by doing the sessions presented, and there are hundreds of them - plus FREE classes. No one asks you to join any kind of membership or organization. Where else do you get free? Anything from a church?

Absolutely my favorite podcast. Sean, with help of others, discusses or teaches about many different topics. Everything from apologetics (you have to with a Christ centered podcast) to aliens (Yep!). An in depth class of science and the Bible. Including three lessons dedicated to evolution just to make sure that everything is presented as accurately as possible. This podcast is full of historical references to provide context instead of just quoting a church mission statement. TLDR: Variety. Give it a listen.

This podcast has everything from entire classes and interviews, to sermons, debates, and scholarly presentations. Whether you are a new Christian, or have been a disciple of Christ for years, I would recommend this podcast to anyone. All episodes of this podcasts are informative and entertaining! It would take me hours to share all I’ve learned in this podcast. Overall this podcast is definitely worth the listen. Thank you Sean for consistently making amazing episodes for over a decade!

Just came across this podcast. The episode on Origen was excellent. Can’t wait to listen to more.

I was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was always taught to examine and study the scriptures. I first started listening to Restitutio to get a better grasp on early church history so that I could see what the 1st Century Christians really believed. After listening to hundreds of episodes, I have learned so much about the development of “orthodox” doctrine, Bible manuscripts and translation, reading the Bible in context, Hebrew, Greek and much more. I reached a point in my life where I wanted to put my own faith to the test, outside of what JW.org says, and much of what I have learned has reaffirmed my beliefs on matters such as the Trinity, hellfire, conditional immortality, etc. I know I differ from Biblical Unitarians on some beliefs but I feel like we align on much more than we disagree on. Sean has also always been very fair with his opinions of the NWT, which I appreciate. I know JWs get a bad rap for being a cult or high control group, but I just want to say that this was never my experience. Like most religions there are some people who are more rigid than others. My parents were always very liberal. I want to thank Sean and Restitutio for giving me a first class education on how to defend my own faith. I’d also love to know why Sean has never taken part in a debate? I feel like his knowledge and communication style would be perfect for it. Thanks! -Mike M.

This Podcasts “Read the Bible for Yourself” series is for anyone who wants a greater knowledge of the different genres of Biblical literature, (Law, Psalms, Prophesy Proverbs) usually within only an hour’s length. By doing this, a dedicated person is equipped to read a thousands- of- years old book without misinterpreting it. Just finished listening to the episode on bias in translations. Sean does a great job of presenting complex history and content in a clear and concise manner.

When I started to realize that I was seeing the Bible through colored lenses, and that I was believing a lot of stuff that was not even in between the lines of the Bible, I went searching for truth. It seemed like even though I took my colored lenses off, I still couldn’t see the Bible clearly enough. It took me months, but someone from higher ground church recommended this podcast, and it had been the best set of clear lenses ever! Sean has helped put a lot of stuff in clear perspective for me, and that is worth more than I can say. Keep up the amazing work! I hope we can meet sooner than later.

I would highly recommend to any Christian to listen to Sean’s classes. He delivers them so well, being a not so educated country boy it is hard for me to stay focused while listening to biblical studies but Sean’s delivery and passion makes it easy for anyone to understand these subjects.

What a great podcast. This podcast delves deep into many concepts that we as Christians often question or wonder or simply just need more clarification on. Even the topics that are hard to talk about are addressed here because like Sean says “the truth has nothing to fear”. Why put limitations or boundaries on your faith. It’s healthy to seek answers and to have questions. Why not do everything we can to learn as much as we can about God and his son Jesus Christ. Amen!

Most professed Christians have not thought about the trinity, or Jesus as “a man attested by god.” This show is Theology from people trying to put biblical ethics into practice. Well done.

I really enjoy these podcasts. Sean is such a great teacher but welcomes discussion & other viewpoints. However, he always goes back to the scriptures to reveal the truth.

The Restitutio podcast covers a broad range of biblical and cultural topics. The host is intelligent, has a sharp wit and a good sense of humor. I have recommended the podcast to other adult family and friends - they enjoy it as well. I even got my 15-year-old son interested in a recent podcast. He was listening attentively!

I love this podcast. Sean and his team do a terrific job with lively discussions. There is a great balance of theological material and practical life applications to better live out our faith. I live in an area with very few Biblical Unitarians to fellowship with, so I always appreciate the content I can find here. No matter what your theological leanings are, this is a great listen. Restitutio is an excellent podcast that emphasizes the importance of getting back to the original faith of the good news of the Kingdom of God and his messiah Jesus as understood by our first century brothers and sisters.

I have really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I find the variety and topics of conversation covered in the off script and interview categories both stimulating and thought provoking. In the classes category Seans knowledge of Christian History adds a new perspective to understanding the scriptures in light of their cultural times. This podcast treats the scriptures with the respect they deserve as God's word and understands it's main theme of the Kingdom of God.

If you are looking for a faith-based podcast that is not afraid to look deeper and follow biblical truth wherever it may go, then this program is for you. It’s creator, Sean Finnegan, does an excellent job seeking out issues that are both relevant and pressing to the 21st century Christian. No topic is taboo. The discussions here prove Scripture is ready to be tested and can in fact hold up to scrutiny.

Love the work Sean is doing for the Kingdom of God. After I decided to read my bible from start to finish, I began to realize so much of what I've been taught be other people about the Bible was in error. I've since been on a journey to discover authentic Christianity the way Jesus and the apostles would have understood it....this podcast and Sean's work have been instrumental in that.
