Listen if you want to be shamed
A few episodes in and the theme seems to be shaming rather than empowerment. Not just shaming surrounding your home and organization but body shaming, too. A direct quote from Rachel, “If you look around in McDonald’s people are usually not fit and healthy and they are making the time not to be healthy...” So she looks at people’s bodies and makes a judgment about who they are as a person? There are much more effective podcasts out there to help change your mindset about organization and living productively that aren’t based on judgment and shaming techniques.

    Great help!
Love this podcast. Very useful information. Is there a way to get the transcript of 8/11/19 podcast? I couldn’t understand most of the remote interview, and I can tell it was a great episode. Thanks!

I don’t understand the bad reviews...
This is a EXTREMELY helpful , motivating and compassionate podcast that isn’t necessarily geared for light disorganization. This is for moderate to chronic and even serious hoarders aka “collectors “. She is a professional who does not judge , she has seen it all. I am by no means a hoarder, but I have a problem with stuff EVERYWHERE. Clutter , clutter , clutter is my problem and I still prefer this podcast because I , unlike a few others who have commented on the way she delivers her lectures, find I connect better with her because she has seen the worst and knows how to make a person feel as though she “gets it”. She seems to have a sense as to the distractions that people with this problem have and speaks to the audience with that in mind . By that I mean she will keep the listener focused by reminding us to STAY FOCUSED and she also sets it up as if she is doing what she explains , right along with us . She has her bins and sorts her things with us. Her podcasts are short, to the point and are most beneficial to be listened to more then once ; more like twice or more.

can't hear her and thankful for that
The recording volume is so low, I had my computer speakers on 100% and iTunes full blast and I could not hear her more than 16 inches away. The volume goes up and down constantly like she is walking away from the microphone. The man "commercials" are irritating. Lastly, she makes me feel like I am being scolded by a kindergarten teacher. Sorry. Couln't even finish listening to the second episode.

Don't waste your time on this one.
A total waste of time. The only way I could see that this podcast would be inspirational is if someone threatened to keep playing it to you until you cleaned your house. The first episode is mainly her droning on and on about all her pets and repeating ad infinitum unnecessary info. Even at 1.5x speed I wanted to shout at her to get to the point already! I tried a couple of other of them briefly and they were similarly aggravating. I cannot imagine why this is getting 5 star reviews unless they are paid. I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a sharp pencil and listen to it.

    Helpful + Humorous
Rachel Seavey of Collector Care offers a mess of helpful hints. Plus, her sense of humor is greatly appreciated. Each podcast is full of bite-sized organizing tactics and methods which are easy to implement and help minimize feelings of overwhelm. Her maintenance tools are the perfect ‘booster’ for staying motivated too. I listen while doing the dishes, folding the laundry, walking the dog; it’s like having a friendly, personal coach whispering in my ear. Thank you for not making these too long Rachel! Keep them short + upbeat.

    Great Organizing Tools!
I think most people could use help organizing their "stuff"and lives, and Rachel is the perfect person for the job! I find Rachel's podcasts extremely helpful and enjoyable. Her organizing tips are so easy to implement and, perhaps even more important to me, to maintain. I especially liked the one dealing with mail, my Achilles heel. I also admire Rachel's love for her profession and empathy for the people she works with. I recommend the podcasts wholeheartedly!

    SO helpful!
I thought I was too busy to organize my house. Rachel’s podcasts helped me take small steps, one problem at a time, to clear my living space and maintain it going forward. What a difference! Now when my friends drop by we sit in a clear, calm space, and they have all commented on the change. I feel clearer in my heart, too. I love what Rachel says: Happiness is a place between too little and too much. So true.

    Great show!
I wouldn't say i'm a hoarder, but I definitely think I have hoarder tendencies.. As I find it hard to let go of certain things, even tho I never use them.. And for me, this podcast is great therapy. I love the idea of playing that Friend, acquaintance, stranger game.. I'm Going to give that a try.. I think u also made a great point about not worrying about what the donation Center people are thinking when you bring certain items or clothing, I think that is something that stops a lot of hoarders from donating and having that all important clear-out! Keep up the good work Rachel! I can't wait for the next episode!

Informative! Look Forward to Each New Episode
I am a professional organizer who does NOT work with hoarders or those that have extreme clutter and find this podcast very helpful. I have family that struggle with extreme clutter. Rachel’s organizing tips are easy to implement and I appreciate she is trained and certified to work with Hoarders. Her passion and compassion for working with those with extreme clutter is apparent as well. I look forward to each episode as there are take aways to support me in being a better organizer and that allow me to help my family.

    Hoardganize podcast
In Episode 3 Rachel gave suggestions on how to file. I have always started with big piles of papers and become frustrated. Her reasoning and tips made sense. I liked her friendly voice and will be listening to more of her podcasts.
