    Breathe, just Breathe
Not to be a complete stalker but Bethany tweeted back at me once and I’m still over the moon. My best friend loves me! Now how to do I get Kathleen to do the same? Thank you for a the friendly advice you share the rest of the world (but should to be all about me🙄) I’ve loved you ladies from the beginning, don’t ever stop. Not even when you’re in your 90s and can’t remember what you just said. Edit edit edit. This is the best podcast ever!!! (I wrote the first half years ago and never posted. Now the podcast is over and I still look on my feed for a new episode. I miss them the most.😭)

    Mean
These girls are mean and caddy. If you’re looking for something sweet and easy; this isn’t it. I would avoid this Podcast at ALL costs just based on their terrible personalities.

    You should be proud ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bethany & Kathleen, As a Gentle Listener since day 1, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your banter, friendship, and the amusing & informative topics. I’ve cried a little and I’ve laughed - a lot! The past 7 years have been truly wonderful, and you should be so proud of the legacy you leave in us Taste Buds. Thank you for choosing to let us into your lives & entertain us all along the way. Your absence leaves some big shoes to fill - I haven’t connected to another podcast the way I did with An Acquired Taste. I wish you both the absolute very best of all life has to offer! And I have no doubt you’ll continue to do big, fun, AMAZING things!! Your bud, Ann from Iowa

The first podcast I ever listened to!
Bethany and Kathleen have such a special place in my heart. Acquired taste podcast is the first podcast I ever listened to. I already miss you both so much!

What was once my favorite now is terrible
A podcast littered with gigantic commercials, constant tangents, and leaves you with a very bitter aftertaste Plus the format changed so now there’s barely 15 minutes of content and the rest is an ad. Do not waste your money on these ads. Ridiculous. not worth it

    Thank for everything!
An Acquired Taste was one of my favorite podcasts that I look forward to listening to every Thursday. I loved listening to Bethany’s obscure topics and Kathleen’s trendy pop culture topics. MIt would’ve been amazing if AT would’ve reached 500 episodes and then gone out with a BOOM! But it is what it is. Thank you for bringing us joy and an escape from reality these past couple of years. I’m going to miss this podcast so much but I’m excited to see what you two are going to do on your own and see where life takes you!

Thank you for all you did for us!!!
Bethany and Kathleen. Thank you so much for creating a safe space for us tastebuds. For sharing your lives and helping us through mental health issues, showing us to be our true selves and reminding us that color is good and a deep breath. All my hugs to you both. Forever, your tastebud bunny.

    One of my favorites
We will miss you guys! Your podcast is the first podcast I ever listened to—and I was hooked! Thank you for creating this amazing corner of the podcasting world and internet. Wishing you both the absolute best because you deserve nothing less! Forever a Tastebud ❤️

    Thank you ladies!
Thank you for creating a safe place for us quirky, “weird,” and curious friends. When I turn on An Acquired Taste, I feel like I belong and I am seen. The ladies’ opposite personalities compliment each other so well and offer lots of laughs each episode. Bethany’s episode on para social relationships may say otherwise, but I truly feel like a third best friend in on their conversations and find myself laughing along and talking back when I listen. Although I’m sad the podcast will eventually be ending (even though I secretly hope it never does), I understand their decision and am proud of them for making decisions that are hard, but will be best for them in the long run. I have the utmost respect for these women and the effort, time, and emotions they have put into creating this podcast. B and K you are a bright spot in this world!

    Feels like home
This podcast makes me feel loved and seen and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for something better!

    Love wins!
I’ve listened from the very beginning and continued through all the changes and growth. These two women have a great friendship and have created a wonderful community. Their lives and careers are moving forward in the direction that they have been working towards and they are following their hearts. Though the podcast will eventually end, these women will be doing great things elsewhere and I will support them both however I can.

