Who Was John Galt?Great showI’m more of a woodworker and hobby farmer but this gives good insight to other media. Sadly it seems that their last episode must have got them into hot water with the Netflix and CBS mafia. They completely dropped off and have not addressed the podcast cutoff on any of their other platforms. I hope you guys are safe!!

@RoonwerksI started at Episode one!Hey there, my journey to the podcast started on YouTube actually. I first subscribed to Homemade modern and after a few months drifted over to IG and followed Ben Uyeda where he mentioned the podcast. I listened to the lasted five episodes at that time, somewhere around 200-210 and decided I liked it enough, but I wanted to get more background on these Mike and Chris characters. Well it only took me about six months of commuting (the only time I listen to podcasts) and I can finally say I am caught up! Some of the beginning episodes were meh, but they were still feeling each other out. Now it’s pretty solid! I’ve come to enjoy each other personality and strengths to the podcast. I hope they stick together and keep it going as I’m just starting a side hustle woodworking business and YouTube account. These guys build so much enthusiasm about making and sharing with videos. Love the show guys!

Thirdspace MakerKudos to the Editor for:“I preferred stuffed animal dinosaurs.” 😂
-
Inferno0910Really enjoyable showI wasn’t sure if I’d be into this show, since making is such a visual medium, but I’ve actually really enjoyed it. All three hosts have different and interesting personalities, and I really enjoy listening to them discuss their projects, perspectives, and interests.

DoceverFun ListenThis Podcast is a certified banger. These guys make the content entertaining, engaging, educational, and at times philosophical. Just great content to get you motivated to go make something and be creative. If you have an interest in being a content creator and/or maker this is a great show.
-
Bent MattleyHard passIf you’re interested in an hour long ad then this is for you. A lot of self aggrandizing and just promoting their own social media channels. There are a lot of better podcasts made by much better crafts people who care more about their actual work than collecting YouTube sponsors.
-
Elly KenastyGreat podcastIf you're interested in these guys' channels and you want some behind the scenes of their content creation process, this is a must listen. Also just plain old fun.
-
hound962Great insight into the YouTube maker worldIf you follow them on YouTube then you’ll enjoy the show. They talk making, YouTube, and wax philosophical on whether corn dogs are better than hotdogs. Highly recommend, certified banger.
-
blar12345NahTurned it off right away. First thing they wanted to talk about was how one of their followers was “punching above their weight” but didn’t provide a single useful, productive thing from the conversation. They seem dismissive and full of themselves. Hard pass
-
TenPMPerfect if you want to hear utubers brag about their equipment. This show is a collection of annoying people sitting around patting themselves on the backs and talking about how great they, their gear, their shops, their last projects, etc. are. Awesome if you want to spend an hour in a bar with d-bags minus the drinks, the bar, and even a bartender to chat with.
-
nashvillemnListen every week!-2 stars for the amount of times they (mike) interrupt each other and plug their own social media. A bit promotional at times.
-
Joe5113You’ll learn somethingThis is a great podcast. Lots of insight into design, materials, business, creativity, and just thinking through the process of making. Each of the guys brings something unique to the table. And they seem to always have a good time.
-
cobwattsD I Why?Chris is the only one who knows what he’s talking about. 5 stars will eat here again

badbrainzDick jokes and snobbery aside...Three talented guys, but frankly I’d enjoy it more if it were mostly (or all) Chris Salomone. I just dig his humility and low key vibe a lot more. Mike and Ben spend far too much time plugging their products/projects, and both have a know-it-all attitude and very privileged aire about them that I find a bit grating. I get that the show aims to promote the maker community, but it too frequently comes off as a marketing ploy/insider boys club.
-
SonomacoastDo It!Really good podcast! A lot of great information about design concepts, business, and innovation. Great to listen to while driving or working in the shop
-
ericjspencleyBest podcast around!Ben, “Mark”, and Chris have hilarious banter that won’t disappoint! You gotta check this one out! Here’s a hypothetical for ya: would you rather eat Applebee’s every day, or only be able to eat two days a week, but it can be any food you want?
-
the daniel duttonAlways awesome podcastThis is one of the best making podcasts. It is a certified banger! Always fresh and taking in the big ideas of design and a modern take on diy! These guys are the best!
-
ExploredSawdustAmazingHey guys, great podcast. 11 out of 10. I don’t know if you see this, but I was wondering if on your next episode, you could talk about the difference with filming projects vs not. And how much more of a challenge making is when filming. Thanks. Btw, love this podcast.

