JcaseychapmanWhat a surprising fallI’ve listened to this podcast for years and years and followed Sasha’s website. She was always one of the voices I listened to for Oscars insight. I know she has gone all maga and I had to unfollow her on social media because I just didn’t want to see the constant barrage. I decided to step back to the podcast and give it a listen as I did really enjoy her in the past. My God. For someone who should be so very happy now that their party won the election - won the house and senate - this is not a movie podcast anymore, it’s a whine and complain session. I fear Sasha may not know how to enjoy life anymore. The anger and absolute distaste for film is NOT a fun listen. Its complaint after complaint after complaint with no discussion of filmmaking or Oscar punditry. It’s a complaint list. What brings people like this joy in life? It’s almost laughable. To be making a podcast about the upcoming films of 2025 and to spend most of your time talking about Covid, torture, bin Ladin, and “being woke” - when should this just be categorized as a political podcast and not a film awards podcast. What a complete fall. There may be an audience for this - and my god are they an unhappy bunch. It’s Fox News reviews the movies - without the movie reviews.

Blindguardian12👍I learned about the show when she came on Megan Kelly. I’ve been listening ever since. Keep up the good work. I really tend to agree with your viewpoint and I hope your audience keeps growing.

Cinema FanboyInsightfulI love Sasha Stone and Jeffery Wells converse on the Oscars and Hollywood in general. I’ve read the controversy over Stone’s move to conservative thinking and as a liberal movie fan I enjoy her criticism of what she refers to as “woke” Hollywood. The politics of the Hollywood machine has been well known for years. But Stone gives an insiders view and a different take on the almost parodic ultra liberal mindset so many celebrities espouse. Oh, and I voted for Kamala and would do so again. Keep challenging us, Sasha.

Van kaleWish there were more.I only wish there were more episode. I am a professional artist and I listen to this podcast when I paint. Edit : loved it before Sasha went all 1910.

Leah SandageThoroughly enjoyableI really enjoy this podcast for Oscar lovers and film lovers alike. I always enjoy the fun banter of all of the Awards Daily team. Typically I agree with Clarence the most. As a cinema lover myself and having listened to quite a few film centric podcasts, it is nice to listen to the different takes as I would do the same with my own friends and family. I also love awards season and devour film reviews, always curious about the opinions that come from films I want to see that are not yet in my area. Love hearing about the film festivals as well, I also like to watch coverage of these on a regular basis. Good podcast overall, and I would recommend for anyone who loves film and awards season. Sasha calls them how she sees them and is typically on to something, so I don’t understand the bad reviews of her on the podcast. Keep it going everyone!

newbie100876Had to leave a reviewI have left maybe 3 reviews in my history as an avid podcast listener. After listening to the last I felt compelled to leave one. I randomly stumbled onto a podcast years ago called awards circuit and became a fan of the regulars on that show. When it ended I was sad but followed a few of them to their to new platforms. Thank you Mark Johnson because I love all these new people, especially Sasha! You all do not sound like sound bites, you sound normal. I could care less about political leanings or getting cancelled. You guys are respectful and honest and I miss hearing that. I love movies and the Oscar’s and appreciate your honest feedback! Please don’t listen to stupid trolls on twitter they represent .000001 percent of people on this earth. You all are awesome!

SingItBackRottenI genuinely had no idea what a caustic personality Sasha Stone is. I was only vaguely familiar with her until today- when Apple recommended this podcast to me. So allow me to summarize the whole of Ms Stone’s Oscar thoughts as presented in the one episode I listened to: persons of color only win because they are minorities (she outright says this with respect to her pick for original song), she really loves Top Gun, truly great directors don’t need to be qualified as a “female director” or a “director of color,” she really loves Top Gun, young audiences don’t care about great films- they only care about representation, and did I mention she really loves Top Gun? This podcast is absolutely dreadful; it’s mean spirited, embarrassing, and has a point of view that would be absolutely on the pulse in 1986. I mean honestly, if she’s that disgusted by the Oscars- she should just quit covering them, I doubt anyone will care all that much.

Jayne "Sunny" BaumanOscars 2023Great recap!!! Yes…go past that hour!!! ❤️🎵🎥🎞🎬

seeisabelCringeI found it concerning the lack of retrospect on BAFTA’s all-white award results. Likes it’s glaringly obvious.

Michael LindeSome Decent Oscar CoverageSasha Stone has moved to the right-wing in her Oscar coverage, which in and of itself could be fine, except Sasha rarely deviates from her anti-SJW talking points. Coda won over TPOTD because the cast is deaf, EEAAO is a frontrunner because the cast is non-white and so on and so forth. The problem is she can’t fathom that some people just prefer se movies to other alternatives, and her guests don’t challenge her or offer many divergent opinions.
-
somadineedanicknameLow energy and eating soundsVery low energy podcasts. A few hosts seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Couldn’t get over the sounds of eating on the background.

