wally joeGreat individually, better together!Been listening and reading various books, posts and podcasts from these two for years. It’s sane, competent and colorful content like this that gives me hope for a fitness world mired in fakes, posers and loudmouths spewing bro-science. Stay the course, gents!

Clambe9Awesome Podcast and Workout ProgramsPat and his guests are really informative on keeping fitness simple. The minimalistic approach to fitness is something lacking in the industry and Pat does a great job of keeping things simple for viewers. I have truly enjoyed the variety of content provided by Pat and have followed numerous workout programs he’s put together. It’s the perfect content for individuals who want to stay fit for life but have a life outside of fitness as well! Keep up the great work!

ACFBJJExcellent podcastThis podcast is full of outstanding fitness content. Rather than the trendy workout and nutrition tidbits so common to much contemporary online fitness creators, Pat (and his guests) continue to offer up tried-and-true, practical and practicable fitness guidance. Perhaps the best part is that the advice contained herein is always applicable to the loves of busy, regular people trying to get in better shape. Thank you!

Monsieur KeithI definitely recommend being a consistent listener to these podcastI’ve been listening to Pat Flynn and Dan John for several years now. I wish they were more in the spotlight when I was a teenager (I’m currently a 40 year old male). If you can start listening to them you’ll find what they teach to be very logical, practical and something you could stick with for a lifetime.

peachtea123Top level contentSerious stuff, giving master level philosophy and theology but while keeping it accessible but still challenging to more novice listeners. My only suggestions are: bring Dr. Jim whenever you can and make more philosophy and theology content than working out stuff, buts that me....Keep on killing it! ✊

cool cognitionI’m a gentle listener and a gentle fan of The Pat FlynnI discovered The Pat Flynn show from John Derosa’s Classical Theism podcast and I’m so glad I can continue to learn with Pat and John. I love being a studious amateur of philosophy and theology and loving the God who is entirely simple and eternal and impassible. From Pat Flynn I’ve learned more about phenomenology and philosophers like robert sokolowski and Bernard Longan. My learning expands and my heart soars as I contemplate the ineffable God !!! Much thanks for your labor to share your knowledge !

DryMan03Great podcast for kettlebell enthusiastI found this podcast after i found pat on youtube. I was looking for a kettlebell program to build strength which led me to the youtube video of the Prometheus protocol. Before that i was just finding random workouts on the internet becuase i was a kettlebell newb. Now after the youtube video, i found the podcast. Have listens to many old episodes and almost every new episode pat post. I now have endless workouts to do and a better understanding of diet and nutrition. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who wants to learn about fitness and kettlebells.

ACW 2992I came for workout tips and stumbled on so much moreFinally. All the answers to my questions I didn’t even realize I had! A simple search of “kettlebell basics” led me to Pat’s podcast and I was not disappointed. I was surprised to find that Pat has networked with some of the most impressive names in fitness to bring quality content. It’s as if I attended a multi-hour masterclass with a dream team of instructors. This podcast has helped me start figuring out how to reconcile the paradox of kettlebell simplicity and simultaneous complexity or generalizability, as Pat calls it. The attentive listener will quickly figure out exactly how to prepare one’s self for kettlebell movements, as well as how to warm up and recover—again, all of this without gimmicks. Pat and his guests always include the “why” so it takes the guesswork out of why certain movements work and how one’s mind-body connection should be responding to them to maximize efficiency. This has allowed me to start moving with the kettlebell without injuries or compromised body mechanics. I knew it was working when my hamstrings started burning on what I thought was more of an arm exercise! I consider it a travesty that I have yet to get into Pat’s philosophical works (as I just found this podcast last week), but I’m excited to delve in them as well. The titles indicate to me that Pat has worked hard to deliver thoughtful content on some of the most provocative and timeless topics in philosophy. This is my new “go to” and I would recommend it to anyone who’s trying to exercise their mind and body to its full potential without the involvement of complex machines, equipment or regimens. I believe that this is the type of podcast that could be life transformative, especially to the uninitiated or beginners like myself. Finally, this podcast is CLEAN and Pat gives ample warning if he anticipates having guests that use more “colorful” language. I feel comfortable playing this around my children which is awesome. Thanks for the content you’ve labored to bring your audience, Pat! You’ve got a new dedicated listener.

