    Love this podcast
Started listening to this podcast, from ep 1, on Sunday, 3/24/24. Heard about it from Wood Hawker, AKA BeatEmUps. Love it, but because my real name is Philip, every time Filip is on the pod, and you address him by name, I keep thinking someone is talking to me lol. Keep up the great work, and I’ll catch up within a few months.

    Nate’s mic audio
Nate’s mic audio has a weird feedback or background noise while he talks that is kinda annoying. Or than that, loving the Xbox podcast.

A Good Show With a Weak Link
Been listening to Spawn Cast for years. It’s a great show to hear some discourse about current gaming news though of varying quality from the panel. Feels like we don’t get guests as often as we used to. I hate to be that person but I’m not really sure why Josie is here. She basically contributes nothing, plays basically none of the games that are talked about, barely comments on the news. If you’re trying to get a younger voice, there are far many better options. I understand the logic of giving a smaller channel some help, but I feel like she would be better suited as a guest, not a permanent panelist.

    Great dynamic of personality
I love hearing everyone on casts takes on what going in the gaming world. I don’t know who RGT thinks he is but dude needs to take himself less seriously.

    Incredible Conversations & Humor
The sound effects are subtle yet needed, if not necessary

    Mixed
The cast rotates a couple people week to week, but the new girl Josie has become a permanent staple to the show and I just don’t like her nasally voice or understand why she’s on the pod. She’s the youngest member and is still in college. Having a younger member could be OK if she brought more knowledge of games or their history, but she says often she doesn’t know of certain series.

    More of the same
Used to really enjoy Spawnwave when he focused on being informational. Then everything just became the same gamer cynicism that permeates every other podcast and YouTube channel.

    Nobody does it better.
I’m a podcast enthusiast that’s addicted to video games and this show is the highlight of my week. Yes, I’m a loser, but I have excellent taste in podcasts and this crew does it better than anyone else in the medium, especially gaming. Knowledge and entertaining hosts and I really appreciate how they remain playful and real with some politically sensitive stuff in 2021, other podcasts sound robotic and unoriginal because they’re too scared get near a line in the sand. These folks are just unapologetically genuine and I appreciate it!

    Sometimes feels uneducated.
Let’s be clear. By uneducated I, in no means, refer to school education or cognitive abilities. By uneducated, I mean that the people that do this podcast address the topics more out of subjective, self-centered (not to be confused with egotistical or self-fish) points of view, rather than gathering as much facts as they can before offering their opinion on the matter. Some of the guest seem to even offer their opinion as a “just because” argument, which loses me. “X” game is better than “Y” because it is. “X” console is better than “Y” because it is. “X” developer should do this over “y” because. “X” company should create “Y” console because that would be great. That’s how the podcast can feel much of the time. It is still entertaining when you put that aside, but you often have to put a lot aside to enjoy the show.

    Great podcast at one time
Loved John’s show and his podcast, The issue is he lets all these random YouTubers join the podcast. It just becomes one giant cluster of voices and the quality went out the window. A typical episode consists of random rants and what they bought at the store.

Interesting Cast with One Big Caveat
The show can be an interesting and diverse dive into gaming news and events. With so many personalities, you get a great spectrum of opinions and input. This does lead to one large problem that can push an episode to unlistenable, though. The moderator is unable to manage so many people and a topic can quickly devolve into five or six people screaming over one another for extended durations of time. Worth a listen, but this issue is holding the show back.

    Don't like Dreamcast Guy
So much better when Dreamcast Guy doesn't show.

Look, I’m not going to come down on the podcast for this
But Nate needs to calm down. I don’t even disagree with the points he makes. But frankly, if you want to scream and yell and get angry, do it elsewhere. It’s a video game podcast that’s intentionally kept pretty light. And I don’t condone bullying of anyone for leaks - and again, I agree that it’s wrong how seriously people take things like Mario remakes. But frankly, he’s uncomfortable to listen to. And not in some sort of informative way. If I wanted to hear someone yell and be angry directly in my ear, I’d spend a weekend with my abusive father. I know the gimmick is he’s angry and he goes on tangents. But it’s not a comfortable listen. I’m sorry. Maybe it’s my fault for misconstruing the podcast for being something it isn’t. I’m not a “keep politics out of xyz” kind of person, because politics is in everything. But as a whole, the anger is not an endearing personality trait. Frankly, I’m worried for how angry you do get. I’m not trying to come down on anyone. Honestly. It’s nothing personal. And I don’t wish ill on him or the channel. But he’s really negative. Not negative in that “I don’t like his reports” but negative in “you’re making me sad.” I’m severely prone to depression. So I get it. Maybe that amplifies it. But everyone here is for the most part keeping things light, and when they tackle serious topics, it’s done with some nuance. It just feels like a lack of maturity. I can’t be the only one uncomfortable with just all the sighs and the moping. It’s a bad vibe when really everyone else is a joy. I’m not privy to the harassment and stupid comments these personalities get. So in a way, I try to keep that perspective. I get a bit tired of antagonizing chat. And I get a bit tired of “chat” being some entity everyone comes down on (I’m not in chat, I listen next day). But hey, people are stupid. I’m sure these people get hundreds of idiotic and hateful comments a day. The internet gives people a platform they don’t deserve. I’m sure it’s frustrating. So that stuff, I get. However, again. With Nate, I’m not mad he shoots down rumors or keeps his perspective realistic. It’s his job as someone with sources to navigate those waters and report what he knows. I’m sure he’s got some valuable industry insight. But he just comes off as the mopey and depressing friend in the group. As a weekly listener, it begins to get grating. He makes good points, but it really triggers depression in me. I’m sure this will just be the butt of some joke, like I’m some irrational “hater.” But, it’s a concern. And not that one person tuning out will matter. He makes me sad. He triggers depression and reminds me of a lot of anger and cynicism I had to be around growing up

