    Zero content. All ads
Great way for them to make money selling ads
  • Oscar458
    Way too many ads
Just tried this show for the first time. 13 minutes in and there have already been three separate blocks of ads. The content I heard was informative, but the number of ads made me feel like I was being duped, so I stopped listening.
  • Not all investors are men
Not necessarily for beginners and a little sexist
Just started to listen from the beginning. Other than contributing to my 401k I am completely new to investing. The lingo and terms used should be explained in more detail. The sound quality is not great and often times there’s a lot of background noise. Andrew’s sexist comments and the female voice for the intro is cringy and not at all appealing to female listeners. They should also keep their political opinions out of the podcasts and there are too many ads. I’m about 7 episodes in and will continue to listen until I find a better alternative as I have been able to learn new information.

    Too much advertising
Good info, but too many ads
  • Josephlijo2002
    Very informative show, But……
I truly appreciate this show. It adds a lot of value to a beginner investor. One suggestion I would say is to improve how to play ads during a podcast. I understand ads is the revenue and support it. But the Segway for playing ads should be define and handled gracefully rather than interrupting the speaker in the middle of an important topic. Recent show where the speaker was talking about long term investment was interrupted abruptly with these ads. So please make that change and it will truly become a pleasure for the listeners to enjoy the show.. thank you for all you do..

    Great for beginners
Thanks David and Andrew for the content. I finally dipped my toes in the stock market after listening to your guidance that I found helpful in several of your podcasts. I appreciate how you explain things in layman’s terms.

    Love the show, but…
Love the show, but it has more ads than any other podcast I’ve ever listened to.

Too many ads and crutch word…
Some good content, but too many ads, also repetitive crutch word “I guess”, and “”that makes sense” just touch a nerve in me, I can’t stand it.
  • Rolo72forman
    Too much background noise
Some of the information is good but there is just too much background noise and talking. This makes it difficult to concentrate on the person giving the information. I do realize that the distractions may be coming from the callers end.

    Too many ads. No content
Cmon guys. 14:20 into a 23 min podcast and I had to listen to 5 ads and boring babble on Charlie M which I was hoping would hv more content. Not sure why I keep giving you guys second chances. You’re likable and have the horsepower but need to be more efficient. Good luck

    Sponsors
Gzzzzz I wanted to listen on the small amount of time I have but wow the insanely long sponsor messages are just ridiculous. I know you need sponsors but 2 minutes+ of this no thanks I’ll look elsewhere
  • Cam Martinez28
    Too many ads
I’ve been listening for 10 minutes and 6 of the 10 minutes have been ads. Very frustrating.
  • It’s not too late to start
    Investing for beginners podcast
Began listening to Dave and Andrew’s podcast and immediately like the show. Went to the first episode and listened to about 4 a day until I got caught up. I turned 3 hrs of commute time into investing in my knowledge. At 62 the more I listened to them, the angrier I got at my 30 yr old self for not investing then. I defense though investing was not nearly as easy as it is now and I don’t believe partial shares were available then. I could have very easily thought that it was too late for me to do much about retiring with any kind of nest egg. I came to the conclusion that at least I can get my younger coworkers, my young family member, and anyone who would listen to start investing. One benefit to believing that it’s never too late is that if a land fall of money comes your way you will have the knowledge of what to do with it. I have and thanks to Dave and Andrew’s podcast I am much better off with retirement coming soon, so thank you two for working to educate the masses.

    Path to Financial Freedom
Back in 2017, I decided to learn about investing. I had no idea where to begin or how to make sense of the complicated stock market news. A quick Google search led me to Andrew and Dave’s Investing for Beginner’s PDF and podcast. This decision not only changed the trajectory of my financial journey, but also greatly increased my investing confidence. Dave and Andrew provide so much valuable and accessible information. I highly recommend this podcast. From the company examples, to the guest speakers, to the 500+ episodes, they help others understand investing and share their passions with the world.

