    These guys know their stuff!
New to the podcast world, but Mike and Bob really changed that for me! These guys know what they are talking about and know how to make things understandable for the average firefighter.

    Great Stuff
So I have been involved with the hazmat team for the past 13 years, as a firefighter, engineer and relief officer. I have recently been assigned to a permanent company that is not hazmat related. Which means I had to interview to be able to get back into the hazmat community. So in turn I needed to freshen up on my technical knowledge, so I started off going through the metering podcasts and moved into the new guys check offs. Both have provided great resources and sparked several training ideas, once placed at this new assignment. Since then I have continued going through the podcast on the periodic table and moving into decon, since the company I will be going to is responsible for the decon element of our deployment resources. Thank you for the great information keep up the good work and stay safe! V. Wolfe Charlotte NC Fire Dept

    Mercury
Sitting here listening to podcasts while recovering from eye surgery. As a small but reasonably well trained regional team Columbia/ Greene counties in NYS I find we tend to drill on incidents that while not out of the question probably won’t happen here. I found your podcast on mercury very informative. Thanks for doing them especially in layman’s terms.

    Great refresher material
Just started listening to this. Great info. Started at episode 1 and working my way up. Like the way you put things in simple terms. I took HM Tech about 12 yrs ago and this is a good refresher for what I have forgotten.

    Invaluable info
These podcasts are great! The “Hazmat Guys” have an uncanny ability to take complex incidents and information and simplify it for all of us to understand and relate to. This is a must listen for any and all hazmat responders

    Very educational
I started listening to these guys a few years ago, almost from their beginning. Each episode helps me to be a better hazmat tech. I recommend this podcast to all the members of my team. The guys help explain everything from complex chemicals to your basic natural gas response. Keep up the good work fellows.

    Subject Matter Experts
I stumbled upon The HazMat Guys Podcast this week after seeing a facebook post from the Massachusetts HazMat conference. I’ve been listening to past episodes and I feel like I’ve gotten a much better understanding of a lot of concepts I didn’t quite understand before and some really excellent tradecraft tips. This show is an absolute must listen for all techs and teams.

    Street Level Information
You could take 10 years of classes and still not get everything these two jack wagons deliver. Up-to-date information you can take straight to work. The podcast are even better than going to a class or conference because you can listen again, again, and again. (As long as you can tolerate them). From the basics, the in-depth, and top notch interviews, these two knuckleheads are the bees knees. Hell of a resource. Next to air monitoring and Level A’s, these canaries should be in your toolbox.

    Great voice for the industry
These guys do a fantastic job trying to get to the core of issues that impact the HAZMAT community. They research & find experts from across the industry to deliver great podcasts on relevant topics. What else can you ask for?

    Why I Listen
I teach the ChemPro, both how it works and how to use it. By following this podcast, I often get a better idea of the ways it can be used and that helps my training.

    Great podcast
I just started listening to this podcast after seeing it mentioned on the haztac instagram page. So far it's the only fire related podcast that has managed to be informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work and thanks for the lessons!

    Awesome Podcast
I'm a Firefighter, Hazmat Tech and Instructor in Texas. I listen to these guys on the way into the firehouse or even working out sometimes. Very educational and they definitely have helped me in their lecture style learn how to make the academy lectures more fun for the recruits when we're doing hazmat.

These guys are awesome and it’s what the community has needed for a long time. Bob and Mike take the topics, make them fun and make them real. Keep it going so that others can get more “in” to the job!!!

    Dropping science
I've been a hazmat specialist in California for over ten years. These guys bring great knowledge and experience and help learn or review in ways that firefighters get. Like 3 other NY guys once said, "dropping science like Galileo dropped the orange". Keep up the stellar work brothers!

    New Hazmat Team Tech
I'm a newly appointed HazMat tech in Massachusetts on the District 2 Team, which is Metro-Boston. As you know we have 6 districts (from your Dave D interview). I've been listening to them and some twice every time I'm in my truck and it's been very informative. I attended the Massachusetts HazMat program at the state academy about 6 years ago. This a 305 hour tech program, and I'm still learning. It's a very intimidating field, but your podcasts are definitely giving me help; which is very well appreciated. Thank you and stay safe. Well done!
I've been looking for an all-Hazmat podcast for a while, and this fits the bill. I especially liked one of your most recent episodes, where you interviewed the Director of Mass Hazmat Dave DeGregorio. That was enlightening. I would encourage more interviews with industry leaders and definitely some case studies. I've not had the chance to catch up on all episodes, but I'm on the way! Seriously, you guys are doing the world of Hazmat respose right - passing on knowledge. All levels of experience should listen from time to time. These are great reviews and great eye-operners, and I feel that this is one more way to immerse myself in the world of hazardous materials, which I love so much. Thank you, and keep up the strong work! S. Shaw, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Hazmat Coordinator

    Outstanding Hazmat Discussion/Review
Love the show, it has helped to bring up some principles that have been lost since training. Keep up the good work and love listening.

