breezy00090Too many ads and every episode is the sameWay too many ads for episodes that are barely 30 minutes. Also all of the episodes are the same. They all blend together and it’s gotten old. Disappointed and moving on.

kkmn140Good but…I enjoy the content but the amount of ads detracts from this. Over 5 minutes of ads for a 20 minute podcast episode is a little much.

Sandy Williams, AuthorToo many ads to listenA few people I followed mentioned how much they love this podcast. The content looked interesting so I thought I’d give it a try. I haven’t made it through one full episode. I can ignore an ad or two in a podcast, but in the first nine minutes I listened, there were six ads!!! (Might have been eight ads because I think there was a block that had four instead of “just” two in it.) It’s disappointing because the subjects resonate with me, but I don’t know how people get through an episode. Maybe there’s a paid subscription without ads? Even if there is, I can’t listen to enough of an episode to decide if it would be worth it to pay (I like supporting creators). I’ve never listened to a podcast with this many ads before.

phishy88Dinner QueueThe idea of a dinner queue really saved my sanity. we started late summer and i made a calendar and gave the fam a menu with selected dinner queue items. It’s helped me plan, and grocery shop and keep peace and beat decision fatigue. Thank you for the suggestion!

Raquel WitmerMore ads than wordsI used to love this podcast, but recently, just so so so many ads. I listen to a ton of podcasts and this one beats it out of the park for the amount per episode. Makes a point- 2 ads-makes another point-more ads. I understand the need to make money,. I truly do.. but could we do all the ads at once? 🫶🏻🫶🏻

The NewoPainting v puzzlingLoved this episode and the metaphor of painting vs puzzling for your life. As a long time fan of Bob Ross, I was reminded (just when I needed to be of course), that there are no mistakes when painting, just happy little trees. Here to make some happy little trees.

Tan aubGood content, irritating adsI like the overall content of the show. I usually listen to podcasts while I do other activities (dog walks, household chores, etc.) and it’s not always convenient for me to skip ads. If I’m listening to a 24 minute episode (like I am now, episode 387), I don’t want to have to listen to 4 minutes of ads in the middle! The excessive ads make me less likely to add The Lazy Genius to my playlist.
-
GrrlMindsetWorth whileI love the tips, exercises, and principles! Especially “decide once”. I also enjoy how she shared her personal experience and brought her sister in on a few episodes. I recently went back and caught up on the first season and it’s another crazy election year so it fit right in!

erindrazinComfort showMy absolute favorite podcast and comfort show! I’ve been an avid podcast follower for 5 years now, and the lazy genius method has changed how I approach everything in my life! I’m a Mom to 3 tiny children, and this podcast has been a lifeline to me during the hardest, most enriching years of my life. When I feel overwhelmed, “Naming what matters” alone has saved me. Thanks for all you do, Kendra!

TabithaYogiIt doesn’t have to be hardKendra is your smart friend who helps you uncomplicate life while being kind to yourself. I always feel like a burden has been lifted when I listen to her podcast. Plus, I get some great tips!

jmd317A lot of ads and shoddy thinking to wade throughWhile Adachi does have some good ideas there are problems with this podcast. It is a LOT of ads. She has father wounds which makes her complain about “the patriarchy” in all kinds of illogical non sequitor ways. If you want to sift through the woke there are some things that are helpful but most are generalities.
-
Papabear05Boring and SadThis is a podcast for rich white woman only. I can see why Jenna and Angela love it so much. Normal everyday woman stay away. Zero stars.
-
elspeth_graceThis podcast changed my lifeI had heard of The Lazy Genius for years but I didn’t start listening to her podcast until 2023 and since then I have listened to almost of them all! I love her principles, the real life examples she gives and how she makes the concepts and hacks applicable to your life. I have learned to treat myself with kindness and calmness and find myself applying the Lazy Genius principles in my everyday life. I have read all of her books and she has changed the way I think and live my life. The best weekly podcast, i can’t wait for it every week!

