Best video game podcast there is
This is THEE video game podcast. They know their stuff and the show format is perfect. They are informative and knowledgeable about what they’re talking about. This show makes me go back and play old games and has great nostalgia. Keep up the great work.

Love these guys ! Great retro game talk
The hosts are real friends with real video game history together and it really comes through. I enjoy the balance of lighthearted conversation and organized info and research on each game they cover. I finished all the NES episodes in their good sized back catalogue (my fave system) so now I’m going back and listening to the episodes on games from the other systems. I wish I had more friends like this to talk and play retro games with! This has become one of my favorite game podcasts right up there with Retronauts.

    Fun and informative
This is one of the best retro game podcasts out there. The hosts do in-depth analysis of every game and they keep things fun and light.

    Instant fan!
I’ve only listened to the Wonder Boy 3 episode but boy was it a good one. Smashing that subscribe.

    Thanks for the great podcast
I love listening to this podcast when winding down to go to sleep instead of just listening to white noise you guys are much more fun to listen to👍

Want to love it, but it’s unlistenable.
If you’d like to hear one person say all their thoughts while the other person says “mm-hmm”, “ok” and “yep”, this is the podcast for you! This should be one of my favorites, but I truly can’t stand all the useless filler from one of the hosts. The pod format is supposed to be compelling, but hearing another person audibly agree over and over again is quite the opposite. Either say something interesting or be quiet. It’s an audio medium. Use it as such. I appreciate you guys, but I will be unsubscribing now.

    So chill.
These guys are just easy to listen to, and their enthusiasm makes for a great listen. They’re so chill, the ‘cast is great “wind-down” listening after a day of work. Always good for a nostalgia trip.

This podcast stands out in that they go through the games level by level. It is a fun way to revisit games that you know and love. Five Stars!

    Takes me back...to the present
Just like some people get nostalgic over vintage cars or classic TV, this podcast takes me back to the days I’d grind away at many of these games. With the recent success of retro systems like the NES and SNES Classic and the availability of these games for download on new systems, I e picked up many of my favorite games again. Many of these have been featured on this very podcast. It’s terrific to get the background information I may have missed, and it’s organized in such a way that I look forward to certain segments. In games I know, I like how the guys go level by level. I also get many suggestions for games I missed. I hope the guys keep up the good work.

Laid back and lots of fun
Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with two old friends as they recount the best of times and the worst of times playing the old school video games of yore. The guys are easy to listen to and stay on topic as they encourage you to play along with (or in some cases, avoid) all kinds of classic or infamous titles. I love the theme, tone, and spirit of these guys, and encourage you to listen in!

    Well done
To repeat previous reviews: they sound very professional, no dead air, no one steps on each other's speaking time. I'm glad to have FINALLY found a retro podcast that gives three episodes to the love of my life, The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. I implore that they do one 32 bit game and that is Final Fantasy IX. Look forward to more episodes.

    Good Content
Good content without all the irritating aspects of other podcasts. They don't resort to lame, needless swearing, they don't say "like" all the time, and they stay on topic.

    Great podcast
Love listening to these dudes. The mood is casual and chill but the guys are very informative and interesting. It's like you're kicking it with a few old buds from childhood reminiscing about the simpler days of gaming. Keep in mind though, if you listen to these guys you're going to want to pick up a controller and play, guaranteed. Keep it up, fellas.

    Classic Casual Cool
Easily my favorite classic gaming podcast. Dudes are casual and funny, not cringe inducing nerds like so many other podcasts. Actually make the games sound fun. Definitely going to revisit some of the titles. The best is hearing other people's names for enemies or objects from these games (cloud centaurs from Mega Man 2) and then hearing the actual game manual names (lightening lords?!) Keep up the good work fellas!

    The feels!!
Man, I love this new podcast! It really brings you back to when you just started getting into video games and the nostalgia was so strong, I want to pick up super Mario bros and play it again! I really appreciated the incorporating of the sounds from the video game into the podcast. That really put the cherry on top! I'm definitely going to continue to subscribe and recommending this to all my nerdy friends. I can't wait for the next one! Keep up the good work guys! :)
