Pump the breaks on the politics.
Questioning when the price of eggs will be lower now after the last 4yrs. Is priceless.

    Time to move on
I respect Pat and really enjoy all of Pat’s content but Alex is terrible. He’s the reason I have to unfortunately unsubscribe to this podcast. Sorry Pat
  • Bahskoh
Heavy on politics. Light on substance.
Listening to such one sided political takes literally makes me feel like I need to stop listening to this show. Nobody is here to be preached at, regardless of which side you are on. I have leaned left and voted left my entire life, so this isn’t some Trump-er reaction. If you want to discuss politics, discuss them. Don’t berate your audience. Political discussions with Frank were 10/10. I love listening to deeper thought on political theory. Discussions with Alex don’t represent anything other than surface reactions, and only serve to isolate half of your audience because he spends this time orating instead of dissecting. Bad takes on many subjects from Pat and banal ranting by Alex, paired with their combative attitudes towards each other, are making this impossible to see going much further. Who is this podcast for? Always consider your audience before you produce something geared towards them in the market. People came here from the CU Podcast to hear more from Pat. I get Alex is a game guy as well, so there is crossover, but these takes are just tuning me out.

    Awful
Horrible takes on mostly everything and that Alex co host is terrible

    Great podcast
I really enjoy the contrast between you and Alex. You can tell you guys are authentic with each other. Looking forward to meant more episodes!

    Formerly great podcast!
Finally had to unsubscribe. The new cohost does not work at all. Have loved all of Pats content up until now. Brutal.

    Relaunch w/ Alex
Still feeling the hole the CU podcast left, there is a lot of potential here. Look forward to more as chemistry develops.

    Excellent Podcast until..
Really enjoy listening to Pat shoot the breeze with the occasional guest. With this first episode (#58) featuring Alex, I’m not so sure. This feels way too combative and not really in a playful way. I’ll probably still listen but would enjoy this more without Alex.

    Thin Skin Pat
I lost all respect for Pat after finding out how delusional and sensitive he is. Hard pass.

    Long time listener
always enjoyed listening to the CU podcast and not so common podcast. Great to listen to while having to do a long drive or a boring repetitive task. I have been really been enjoying the talk with Norm. He seems like a really chill guy.

    Bad hot takes
If I ask my 8 yo opinions on stuff it would be better put together and this guys bad rants. He is such a crybaby about minuscule things.

    love it
sad that i have discovered this show seemingly after it was cancelled

    Shock jocks
I think pat is a D$&@ and very arrogant, he treats others as if they are below him. They run on shocking stories and pat loves to do one liners on people but never knows how to talk reasonably with people. Ian seems much better than him and should be running the show. He’s knowledgeable in show because he has experience with what they are talking about, but pat...he loves to collect, that’s about it.

Pat is the best, please more episodes
Pat Contri is the best I love hearing his thoughts and views on all subjects. When I heard he was making a separate podcast to do so I was excited. Been a listener since the day episode 1 premiered and I have loved this podcast so. Barely getting around to listening to the last eat episode (a year and a half late) still shows me what I miss so much of this show. Pat is just an awesome person who is unapologetically himself and tells it like he sees it whether it be gaming or beyond you can be sure Pat has a opinion and backs up his opinion on why he sees it that way. I don’t know to you will read this and I know you are busy but consider coming back to this podcast more often that you have been. Thanks for all the entertainment!

    Great podcast
I’ve always enjoyed pats podcast he hits on a variety of topics. Always something new to listen too and has had a wide range of guests. The best part of it is even if I don’t always agree with pats views on politics, social views or opinions he comes at it with a mature and studied angle. It’s like listening to a friend talk with you more then anything else.

    A Wonderful Podcast
The podcast complements the CU Podcast wonderfully. Often the host, Pat Contri, is solo, but sometimes he has great interviews with guests, including prominent gaming collectors. It would be great for the podcast to come out on a consistent schedule and more interviews with game collectors. Nevertheless, it’s totally worth to listen to past episodes and look forward to future ones! - J.J.