M in FloridaMy Small Changes in 2024Loved the episode! My five year old can opener never worked. It was old, rusted and seldom opened a can. I bought a new expensive one that slides through the cans. What joy! Also, in 2024 I decided to cook a double batch each time I cook . So I cook every other day instead of every day.

delicatebluesShift in content since last book release.Big fan of the show typically for the content but she’s been on a bit of a soapbox lately and it’s making me pause my listening as I don’t really want to be preached to. Here for the practical tips

Tracy1748Took an unfortunate turnI loved this podcast, and would’ve rated it five stars, but it took an unfortunate turn. Kendra got political, and I don’t see any need for that. I respect her right to use her voice to influence her audience, but it affects my rating.
-
Ahop2PracticalHer advice is practical and kind. She always reminds you to be kind to yourself. There are a lot of toxic self help/productivity podcasts out there. This is not one of them. To me, this is a great podcast to listen to in small doses. I find myself taking a break but always coming back when I’m in the zone for this kind of advice.

digitalurn❤️Specific AudienceThis is for a very specific audience of middle/upper class middle age married white women with children. I wish this was explained in the description, so you can know up front to not waste your time.

MurphsanThe Lazy Genius is a game-changer!Practical tips and advice that make life simpler and more enjoyable by helping you be a genius about the things that matter and more relaxed about the things that don't matter as much. If you want to mebrace a balnced, lower stress approach to life, The Lasy Genius podcast is for you. Trust me - you'll love it!
-
LetTheSunshine_In32Not as much for me anymoreTo be real, she kinda stressed me out. I find I can’t listen as much anymore, as her super detailed lists make me feel like I should worry about things I wasn’t even worried about before. Sometimes there is a panicky tone to her voice. And a little condescending actually. Talking to us like we are in junior high learning life basics 101. 🫠

Fella annaEnjoyable Fun & Very HelpfulI love this podcast I’ve been listening to it for almost 2 years and is my go to podcast the content and advice has helped my mindset and I think about things in my life her stories are so funny and if you asked my who is the most experienced and prepared person I would say Kendra and what I would do to talk to her in person I think of her as my personal guide love her podcast forever and always
-
4AL4Funny and wiseKendra is whip smart about all things home, life, planning, organizing, parenting. But she delivers her advice in a light, never-condescending tone, with plenty of humor and REALness served alongside. Makes it very palatable and approachable. Super excited for her new book The Plan! Podcast is excellent, and so are her books.

Ent_barristerMore ads than actual contentFirst time trying to listen to this podcast and the ads felt longer than the actual content.

Minnesota OwlfaceKendra Kendra Kendra Kendra KendraIf I could have five people to dinner, I would want five Kendras. There are certain episodes I have listened to multiple times, and I hear her voice in my head nearly every day—I discovered her podcast and books about a year ago, and the timing couldn’t have been better. Life has thrown me nothing but curveballs in the last few years, but through God, pharmaceuticals, and Kendra Adachi, I’m gonna be okay!!

NatsuperstarA go-to of mine for YEARSI find myself constantly recommending The Lazy Genius to clients, friends, and family. I tend to binge episodes (even “played” oldies) when I’m needing encouragement and motivation finding a lot of comfort in this gentle yet practical approach. Her bright authenticity definitely shines through in each episode and you can’t help but root for Kendra as she navigates her real life challenges- - - which makes way to root for yourself as you get to do the same as a Lazy Genius!
-
AliMonster108😂I’ve been listening for some time, I read The Lazy Genius Kitchen, and I am eagerly awaiting The Plan, but I just listened to the latest episode What I Wish I Knew in my 20s and girl-I laughed out loud on my very public walk, multiple times. And I feel like Kendra would endorse such behavior! Thanks for this amazing podcast and for giving me not only helpful life advice but the confidence and wisdom to decide what’s best for me, in my season, with grace and kindness unto myself! It’s been immeasurably helpful, so thank you. You rock Kendra, carry on! -Ali

emilyjo2210My girlI don’t have an older sister, but in my mind Kendra is. She is the best big sis energy and I look forward to her podcasts every week. She always has great nuggets of wisdom and I love her outlook on the world. Thank you for all you do Kendra!
-
Amie-ShmamieJust the BestOne of the two podcasts I listen to without fail each week. (The other is Happier with Gretchen Rubin) Kendra is like a fun older sister who helps you keep perspective on life and who helps you keep your house clean(ish) and your avocados ripe. My favorite episodes are Don’t Throw the Baby and any of the pep talks. So much love for this podcast!