majprealSolid maker content, Chris says "like" too much. This is one of the "Maker" podcasts I listen to regularly (Made for Profit and Craft will Never Die) are the others. I like the format of this one and appreciate the polished production. Their strong production for their various YouTube channels carries over into Podcasting and for the most part, their personalities play well off each other. I am deducting a star because one of the hosts (Chris Salomone) says the word "like" more than an immature high school girl. I, like, wanna, like, use the word "like", as a form of like, audibile, like, punctuation. Drives me, like, nuts.

JuanjuliodelafantoyaGreat podcastFound you guys while searching for podcasts about making stuff. Glad I did. Keep up the great work!

The_DIY_Guygreat podcast for any DIY’erI’ve been listening to this podcast for the last 6 months or so, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The best part about the MM podcast is that it’s not for any one DIY skill level-The guys do a great job of not talking over anyone’s heads, while still keeping things very informative and fun. 10/10 would recommend!
-
HiSirByeSirModern Maker ⚒I am a huge fan of this podcast. These 3 bring great perspectives to building and the maker space. I look forward to Thursdays for their new content. Keep up the great work!

KillinchrisAwesome Podcast!Hey guys, I just recently started listening to your podcast and I am playing catch-up. So I’m sorry in advance if anything I’m about to say/ask was already talked about. This is an awesome podcast! I love listening to two episodes a day on my way too and from work. I like to build things as a hobby. I’ve learned a lot and have had many ideas from listening to you guys. So keep up the creative ideas. Anyway, one question I have is have any of you made your own tongue and groove boards with router bits for joining boards to make a table top? If so, how well did it work and was it efficient? If not, do you think it would be a bad idea? A hypothetical is if you could only choose one food you were allowed to eat for dessert for the rest of your life what would it be? I’m currently on episode 69(haha) catching up so if you address this in a new episode can you give me a holler so I can skip ahead? PS- Ben play nice. We get it, you don’t like sketchup but let Chris live his life! Thanks, Christian

Rick FreebsEssential maker-centric contentRight there with DiResta-Clagett-Picciuto’s “Making It,” this should be one of the foundation blocks of your Maker podcast library.

jakekalebMaterialsHi, I am a new maker and a college student. Where do you recommend I find cheap materials? I really enjoy making and have made some cool things but I’ve exhausted most of the materials in my school’s Makerspace. What do you recommend?

dakoodlesMike the GreatIt all started when I began making things/furniture for my house which of course lead me to YouTube. I stumbled upon Modern Builds and binged everything. It was through Mike’s content that I discovered this AWESOME community of creators. I love being an audience to them all. They’re creative, funny, and they have a plethora of wisdom. MamideRayHilarious, entertaining and informative (sometimes)First, the guys are awesome. They all come across as down to earth funny bros. The bromance is strong with them. They are funny and fresh. Love the perspectives and the LOLing that takes place when I listen to them. Where else will you hear all the possible names Kreg should have used for their ACS!?!? 🤪
-
Hand HammeredSemi-nutritional brainfoodA weekly one sided collaborative brainstorm between myself and 3 guys I’ve never met. For months, I have listened to this podcast. Looking forward to every week’s launch. At the end of every episode, thinking, I should really review these guys. And yet... I did not. A combination of their similar and conflicting viewpoints, meshed with hot takes and food analogies keeps it entertaining and informative. The content of this podcast is unparalleled. 5 stars. Would definitely recommend. 🙃