They feel like my best friends.
I found this podcast in the spring of 2020 and less than two years later I’ve listened to almost every episode. I’ve laughed, cried, celebrated and grieved with them so much that they feel like friends. These ladies are such a joy and their topics vary so much you don’t get bored. They’ve introduced me to a whole community with their fan group and I’m forever grateful for finding them. You can tell with their banter they truly love and respect each other as friends and co business owners, which sometimes gets lost over time in other podcasts. Thank you ladies for the glimpse into your lives! *UPDATE: They still feel like my best friends, and I respect their transparency regarding switching to shorter episode lengths. I will continue to love getting new episodes regardless of the format for as long as they make them. ♥️☺️

    Tastebud Forever
This podcast has been the background track to my life for the last 7 years. It has seen me through getting married, moving across the country, my dad dying, moving back home, getting divorced, going through a very bad relationship, becoming pregnant, birthing my son, and finding my soulmate despite it all. I love these women. I love the place they have created for so many of us. I am so so SO proud of them and all they have accomplished, created, and transformed into over these last 7 years. It’s been such a beautiful journey. This podcast will end, as they’ve announced. Formats have changed. But the safety, the love, and the space these lovely humans have made for us will be here forever. I’m so grateful to have experienced this journey alongside them and the amazing community of tastebuds that has been created through this podcast. I have so much love for them all. Thank you for the last 7 years and I wish you ladies nothing but luck and love in your journies moving forward. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️

Been listening for 4 years now-still love it!
TL;DR: best podcast everrrrrrrr 😆 So I’ll just start by saying I’m not a podcast listener, if I have time to listen to something I’m going to listen to music. But back in 2018 I had some things going on (too much to get into here) and needed something I could really focus on while driving. The first podcast I found was called “The Absolute Worst Podcast” and I gave it a try. Really, it was the big sparkly design in contrast to the name that made me give it a try. I listened for about 6 months and it got me through some hard times. Then, in Jan 2019 they announced they were done. DEVASTATED. No idea how I was going to manage to drive to work and home. We had a fan group on FB, and one of the members basically said, hey, I know the bodies aren’t even cold yet 😫😆 BUT we have another group for a different podcast if you wanna join and give that pod a listen. I was hesitant because really, listening to (then, 3) women talk isn’t normally my cup of tea, I thought AWP was just the exception. But I didn’t know what else to do, I NEEDED a podcast to listen to. I was immediately hooked. At that time they were almost 3 years in, I listened to a few current episodes and then started at the beginning. Over the years the pod (and the hosts) have went through many changes, from leaving the radio show that the pod was affiliated with and thinking they were going to lose it all, to one of the hosts leaving. Dealing with eating disorders and anxiety, the pandemic, lockdown, Bethany meeting her life partner and Kathleen losing her dad to COVID. B&K are always raw, real, honest and hilarious; talking about things both personal and not personal. During their time on the air the US has had 2 major, controversial presidential elections, a lockdown, Roe v Wade overturned, racial unrest, mass shootings, and the pod (and the FB fan group) have been a place to listen, talk, and heal. They really do feel like your 2 best friends, I 100% recommend giving the show a listen if you haven’t yet! They both also have spin off shows now: Bethany does “The Check-In” with Dennis, about working and living with your significant other; Kathleen has “Kathleen Can Do It,” a show with her other friend named Kathleen about DIY home design and improvement. I love both of those as well, and together the 3 podcasts are still the only ones I listen to.

You Can Sit With Us 💖
I love listening to the genuine dialogue between Bethany and Kathleen. Their funny, heartfelt banter showcases their friendship in such a beautiful way. They always focus on inclusion, which has created an amazing online community of unconditional love and support. The world is a better place because of this podcast!

I’ve been listening to this podcast from the beginning and have loved it in every season. Kathleen and Bethany sound refreshed and relaxed and still have a wonderful witty banter.

    Terrific
This pod makes me feel like I'm hanging with my girlfriends at brunch on a Saturday. Kathleen & Bethany make my commute a whole lot more bearable. Going to miss them when it ends.

