I don’t have much experience in my college degree (Bachelor’s in Journalism and Digital Content). So, I have been looking for a way -for a while now -to gain more experience and knowledge. I’m really happy I stumbled upon this career path and the Copywriter Club website, especially their Podcast channel. They give this semi lost aspiring writer such a great sense of security with the down to earth and educational content they provide us newbies with. Two specific things I love about the pod: First, it covers every imaginable aspect of copywriting (how to get started, where to find clients, what to do to level up your skills). Second, it packs value for copywriters of all levels. A total beginner and a certified A-list writer could listen to the same episode and each walk away with a page full of notes. I absolutely recommend to anyone interested or immersed in the world of copywriting.

I’ve only been listening to TCC for a couple of months and I seriously wish I’d found it sooner. Rob and Kira have an excellent roster of guests, each with super useful copywriting and business expertise. What I really love about the podcast, though, is how thoughtfully Rob and Kira structure their questions. They get down to the nitty-gritty details on key points from each guest, which makes it easy to really implement changes in your own business. I also love that they pause here and there to reflect on the conversation, which helps me pick up on some points I may have missed (especially since I’m always multitasking while listening). The Copywriter Club Podcast is my anthem for what copywriting is and should be. Kira and Rob’s credible yet humble approach is accessible for copywriters at all levels. Each week, the guests on the podcast are excellent, and the questions/discussion from the hosts is so poignant. I’ve learned the value of systems and automation, tips on the art of cold pitching, and the importance of consistent follow-up (because it’s never a “no” until the person says so!). Most importantly, I now understand that a copywriter is someone who solves problems and that there is great value in maturing beyond the role of a mere wordsmith into the strategist, consultant, and business owner in my own right. The only problem is that Kira and Rob have ruined other podcasts for me!

When I started my copywriting career I was desperate for information. There are only so many ways to learn about the craft, and none are very traditional. It is hard to figure out who to follow, what information is accurate, and how to apply it all. Rob + Kira make copywriting both approachable and manageable. In a world of information, they are bringing you the key points and the big players. Every episode has a nugget of gold and a long trail of knowledge you can follow with lots of Googling. It’s been the single-most helpful podcast of my career.

But to listen to them all...well, strap in for the magic carpet ride. Destination: Successville. The lineup of impressive speakers help entrepreneurs and freelancers alike to do business better. From a process or two to steal - to walking through the struggles and triumphs of those a few steps ahead of where you are today. The podcast doesn’t disappoint.

This podcast and the Facebook group associated with it have truly had a meaningful and positive impact on my life. If you listen you should totally check that group out too. Really some of the most genuinely great people ever.

Kira and Rob definitely know what they're talking about. They're great teachers and, just as important (maybe more important, with copywriting), great DOERS. Disclosure: I've been a guest interviewee, so maybe I'm biased. But then again, I don't recommend stuff I don't feel I can heartily endorse -- and I do feel that way about this podcast!