Good All around topics with gaming at the front
I really enjoy this podcast. Pat is very intelligent and some what of a good philosophical look at society and current events.

    Favorite Podcast
The Not So Common and Completely Unnecessary Podcast are both my favorite pods by far. Always entertaining to listen to while commuting. It’s rare to actually laugh while listening to a podcast but I often find myself laughing during both of the Contri Podcasts.

    What can I say... I’m a fan
I was sort of introduced to Pat via the Video Game Years (on Amazon if you haven’t seen it... fantastic documentary series). I enjoy his take on things, and his opinions. This show is interesting because it’s not always based on games, and shows a much wider gamut of subject matter. I find Pat to be an engaging host. Give it a try.

    Was great went total political
Was a great podcast now it is just left wing politics for over half of each podcast.
  • Adam234
    Great long form interview show
I have probably listened to four or five episodes so far and I have really enjoyed the interviews. Cannot speak to the solo episodes where it’s just Pat, but I really dig the show.
  • masternosaj
    Entertaining And Informative!
Good show, and very entertaining. It is good to hear the interviews with different YouTube personalities, however, it is also quite enjoyable to hear Pat talk about whatever topic comes to mind. This is the perfect complimentary podcast for those weeks when there isn’t a CUPodcast. Thanks for all the hard work you put in Pat!
  • upintrees888
    Quality solo effort from Pat
A decent pod on current events and in sight into content creation. Pat misses the balance of another host but still creates a quality pod I listen to regularly.

    Pat is the man!
Great side podcast! Love hearing his opinions and the topics are always good. Improvements- need more Pat math!

    Great Podcast
I have been listening to this podcast the past several weeks. Love the interviews! Keep up the great work Pat!
  • Ggdxhhfcfgcd
    These are great interviews!
Pat really does a great job interviewing. I think this is where he truly shines. From someone who ask questions for a living, I can tell you Pat is an all star interviewer. This is more than YouTubers tooting their own horn, or people talking about how awesome they are. The life experiences and stories shared in these interviews and short segments are worth more than your monthly subscription to Netflix. These guest are the real people behind THE next generation of main stream entertainment and news. And Pat, whether he knows it or not, is truly doing something special here. The podcast has a natural flow and I can tell Pat does his research and preparation before he interviews. And this is FREE!!! By far my favorite PODCAST of 2017.
  • Uyveh
    Meh
Kind of a fan of Pats. This is not a good podcast when he is on his own. I really don't care about your moving dilemmas. Putting out content like this is subpar and boring.
  • Zaxxon3D...
Great show, excellent variety of guests!

    Another great podcast
Whether Pat has a guest or not, I always learn something new and interesting every time.

    Great new podcast
Grade A interviews with people in and out of the gaming community. The Uncommon Podcast is insightful, refreshing, and easy to listen to. Definitely recommended!

    Pat is the man!
I love both of Pat’s podcasts (This one, his personal one, and the Completely Necessary podcast, his gaming one). He is always a laugh, is very knowledge about a range of topics, and always has the best of YouTube as his guests. Keep up the great work Pat!!
  • RudySilvergun
I'm so popular, boo hoo hoo.
When this show is good it's pretty great. But mostly it devolves into popular "Youtubers" complaining about being popular on YouTube. If that's your thing, you'll love this podcast.
  • WTFISTHIS???
    Awesome podcast!
Hey pat! I just wanted to leave a review and say that I love the podcast! I never listened to podcasts before I found yours and it’s been amazing. These podcast help me get through my 8 hour work day and I love when you do one with frank! Keep up the great work and keep these bad boys coming!!!!

    Nice accompaniment
I like this as an accompaniment to the CU podcast. It's cool to change up the topics here as well as speak with different gamers, or youtubers. Keep up the good work !
  • Sneejay
    Love Pats content
Pat's two podcast and YouTube channel has such great content. I prefer his willingness to speak his mind. His passion for the retro video game scene, and willingness to look after this hobby. Thanks for all your hard work and great content.