Penelope 31So glad I found this!Just about a month ago I found this podcast and now every spare second I get I’m listening to episodes and taking notes! So very helpful!
-
MKA1022out of touchI’m not sure what shifted, whether it was the “fame,” switching to this network, or what, but the episodes are increasingly out of touch and no longer as relatable as they used to be. The privilege is off-putting. Also, there are only so many things you can LG…getting a hairbrush to match your planter in your living room…to quote the middle school boys, “it’s not that deep.”
-
daniashrichAlways a good listenEven when I feel like an episode title won’t apply to me, I still walk away having learned something about myself and my priorities. Kendra is always balanced in her productivity and rest as she reminds us to move towards what matters to us. Love this pod!

abuviaLong-time listenerI am a long-time listener and I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this show; I’ve gotten a lot out of it over the years. The thing that finally pushed me to review was this week’s episode on to-do lists. I’m usually reasonably productive, but with a busy season approaching I had (inconveniently!) fallen into a productivity funk. I felt unable to move forward with two time-sensitive projects I was responsible for and it was really stressing me out. Then Kendra worked her lazy genius magic and calmly prompted me to recalibrate my approach to to-do lists. It was a small shift, but it made a world of difference. Glad to say I’ve made significant progress on both projects in the last two days since listening! More importantly, I’m feeling more clarity about what I need to do, more space to fit in things I enjoy, and far less anxiety. Thank you, Kendra!! I’m excited for your time-management book!
-
cmmcc21So many ads!I’ve listened for many years and have listened to the audiobooks by Kendra. I am finding it hard to listen to with so many ads now! For such short episodes, it feels heavy on ad content.
-
TgduckyI feel seenThis podcast has become my new favorite. I just finished reading The Lazy Genius Way and I want to be friends with Kendra. She’s kind and funny and has helped me connect to myself and the things that matter to me. My mornings with kids are calmer, my kids seem to have picked up on the fact that I’m no longer bent on so much control but prioritizing connecting with them. There’s so much more I could say but I will leave it at this: Thank You, Kendra, for sharing your gifts with the world. You have touched my life.
-
heureuse21Gives me what I needSomehow, Kendra knows what I’m needing. How does she do that? I love this podcast, I love her way of laying things out, I love her!

MD PugSaving my buns.I find this podcast very therapeutic. Kendra’s logical way of seeing the big picture is very helpful to me. Plus she’s pleasant to listen to and her quirks make me smile. When I’m tired of anxiety-inducing news or political podcasts, this is a tiny pleasure in my day.
-
isthisnameraken12Love love loveKendra is kind, helpful and genuine. I have never left a review before but want to encourage anyone (especially moms) to listen!

car0linemayIn my twenties and love this podcastI barely started listening and I really enjoy the host and her topics they’re all so insightful and HELPFUL! I didn’t think I’d like this podcast tbh but tried it bc Angela and Jenna and it’s great. I like that she does kid related questions at the end so childfree people like me can tap out then lol give it a try Y’all will enjoy it

JeynoiCould Not ConnectI heard of this podcast through listening to Office Ladies. I wanted to give it a fair shot and scrolled through dozens of episode titles trying to find an appealing episode to listen to. I struggled to find something interesting, finally settling on a cooking related episode and it was just a plug for her not-a-cookbook. Her speaking style is conversational to the point of filler. And then an ad plays. Just not the style of podcast for me.
-
Jules0414So helpfulLife changing advice for tackling life tasks - big and small. I love her systems thinking approach to advice. Thank you, Kendra!

L'il KimFinally understand football!I am 61 years old and never understood football. I just returned from Vegas where I attended my second Super Bowl game. I wanted to get the most out of the experience and found your podcast in my search to learn the game. I listened to it 4 times and it worked like a charm. The game is soooo much more fun when you have a clue as what’s going on. Thank you!