    Terrible advice!
5 minutes into the first episode I’ve listened to and one host tells a new investor asking how to invest $10,000 “Instead of us giving you the fish, you should learn how to fish for yourself, but put $1000 each in 10 different stocks.” The 2nd host then says put a couple thousand in an S&P 500 index (fine advice), and then put $1000 in a stock of a company that you don’t know much about but you like because you may use their product…. What a joke. Can’t unsubscribe fast enough.

    New listener
Have listened to about 10 of your podcasts. I’m retired 75 year old and love podcasts because they encourage me to go walking (not with my wife). Started a portfolio last year with about $400k and fired my wealth manager that did practically nothing with $200k, took 1.5 cut annually and I got the crumbs. I would rather lose my own hard owned money. Your podcasts are awesome and already have answered so many questions. So started buying stocks last year through Schwab without any idea what I was doing. I have one value trap, now that I know what that is, in Walgreens. I only want to buy stocks, never sell. I only wanted to buy just to keep my in dividends in the 15% range. Does that make sense?
  • Great money podcast
Very new and learning so much from this podcast
I just started reading thought about investing and came across this podcast and I’m learning so much in such a short period time. Thank you so much, keep it going, and I would recommend anybody!! 😁

    Great place to start!
I appreciate how simple you keep it. It’s an easy podcast to listen to to keep you motivated and dip your toes in the stock market. It’s also possible to dive much deeper with some of the keynotes that you both bring into the podcast! Thanks for all you do!
  • JMEO1985
    Good Start
It’s a good place to start, it’s where I started a couple years ago. I’ve moved onto some more advanced investing podcast. But I still listen to it it’s a good listen. If I would change anything it would be to add more interviews and guest appearances. If you haven’t already give it a try you’ll def learn something. If your new to investing start at the beginning it’s like a book.

If you like ads this one is for you
Use to love listening to this podcast, I understand hosts, have to be compensated for their time…but their ads just ruined it for me every 5 minutes it just ruins the flow, of their topics
  • I am so
    Love the show!
There is a lot of valuable information here. Each episode is thoughtful and has made me rethink many of the things I assumed to be “right “. I look forward to each episode because I always learn something. They have really changed the way I invest.

    Fantastic podcast!
From navigating investments with an ever changing market, to learning HOW to invest, this educational podcast is for anybody ready to diversify their investments, tap into to passive income, and become financially independent.

Awesome starting point for the journey
This show gives you the ability to understand the journey of investing. Also, the ability to find answers to questions most beginners like myself have when it comes to information overload studying something new. Truly enjoy listening to the fellas talk about personal experience, as well as experience with the market overall. Course, they have ads, but that’s part of it when your budget isn’t say….Motley Fool, or Morningstar! At least you get the genuine feeling this show is looking to help someone who is making the jump into the stock market.
  • Jrobertspe
    Never too late to start
Andrew & Dave explain investing in a way that makes sense. Investing is a topic that can feel overwhelming. They break it down into easy to learn pieces that compound your understanding over time. Just start. You’ll be surprised how your knowledge & confidence builds! I wish I’d found them years ago but am thankful for them now. I have benefited immensely by their podcast, website, spreadsheet, book & newsletter - most of which has been free. Thanks Andrew, Dave & team!

Horrible ads back to back. Info was useless

    Too many Ads!
Echoing recent concerns of other listeners. Content is decent. I listened to 75% of episodes up to around episode 210. Recent episodes have waaaay too many ads. 25% of time now seems to go to ads. I’ve stopped listening to this podcast as a result.
  • mrgilot
    Decent.
Content is decent. WAYYYYY too many ads now. It’s a shame.