    Opposites attract
I’ve listened from back in the Big Show days. Kathleen and Bethany are the friends that never make you feel judged. You’ll learn something new, laugh, maybe cry. Depends on the week. They are uplifting and supportive of each other and in turn, it feels like they’re uplifting and supporting you too. Come give a listen, learn something, and make a friend in the Tastebud Community

One of the best pods around
Been listening since day one!! I like when they do little change-ups. I hope they never stop

    Always a joy to listen!
For years now, Bethany and Kathleen have been the highlight of my podcast feed. Their engaging discussions, wide range of topics, vulnerability, and beautiful friendship combine to facilitate perhaps the coziest parasocial relationship I will ever have; listening to them feels like chatting and laughing with a dear friend. Additionally, the Facebook fan group is the absolute friendliest corner of the Internet and is a great place to connect with kind and genuine people. Thank you, B & K, for always keeping it real and for fostering such a wonderful sense of community among your listeners!

    Love the ladies!
I’ve been listening basically since the beginning (one of the first podcasts I started listening to), and I love An Acquired Taste podcast!! The ladies are hilarious and relatable. It’s fun to see them grow and change in their lives and careers, as we all do! 💕🤗 The Facebook community that was born from this podcast is also a great place!

Like hanging with your best friends
Great podcast! Easy and lighthearted listening. I have been listening since it started and have always loved it. I don’t mind the shorter episodes! It’s nice to get through an episode in one car trip sometimes. I will continue to listen as long as it goes on!

I didn’t know a podcast could change my life for the better
This podcast has been such a positive influence in my life since I started listening a little over 5 years ago. It helped me learn and grow as a person in ways I didn’t think were possible and has made me feel less alone in the world. I can’t thank these ladies enough for the community of people it has brought together through our Facebook group. I’m having trouble thinking of a good enough word to express my gratitude 💗
  • Tastebud87
    The perfect escape
I look forward to each week when I get a notification that a new podcast is up. I know that whatever mundane wife/mom task is lined up in my never ending mental to do list for the evening will be more enjoyable listening to the ladies dive into this week’s topics. I love hearing what they’ve got going on in their lives and often laugh along with whatever antics are going on this week!

    Thank you
I found this podcast during quarantine. I am now back to season one. I absolutely love this podcast. I feel like I am sitting in a room with my girlfriends and getting to enjoy a great, funny conversation. During this crazy time we’re in, this has been a lifeline for me. I get so excited when a new show comes out. Thank you both for bringing joy to dinner prep or car pool pick up! I definitely recommend this pod to anyone wanting a good laugh or interesting information.
  • Me20121999
    STILL my go-to podcast!
Personally I like the new format (and the shorter episodes), because I don’t always have a huge chunk of time to dedicate to listening, and I can’t multitask when I’m laughing along with the ladies. Bethany and Kathleen are always fun to hang out with, and I love to hear their unique opinions on the topics they discuss. Curious weirdos for life! ❤️

    Best pod out there
This podcast is the best of the best. I have been a listener since day one and every episode has brought joy, fun, education and entertainment - on light hearted episodes and on the heavy hitters. It is a constantly evolving podcast, never gets stale, and is relatable on so many levels. I feel like these ladies are my best friends! They read emails you send in and I have even had a question I sent be the subject of an episode! I recommend this pod to friends and will continue to do so. I appreciate that they are REAL human beings and share their lives with us so generously and truthfully.

    Still My favorite podcast!
These ladies never disappoint! Even with recent changes, Kathleen and Bethany continue to deliver an entertaining and inspiring podcast on a regular basis. Their topics are on point, interesting and fun. My son’s girlfriend introduced me to this podcast when it first started. She thought it would continue to keep me current and relevant 😀 I haven’t missed one yet!