    Good show
    Would listen again.
  • ^~^~^~^~^
    love it
people are complaining about him talking about politics, he mentioned that he would make a podcast talking about anything he wanted including politics if you don't like it don't listen to it
  • BeastieTG85nes
    Funny
Great interviews with popular YouTube people

    Great Compliment to CUP.
Pat has been putting out high quality content with fantastic interviews and thoughtful commentary. It helps ease the pain in waiting for the next CUP, though now I have the pain of waiting for the next Not So Common. Keep up the great work!
  • DrivingBrian
Pat and I would probably fight in real life...
At least about politics, anyway. I'm sure we'd find common ground otherwise. Pat's solo venture into podcasting so far has resonated quite well, although I should probably put "solo" in quotes, since this has largely become a interview podcast. He's already taked to interesting internet personalities like Mike Matei, Metal Jesus Rocks, and Pixel Dan. I'll be curious to see who else he talks to in the future. Each episode so far has been quite entertaining and I'd recommend it personally.
  • mtrush98
    Im enjoying it
I love the interviews with other youtubers. The occasional solo podcast is interesting too. I enjoy hearing about none-gaming subjects from time to time.
  • jamesc4s
    Need to learn to interview
Except for the dumb Wrestling discussions, I have found the CUPodcast interesting. When it comes to retro games Pat is a subject matter expert. While I understand the desire to branch out, I'm not feeling it with NSC. The main issue is that Pat does not don't know (at least yet) how to interview. The best (or worst?) example is with Ben Heck. When it comes to product development Ben is an expert, compared to Pat. Yet, there were moments where Pat argued and Ben, being Ben, politely put Pat down while correcting him. With others, it's just hard to listen. Currently have the Norman episode playing. I really wish Pat would stop talking and let his guest speak. I don't need you to repeat what your guest is saying, I heard them the first time.

Love all your work!! I enjoy listening to your podcasts :D
  • Cyber-Fish
    Excellent content and great guests
I know pat said he wanted to be more personal with this podcast, but when he is personal or speaking with guests which is the norm with later episodes, the content is excellent, and intriguing if you are into video games, or just 80s and 90s pop culture. I enjoy my dreadful drives to work more listening.
  • Averyconcernedguy
    Amazing Podcast
I've really been enjoying both the guests that are invited to the podcasts and the discussions that are had in them. They are always informative and thought provoking while also provide some humor in the midst of it all. Its great to listen to while I am at the gym or at my desk working. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the CU Podcast or Pat in general. Through this podcast, you can find new people to follow as Pat chooses some incredible guests.
  • Jadiction
    Informative and interesting
I really enjoy this format more than Pat rambling on by himself in the CUPodcast. He's at his best when he's got someone to speak against. And a rotating mix of individuals keeps it lively and interesting. Well done but stay the hell away from politics. We don't need or care to hear what you think there.
  • joshua593210
    Pat does it again!
I've already been listening to the CU Podcast for a while and I really enjoy it! This podcast continues the already great content from Pat Contri with different guests that add new perspectives. I've been loving discovering new people that he's been interviewing as well learning more about Pat and his guests. I highly recommend this podcast!
  • Soundwave925
    Fun personalities!
I love this! It's great to hear pat contri interact with other YouTube stars.

    Great podcast
Pat is a silly man which makes for a great podcast with special guests! Check it out if you haven't yet

    Branch out
I like Pat a lot. Love his CU Podcast with Ian. However, this one falls flat with me. I enjoyed his thoughts in the first episode because I like to know more about people that I have listened to for years. And the second with Frank was great too. It covered a wide range of topics and Frank is a thoughtful, honest guy. But when he interviews YouTube celebs, and similar gamer types, it seems to bore me. Often it comes across as rooting their own horn, or sharing stories about being on YouTube. It focuses on things I just don't care about and I forward through in the hope that they'll get "real" about other issues. Hasn't seemed to happen yet. Branch out. Or just go back to the thoughts/rants/ravings of Pat every so often. I'm sure plenty of people enjoy this but I'm just not feeling it. Might have to just stick to CU Podcast.