    Saturday Night Online Community
Feels like a big community just having a good time talking about games with some good banter and growing cast. Funny, informative, entertaining. Great in audio and video.

    Great!
This podcast is always a fun listen. With the amount of people it can get to be a little much sometimes. RGT is literally unbearable.

    For video game enthusiasts
John (or Jon?) does a spectacular job at putting on an amazing podcast filled with laughter, news, and opinions on all things video games. If you’re like me, this is a weekly delight and something to look forward to every Saturday. Shout out to all of the other guests too especially RGT85!

Always entertaining, and a great way to find out what you should be playing
I’ve been listening to the SpawnCast for almost a year now. It’s got quite a cast of characters, and over time you get to know their tastes and can match them to your own. Always lots of good content here — it’s a major part of my week!

    Great Content
I just wish the microphones used were better quality . Podcast sometimes sounds muffled but overall a great podcast!!

    Would be good...
Half of the time they have no idea what they are talking about or they are just toxic and don’t help the image of the gaming community. The other half is fine and enjoyable, however. I’m subbed to multiple gaming podcasts and these guys are the bottom of the barrel in my playlist for the week. ⭐️ ⭐️ and a half stars.

    Lose PlayerEssence
He’s the worst part of the podcast and does nothing else but shill for Nintendo. He’s just an small youtuber latching on to bigger youtubers in the hope of growing. This is a pretty good podcast but his inclusion really lowers the quality

    Great stuff but
Lose Dreamcast guy and Nate they are trash but other then that the guest are good

    Don’t Miss It
This is one of the few shows and podcasts I don’t miss each week. Whether I’m listening live on YouTube or listening here on iOS podcasts to listen cause I might’ve missed some information live. It’s so good that I’ll relisten no problem. Also because of spawncast I get introduced to good new gaming YouTubers, so I don’t have to review and scour YouTube for new talent to watch. The youTubers that are on are always well informed so you get a wealth of knowledge.

Could be good but some guests ruin it
I really like this podcast but when they have yellow kazoo on it becomes unlistenable. She’s constantly interrupting, asking the other guests to repeat themselves and just in general seems confused about what’s going on. I don’t know why they would have on someone who is so clearly not meant for a radio-style format but I wish they’d stop.

    My Favorite Gaming Podcast
I've been a listener since the beginning, and I have to say that the Spawncast has been nothing but consistent. I love both the regulars and rotating guests (specifically RGT85 and Rob) and there's always a chill, fun-loving atmosphere amongst the guys. If you love games (or specifically Nintendo), I can't recommend this podcast enough. Right up there with GameXplain's Real Talk in terms of quality.

    Nice!
I had no idea you had audio versions of everything. Thank you so much for this! Makes my commute places much better. Spawn wave provides excellent coverage on gaming, and rumors. I recommend it, especially on YouTube.

Spawn Cast is a must-hear gaming podcast for Nintendo Switch fans!
What a show! If you love gaming but dislike when hosts get off-topic, guests are boring, music's too loud, or everyone has the same thing to say, check out SpawnCast! This podcast never lets me down! This weekly podcast has already featured nearly all of my favorite Nintendo-focused YouTubers. SpawnCast is so professionally hosted by Jon that the conversation always stays on topic, everyone contributes, and you'll hear ideas and commentary you won't get on any one of their channels! I follow Spawn Wave closely on YouTube and Twitter - I wish his News Waves were a daily podcast, because he packs every big headline into each of those and sometimes does News Wave Extras when news breaks late in the day. Nevertheless, LOVE THIS SHOW! Thank you for making me a Gaming Guru, Spawn Wave Media!!