    Thank You
Thank you for making it my job a little easier to do. I feel a lot more comfortable and confident in my duties as a (somewhat) Hazmat Specialist. I enjoy the conversations you guys have at the beginning of each Podcast. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping it simple.

Being a rookie HazMat Tech of 3 months, I'm always looking forward to learning something every episode. My tech level instructor introduced the class to the podcast and we weren't disappointed. Doesn't matter if you're specialist level or rookie, you can catch onto the topics and conversations. Plus, the Yankee accents kinda break up the monotony of the "y'all" southern accents my instructors have. Ha!

Awesome job aid & refresher. Bonuses the notes of the show are available! They actually make hazmat interesting and don't put me to sleep! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good podcast for any first responder
The hosts are veteran NY fire service members that do a good job covering the topic, while being pretty entertaining.

    Well worth the time
Very well presented material in a snack bite format.Well worth the time at twice the price. Short enough to play over and really sink in. The first April podcast was over the top! Almost crashed from laughing so hard. Could only give 5 stars as there is no category for bleeping awesome.

Awesome work by the hazmat guys! As a twenty five year member of a hazmat team I applaud your commitment to our profession.

    Tremendous learning abilities
I started listening to the HazMat guys about 2 weeks ago. I've binged on their podcasts since the I listened to the first. I'm a firefighter/rescue tech in NJ and work with Specialists on our towns specialized rescue/hazmat team and have always wanted to get my tech. The knowledge and information, even useful to ops level responder, is tremendous and every firefighter should know. I'm convinced now to upgrade to my Tech and am signed up for the HazMat Tech course down at the Center for Domestic Preparedness because of the ever growing and evolving field that is hazmat from listening to these extremely intellectual guys on their subject. You can tell they love the job and their saying is true, even for volunteers. "Don't just get on the job, get into the job".
  • Shark2k1
    Great Info
I absolutely love listening to these guys. Not only do they cover relevant topics, but they're also entertaining to listen to.

    Spreading the word...
As a HAZMT Tech with GFD, Ct. these podcasts are an excellent way to cap off the endless refreshing required. Bob and Mike present the topics in layman’s terms, no holds barred, demonstrating facts and dispelling myths with a common sense approach. I’ve been saying for years that there is no need to panic. Great Resource!
This podcast is incredibly useful, because those who produce and contribute the content are knowledgeable and experienced. Some first responder podcasts are dangerous because they unintentionally promote unsafe practices through their inclusion of unfounded opinions, errors, or missing pertinent details. This one, however, is fact-based and includes all necessary information, allowing the consumer to formulate their own well-founded opinions.

As an EMT working in a semi-rural EMS system, I bring what I learn from these podcasts with me to work every day. I love listening to these podcasts which are filled with great information that anyone in emergency response can use.

    Great Stuff
Great tricks of the trade and a great job explaining the trade. Listening to the interaction between Mike and Bob is like sitting at the firehouse kitchen table. These podcasts are filled with information I teach in my hazmat classes and things that I will be adding to my classes and hazmat responses.
  • Doublezedd
    Very Informative
As a civilian, it's always good (and a little comforting) to know the basics of spills and how these guys are handling it when we call them in. Plus it's never a bad thing to keep learning, and hazmat is fascinating to me.

    Excellent Content
Just wanted to take a minute and give the Hazmat Guys a 5 star review. It's awesome you guys take the time to share your knowledge. The episodes are filled with great information and it doesn't feel like a class lecture. Not everyone is so willing to sit down and speak about a topic like hazmat. Keep it coming.

Excellent resource - any level of training
I have listened to three podcasts, and recently watched two new episodes via Blab. The information is realistic, a safe environment to ask questions, and the the hosts have a wealth of knowledge. If you are in hazmat, any level, take the time to listen. You will not regret it.