FilmsforLifeThe “Downfall” of Sasha StoneFilm twitter will tell you that Sasha Stone has lost her mind but she’s just changed it. Unfortunately she does at times shill for the right rather than be a free thinker. It’s sad but understandable what drove her there. It was primarily Ira Madison the Third who viciously attacked Ms Stone due to her defense of the abhorrent Three Billboards of Ebbing Missouri. Ira Madison the Third relentlessly bullied Ms Stone. For awhile it seemed she’d be politically centered but then she became obsessed with darlings on the right, including Ben Shapiro. Despite the tragic turn of events including Ira Madison the Third attemt to cancel the woman, Ms. Stone has prevailed and her thoughts on films and the Oscars are as acute and interesting as ever. Ironically Ira Madison the Third was banned from Twitter.

mfallikOffensively awfulI listen to a wide array of podcasts, and particularly movie podcasts. This one is insufferable. The latest episode was the final straw. First, one of the guys admitted today that he walked out of Top Gun for half an hour and then came back. That on its own is unacceptable for a movie critic, but the movie he walked into was Dr. strange but he couldn’t remember if it was Dr. or Mr. or Captain Strange. Besides this apparent lack of seriousness about his profession, he seems to be miserable and to actually hate movies. The worst part of this latest episode, however, was when Sasha started victim blaming while taking about the upcoming film “She Said.” She kept talking about that the film better show “both sides” and not just focus on Harvey Weinstein. She went on to posit that women put themselves in that position in order to advance their careers. What an utterly reprehensible position. There aren’t two sides when it comes to a power gap as wide as that of which Weinstein took advantage. He systematically exploited women within an institution he built. It is disgusting to insinuate that his victims have any culpability.

jfa9knrvnBest Award PodcastAll my friends and co-workers think I’m an expert award handicapper because I parrot all the information I hear here (and read on the site). Been listening to Sasha S. for years now and she’s just the most super gal. Longtime co-host Ryan A. is awesome too. The newer guys on the crew have also been fine additions. Must-listen if you love cinema and like to stay abreast of the award conversation.

ScotneyWhy no Spotify??It’s odd they’re not on Spotify, so I miss many of the awardsdaily podcasts… but good fun nonetheless when I remember to click over to apple

Pita Pan PiperSasha Stone, ExtraordinaireI could listen to Sasha Stone read the classifieds. But really, she has a gift at discourse, whether it's film or politics I want more. Give us more, Sasha! All her podcasts past and present are worth listening to. Insightful, comic, and all-around solid listening.

EZM777Simply Not very Good, Not good at allDecided to give this podcast a re-review as I followed this Oscar season. Unfortunately it’s pretty awful still. Stone speaks pretty stream of consciously without getting a point half of the time. Flores and Adams just agree with her. I’d love for them to voice their own opinions. They just come off as bland and void of personality. Also I don’t know which voice is which because she never introduces them individually (really basic podcast stuff). Meanwhile When Jazz comes on she almost never talks and almost always leaves early which is a shame because as the only person of color on the podcast I’d love to hear more of her voice. In addition, the podcast doesn’t have a regular schedule making it hard to follow. Awards fans can find much, much better content from podcasts like Next Best Picture, Little Gold Men, The Big Picture and even Awards Circuit Breaker.

SamsMythGet your fix! Can't get enough of this podcast and the great insight from Sasha and her guests, I just wish they published them more frequently! We need it! I particularly miss the daily Oscar Chat episodes Sasha did last year with more informal, off-the-cuff morning thoughts. Thanks Sasha (and Ryan and everyone) and keep up the great work.

Bye Trump!Serving Oscar Season Like No One ElseSasha Stone is one of the best Oscar prognosticators and Oscarologists working today. Her passion for film and most anything is irrefutable and it comes through in every thought that she shares through this podcast. I cannot think of a better way to wake up than with the musings of Sasha, the rest of the AD crew (and sometimes her little dogs too!) A++
-
LoganKenPlease come back!Writing this on June 24, 2018, and there hasn’t been a podcast since March 3! I might as well have gone on Big Brother and even then this absence is even longer than that show (99 days). Whether it’s about the Oscars, the political climate and American culture, Sasha (blessed with a confident voice) is an invaluable presence.