    My parasocial best friends
Bethany and Kathleen have created such an amazing community. I look forward to listening in every week to catch up with them. They let us into their lives and talk about things that affect most of us and make us feel a little less alone. I started anti anxiety meds because of them and it was the best thing I did for myself. Love you ladies!
  • Monshey
    Wonderful, funny, real!
Kathleen and Bethany are great to listen to. I look forward to new episodes each week! They truly care about their listeners and provide great and honest content each week!

    A podcast that endures
My girls Bethany and Kathleen have been getting some flack lately for the changes to their show format, but I wanted to offer a different perspective… B+K have worked tirelessly for literally over 400 episodes - from their days at their “old job,” to becoming independently produced, through quarantine and moves and career shifts, and personal highs and lows, and through it all they have remained so very transparent and steadfast. I know most of us Tastebuds think that they’re our actual best friends and therefore we deserve everything they could possibly give, but sometimes there are factors behind the scenes that we can’t see (or hear), and we should give them grace. Their content is literally hilarious all the time and there have been some one-liners lately that have killed me. (Puppy Collar Crimes? Hello?! Pure gold.) All this to say - B+K, your podcast, in all its forms, has been my absolute favorite thing to listen to for the last 7 years. Whatever you do and wherever you go when this is over, you can rest assured knowing that you poured your hearts and souls into this and that you made so many people feel seen and heard. Five stars, always. Xoxo, Gossip Girl

    Truly awesome!
Not only do I love this podcast and feel like these two are my friends, but I love the community this podcast has created! So uplifting, so relatable, and every tastebud is truly there for each other. I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. The content Bethany and Kathleen provide is fun, educational, relatable, quirky, and just entertaining. My all-time favorite podcast ever.

    Love these two weirdos!!
I feel like I’m catching up with my two besties who also teach me something new and weird each week! This pod has also created a beautiful online community that I am so thankful for. This has always been one of my favorite pods, and always will be.

    AMAZING
I love this podcast. They’ve adapted over the years to fit the ever changing culture. They really take to heart what their listeners say. While I’m sad they’re ending the podcast I’m grateful for the joy and comfort they have brought to my life. I will always listen and support them
  • J_DOGG82
Quit the pod or do things like you used to
It’s just one long ad now. I HATE this new season. I went back to re-listen to 2019 because the new episodes just aren’t it…… as much as I hate saying it, if this is what the new pod is going to be, you should just end it on a high note. Absolutely love you girls but this isn’t what you created anymore.
  • Dobes dobes Kenobes
    New format
Like others have said it’s seems like one long commercial now. The conversation doesn’t seem genuine anymore with the way they segue into commercials. The topics seem to revolve around whatever ad they are putting out that week. I’ve listened for years so I’m bummed that it’s coming to an end and I get it but this format is no good. If your hearts not in it maybe you should quit while your ahead. Nothing wrong with that. I do really enjoy Bethany’s new pod cast The Check In so I’ll go over there and give that a 5 stars!
  • CoopTee14
    Awful new format
Love the girls and used to love the pod, but I wish they would have just ended the Podcast instead of going to this short format that’s 50% commercials. Really disappointing.
  • Susssssy88
I’ll pay the apple subscription for this show!
I started listening to this podcast many years ago when they first launched it through the Elvis Duran show. It makes me laugh on hard days, it brings me out of my anxious spirals… and I’ll be the first to admit I have a wild par-asocial relationship with these ladies 🫣😅. I don’t know if I’ll ever find another podcast quite like this one. I’d pay monthly for this podcast if it meant they’d keep making 50 min episodes for forever and ever, and I know many others would too. Please consider that option, much love and best wishes!!
  • drea lopes
    One long ad
I have loved this podcast for so long but can’t listen to this new format anymore and it makes me sad. Each episode now just feels like a long ad and the way they work the ads into their conversation is just upsetting, it feels like they are just keeping this podcast going for the ad revenue, but not actually putting forth the effort in creating quality content for the listeners. I totally understand their reasons for wanting this podcast to come to an end, but it’s better to just end it now vs selling longtime listeners short.