    Best podcast!
I stumbled upon this podcast and it has become one of my favorites. Great job guys! Christine on Long island NY

    Awesome investing Podcast
IFB is one of the best podcast (pod-class) for beginner investors that I’ve come across. Andrew and Dave (and guests) share so much information on getting into investment (especially value investing). I listened a few of the newer episodes, then I went back and start listening from Episode #1 and working my way through the back episodes. I’m now at episode #150. A big thank you to Andrew and Dave. Keep up the great work.
  • PJ Denver
    These guys know their stuff!
    Great podcast! Listen every week!
  • live_laugh_learn
Felt the episode with Katie Gatti was biased
While it’s fair that not everyone is comfortable investing in real estate and there are much more options these days to invest into as opposed to older times when possibly the only biggest investment was real estate, there’s still a lot of benefits to both real estate and other investing. In the episode, the guest speaker appeared very anti real estate, which might influence someone new just starting into investing
  • Princess leía 667
    NOT for beginners!!!
I started with the first episode, like I usually do when listening to new podcasts, and I am so lost! Guys, maybe you improved through the years, but you should’ve taken a class on how to teach before saying that this is a podcast for beginners. You guys were speaking as though you were talking to people who already knew what you were talking about. You need to think about a person who has never been exposed to your material first, then go from there.
  • Manny in California
    Highly Recommend
Another great weekly podcast. These guys have opened my eyes to other types of investing and money management skills. Highly recommend you listen and follow.
  • Third Horseman
    Okay
Just okay. Most of the advice is very very basic and often times oversimplifies. Neither host has extensive background in finance or investing. As such they provide novice advice that could steer investors in the wrong direction. Guests often spout the stocks they own, creating a conflict of interest on the advice they provide.
  • Grant KM
    My favorite investing podcast
Dave and Andrew have excellent chemistry, super down to earth, and provided really valuable perspective on the market and deciding where to invest. I only wish they’d do episodes more often!
  • Assfghkliygvjutrsdghj
    Blatantly and Objectively Wrong
Within the first 5 minutes of listening, they stated that a Traditional IRA is subject to capital gains tax when money is pulled out in retirement. Episode 206. How are they hosting an investing podcast?
  • Biggie64220
    New & old
They’re dispensing years of knowledge passed down from the masters f value investing. It’s like we’ve read the exact same books🤣regardless of experience, these guys are a good listen. Very useful and definitely needed t just for beginners. Plenty people been investing for years are doing it wrong.
  • QBrill
    Great Show!
Andrew and Dave are a dynamic duo dispensing valable knowledge. If you are new to investing you must listen to this show.
  • Jessebo8247
    Definitely not for beginners
I’m a beginner with zero experience in investing. I listened to the first 30 episodes for a couple of weeks, and heard a bunch of unexplained terminology and abbreviations that an insider may get know. I spent a lot of time researching terminology. I’ve learned 2 things from the podcast 1. Be patient and 2. Don’t sell stocks often. The podcasters are knowledgeable, but the podcast should be renamed for the semi advanced investor.
  • KristinMc17
    Great Info
I found this show via Airwave Media and am so glad I did. Investing in stocks feels intimidating and inaccessible, but this show has given me confidence through information. Highly recommend!
  • One shot
    Really solid information/teaching
This team is exactly what I was looking for. My wife and I are in our $40’s and have been investing for only 3 months. I have been listening and powering from episode 1. First of all the first few episodes have a feel of “this podcast is geared to new young investors”. Once you pass those and really dig into what these guys are saying you quickly realize their info is really for all levels and ages. I really have learned a lot and continue to learn after every podcast episode.
  • fymydk
    Brand new

Just starting out & learning a lot!
I recently got into investing in the stock market using RH and Dave & Andrew are teaching me a ton! Prior to getting into investing, I knew absolutely nothing about the market or stocks in general. With a little bit of self teaching combined with this podcast, my investing knowledge has already grown tremendously! Those complaining that this podcast is too advanced for beginners because of the terms Dave & Andrew use etc. are relying on a podcast to teach them everything & to me that’s an unfair expectation. Thank you Dave & Andrew for breaking it down and teaching us newbies how to invest, screen stocks, and overall be more educated investors!!
  • malfoxley
