1/5 of my way through my first episode (American whimsigothic) and I'm already deeply hooked.

Paige, I am so sad to hear that you are closing this chapter in your life because I love your podcast. It has always been such a cozy and comforting listen for me, especially at times when I was feeling very down and alone. This podcast was truly unique and and treat to listen to and be able to get to know you. I know you will bounce back from your current challenges stronger and better than ever. I’ll be waiting here for when you do! Much love!

So she has a group only for women of a certain size but also is against covens determining who should be allowed (I.e. women who were born women). She loves the history of Wicca but is offended if it doesn’t include the 90s because that’s the era most meaningful to her. We are self involved; it’s not a huge deal. But the self-righteous woke Karen vibe (i.e. I will judge you for not being woke/ witchy/ fat/ feminist enough)makes this feel a little preachy. And I’m no trump fan, but the “let’s hex people we don’t like” is just out of sync with: do no harm. All in all, for me great podcasts require either a little self awareness or a yin to the yang - this podcast has neither. If you agree with her in her approach to life, as many reviewers do, you may find this to be the very echo chamber you are looking for.

I found this podcast through her book “Green Witchcraft a practical guide to discovering the magic of plants, herbs, crystals, and beyond” which was a very good book.

I have looked for podcasts about witchcraft and spirituality and have found it about as difficult as looking for podcasts on any other topic. Is the host smart, authentic and real? Do I like to listen to them talk or does it sound like jibber jabber and ego? Am I getting real information that I can use? Paige’s podcast hits the sweet spot for me. She is so real and full of insights and knowledge. She is someone I can learn from and relate to. I have enjoyed several of her book recommendations and I feel like she’s a (younger) sister just giving awesome advice. And I was inspired to sign up for my first Patreon membership! Her episodes are so rich with information that I wanted the notes. I especially want to thank Paige for being open about her mental/emotional struggles and talking about what has helped her (and of course there’s her book about it!) because this is the exact thing that has drawn me back to witchcraft. Thank you for so bravely and kindly putting it out there for us, Paige!

Thank you. This is so amazing. I have a nagging tug happening and I knew it was a deity but no idea who it was. I was obsessed as a child with the Greek pantheon but no urge to seek out anyone. I am mostly Irish but NO. I looked into the Baltic pantheon yesterday. My paternal grandmother was Lithuanian. It was interesting and I was going to continue my research. Now... just catching up on some Podcasts and out of your mouth comes the most amazing words. I could see everything in my minds eye and feel all the details as they moved through and I feel joy. I’ve been practicing for five years and I still feel like I walk away from each episode with more knowledge than I started with. Paige is interesting, fun to listen to, and super progressive. It’s nice to have such a strongly feminist message while still creating an inclusive and informative environment in each episode. Overall, I absolutely LOVE this podcast and I recommend it to anyone who’s willing to listen, even if they aren’t a witch or pagan at all. Either way, you won’t regret it! P.S. for all the negative reviews from salty trump supporters- you can’t be a witch without being political & no one cares about your entitlement.

Paige is wonderful and I have found a lot of useful information in these episodes. Since a couple months ago something has been happening with the editing of this podcast where the chunks that would usually be edited out (pauses, breaks to cough or sneeze) are left in and it can be really jarring! I think she may not be aware of this, like I said I love the content very much!

I love this podcast. As a fat feminist who has always been interested in witchcraft I’ve been enjoying this podcast a lot! I saw a review about her talking about her politics views, but she literally says in the first podcast this is about her journey as a fat FEMINIST witch, so I’m not sure what folks expected?!? It’s not just a podcast about witchcraft, which is why I love it so much!

I have been listening to Fat Feminist Witch for about a year now. I love Paige’s enthusiasm and candor. She provides excellent information in a non-fussy way. I am ecstatic that Paige is brave enough to touch on thorny, controversial topics. For example, she mentions hexing dangerous politicians. Paige is fantastic—she brings so much practical insight and connection. This podcast is a lifeline. To the reviewer who didn’t like the fact that Paige spoke out against our misogynistic president: Did you not look at the title of the podcast before listening?? In today’s world, supporting women is a political act, so we have no choice but to “talk politics” if we’re going to be engaged feminists.

I have only recently started listening to your podcast and was fine until you asked to bring back the curse against your President of the United States. I was shocked to hear this, I get we all have sides but I don’t listen to a podcast about witches to hear politics. Then you brought in the cops, I will not be listening to any further episodes. This podcast is so wonderful! Informative, fun, and such a joy to listen to. If you’re interested in anything witchy, or spiritual, or just curious, this is a great podcast for a multitude of reasons.

I am a new listener. I really found a place to connect outside of all the drama of the outside world. I was happy and content. Until today. I was listening to Baneful Bitchcraft and found a different perspective. Then Paige said something along the lines of cursing Trump since he is a bad person. And there it was. Political stance. It’s her podcast so she can say what she wants, I get it. She has a side and I have a side. No big whoop. But they she goes on and talks about bad cops, and hexes and such don’t cover all bad cops. I continued to listen hoping she’s use the perspective of the people looting and rioting and how their actions were bad. How poor black business owners were being looted and robbed. But no. Keep personal politics out of a podcast about witches.

I felt compelled to just shoot you a message and say thank you for your podcast! I found it last year and through all of the chaos of 2020, I fell away from my practice. I’ve been feeling so angry and lost lately and then suddenly I put on one of your old episodes and felt SO hopeful again. Your podcast brings me so much joy and calm and it’s really helped me to refocus (even just a small bit of energy) on reintegrating my practice into my daily life. I love the blend of authentic emotions - raging against the BS patriarchal system and joy in gorgeous nature, which include crystals, plants, and pet friends. Paige researches in depth and presents thoughtfully. And at the same time there are moments of a chatty, open energy. Everything is seeped in Feminist praxis. This is a good place to be magickal in this era of change. It’s not always easy out there; nevertheless, this feels like a brave space to party on, witches.

I just started listening to your podcast today, as a baby witch just listening to you talk about witchcraft in such a beautiful way makes me want to focus and practice witchcraft even more. It truly is inspiring, Thank you :)🖤

I’m a newbie witch, but listening to podcasts, specifically this podcast, has helped me in my journey. I appreciate hearing another witch with a healthy level of skepticism, as well as one that I can identify with in other areas of life (I’m also fat, also a feminist). I like that she covers a wide range of topics, and does quite a bit of research to back up what she talks about. Overall, Paige is very engaging and a joy to listen to; her voice just feels friendly to me.

Hi! Enjoy the podcast a lot, very informational. For example, the episodes on Tarot go through the whole history of Tarot, what each symbol means, and how you use them. And then it offers info if you want to learn more. Same with crystals! However, this attention to detail is not given to astrology. I don’t want this to become a horoscope podcast or anything, but a couple informational episodes would be super helpful. She’s done one on Mercury retrograde and another on the Saturn return (very enjoyable) but for someone who doesn’t even understand what the Houses are or why they’re important (even after some online research), it’s super confusing! A reference episode on this topic with sources, like the ones for tarot and crystals, would be much appreciated

I love this podcast and have listened to every episode. Paige is funny and relatable and I appreciate her honesty in all things. I really only have one problem and that’s the fact that she sometimes talks about houdoo and conjure work as something she’s incorporated into her personal practice which is always difficult for me to stomach when she brings it up seeing as she’s white. Witchcraft and new age circles have a long history of appropriation and it’s sad to see it here with a host that seems dedicated to trying to fight the good fight. I would love to see her host a black witch for an interview addressing the appropriation of black magickical practices especially now that they’re becoming more popular online and so accessible to people that aren’t a part of the black community.