UncleJeff73Keep Up the Great Work, Sasha! As an avid podcast listener and Awards Daily visitor for over 10 years now, I can honestly say Sasha Stone is at the top of the heap when it comes to knowledge and passion for the Oscar race. Sasha, if you're reading this, I've sensed a fatigue in your voice recently. It is surely hard to do what you've done for so many years without the appreication and respect probably due you. If it helps, let me quickly share - I'm a 44 year old dude from the midwest who has decided to pursue a dream of film criticism and starting my own film blog. I don't expect to make a living out of it, but you have been a constant source of inspiration and have played a part in me purusing this possibly-futile-but-so-what-it-makes-me-happy-dammit dream. Keep up your strength, don't lose your passion. Unfortunately, it's always the negative camp that tend to voice their opinions the strongest. But I wanted to take the time now to tell you that you are doing a fantastic job - and I love the team you have assembled. I've fallen in love with Jazz's accent and could sit around listening to her read the Webster's Dictionary for hours at a time. Seriously, though, you are appreciated, you are respected, you are loved. And thank you for playing a part in my fulfilmment of a dream. Who knows? Maybe one day we'll be sharing a podcast together. Keep up the great work, all of you!

212floridaAddictingIntelligent, witty, insightful conversation with an appreciation of historical context, the world at large and most of all a love of film ... all the while imbued with grace. I love listening to Sasha, Ryan and the staff at Awards Daily. There is something quite special about these conversations. I've spent many hours driving around LA, laughing out loud to their (sometimes) naughty repartee, thinking differently about a film in a way I wouldn't have otherwise, second guessing my own prejedices and worldviews, and gleefully enjoying others talk about film, art & the Oscars in a way that I feel. What a gift! I'm always excited to see a new podcast pop up. Sasha, Ryan - everyone on your team - thank you!!!

burnmikBestSasha provides the most...and best, coverage on the Oscar voting process, the films, as well as good insights on politics every now and then. No one else who covers the contest understands the balloting system like she does and led to her usually being right about BP. I enjoy her podcasts at this time of year, it provides a little bit of fun while getting to see a lot of good movies. I also like winning an oscar pool every year.
-
speakandspelLove the oscar chats!I always listen to this podcast whenever a new one pops up. Oscar chats are great too! Sasha also has great taste in music so I love to hear what song she ends with on every podcast
-
All_GoneGreat Oscar film knowledge and ruminationsSasha and her fellow contributors and guests have really great discussions on the films vying for the Oscars for the year. If you have any interest in listening and learning about which films are likely to win an Oscar and why, this podcast is for you. I would also like to say that Sasha has recently started posted more frequently by including a short morning dog walk rumination on her thoughts about how the Oscar race is going. I particularly like these podcast because you get a real sense of how Sasha thinks through her Oscar processes and they are the perfect length for a dog walk! That is, she records while she is walking her dogs and I listen to them while I walk my dogs! Perfect! Thanks Sasha!
-
laswfanSasha is GreatSasha provides insightful daily coverage on how the Oscar race is going, from her years of experience covering it.
-
ragnesOscarchat is insightfulGreat rolling insights about the Oscar race as the season unfolds. Its loose format, casual, day in a life backdrop distinguishes it from the rest, which is refreshing. The opinions are passionately but they’re completely grounded and self aware.
-
dfkdjfaSuperb!Enjoying the mini-podcasts as well as the regular long one. I can live with the off-the-cuff, unstructured nature of the minis because Sasha's insights and perspectives are tremendous. Only complaint is when it's hard to hear her -- otherwise they're great and I hope they continue!
-
Jamie in N.Y.Oscar PodcastsHuge fan of all the podcast formats- whether it be the traditional group format or the casual morning format while walking your dog. Sarah32388Sasha is The Oscar Queen!Thank you so much for all of the mini “Oscar Chats” that you have been doing! Once we are in the thick of Oscar season, I can’t get enough content. I don’t care if you want to discuss something while cooking, walking dogs, eating, etc. Thank you for giving us even more content than usual. Very few are as qualified as you nor have they been doing this as long. If others don’t like them they can just not listen. Please don’t stop. Again as a self proclaimed awards nerd, I can’t get enough Sasha and Awards Daily!!!! Thank you!!
-
flightattendantlovesmoviesGreat PodcastI love listening to your podcast and your morning chat. Your insights are really helpful for making up my mind concerning the Oscars.
-
TSCole90Oscar chat segments goodI like the regular weekly podcast a bunch, and am really enjoying the new 'Oscar Chat' dogwalking segements. Nice to get the daily updates, the the 'unprofessional' nature of it is perfect for the casual thinking that it is. If these segments were recorded in a studio with a script, they wouldn't have the organic nature that they have. Keep it up, Sasha!
-
@doenahldGreat Oscar insightReally enjoy listening to these discussion. Particularly like the new morning chats Sasha does.