Broken Arrow EricOne of the best Kettlebell podcasts out therePat’s show is awesome. He has a deep knowledge of kettlebells and I love his “generalist” focus. Plus he has some amazing guests on regularly. His philosophy stuff is super interesting also.
-
pmoran44Awesome infoThis past year with COVID I have gotten into kettlebells. This podcast among others have been my guide into the kB world. Love the programs and the concepts. Thanks for sharing this

paulseat23Cant get enough of the Pat Flynn Show!If you’re a fitness enthusiast OR just looking to get started, Pat Flynn is your guy. He’s authentic, he delivers high quality content, and engages consistently with his listeners which is super nice. The way he intermixed fitness with philosophy is also super engaging and makes his show and content all the more compelling. Highly recommend for pretty much everyone that wants to better at not just fitness but this big endeavor called “life.” Keep it up Pat!

KBell noviceExactly what I was looking forJust found this podcast last night and am on my second episode already today. I was looking to transition from a typical weight lifting program into more kettlebells and stuff I could do at home. Listened to one with Jim first and now one with Dan. I have read so much of Dan’s stuff over the last 5 years so it’s awesome to listen to him. Recently I have also started to get back into Christianity and love that it is incorporated here as well. I have yet to listen to anything on the podcast that is non-training related but will be diving in soon. Thank you for having this podcast. It’s everything I wanted and needed at this point of my life.

Paolo DiGiEclectic, and usefulPat Flynn is your source for Thomistic philosophy and kettlebells. While that’s not exactly the kind of combination of interests that you might expect from someone who might be described as a fitness guru, it matches my interests quite well. I do sometimes feel as though I sat down in the movie theatre 20 minutes after the movie started, and I am struggling to figure out how to get in sync. With his new minimalist program, I hope that I can get my footing, so that I can follow a schedule rather than dip into one of his workout publications and grabbing this or that exercise and trying it out. I will do the “Get Strong” program and report back. Thanks for all you do, Pat!

ShawnpattenWisdomThis has become my favorite podcast. Pat brings on high quality guests like Jim Madden, Dan John, and Geoff Neupert and has wonderful discussions on fitness. Highly entertaining and informative.
-
tonydattsDan John and Pat FlynnIf Nuggets of High Quality Strength and Conditioning Knowledge were nickels, Dan John would be Jeff Bezos and Pat Flynn would be Elon Musk. It’s highway robbery what insights these guys give away for FREE I’ve taken their knowledge, applied it to my training and consistently get results. Sub and Review this Pod

James J. O'BoyleIn Praise of Generalist UniversityPat’s podcast is a deep dive into the fundamentals and common sense cornerstones of health, fitness, and life in general. In our present-day state of information overload, his reminders to get back to the basics are essential.

seaweed88His Convos with Dan John are amazingI listen every week to his conversations with Dan John. Given the lockdown in CA, their weekly talks are an amazing way for me to feel like I am hanging out with friends. So much knowledge is shared every week

Lemuel K ToroDan John rocks!!!I know this is the “Pat Flynn Show,” but Dan John keeps me coming back!!!!

RoccCityHow is this free?!?I truly ask myself that every time I listen to this show. I’ve read many books and listened to a ton of audiobooks about fitness and nutrition, but none are as entertaining and easy to follow as this show. Pat and Dan have an incredibly way of presenting information and answering questions that help both build your foundation and stabilize what you already have in place. If you are looking for a podcast that doesn’t overcomplicate things and is almost therapeutic in a sense than this is for you. If you aren’t familiar with Pat Flynn and Dan John, they are pillars in the kettlebell world. The fact that you get to hear them discuss fitness on a weekly basis is an absolute blessing. Do yourself a favor and give this show a try.

Levi - WALove the blend of fitness and philosophyAbsolutely love this. I’ve seen a lot of fitness nuts philosophizing about the world (usually making us all dumber). But Pat seems to be a true generalist and is independently gifted at both fitness training and philosophy. I started out listening mostly to his fitness episodes, but am shifting more and more to his philosophy/religion insights. Definitely worth the listen. Covers a lot of ground. Never know what’s going to come up that you didn’t realize you needed to know until now!
-
Dr. B RayTons of infoI mean this in the best possible sense...this is one of the weirdest podcasts I’ve found. Pat is just as likely to drop health and fitness knowledge as he is to dive into metaphysics and religion. I can’t recommend this show enough. Absolutely phenomenal and intellectually stimulating.
-
Harris BenjaminLearn everything from this manPat has had an immense impact on how I think about and run my fitness business. His podcasts and emails are not just another piece of noise in the space, rather they’re an incredibly actionable set of steps towards getting better at anything.
-
Johnnyjemkins1646Fantastic PodcastHighly recommend the Pat Flynn Show. Not only do you get a variety of topics, from nutrition to exercise to philosophy to religion, but you walk away from each episode with practical concepts and ideas you can apply immediately to life and active pursuits. I have a strict discipline as to what I spend my time on as it relates to media consumption and the Pat Flynn Show makes the cut every time! Enjoy!
-
PB707Pat Flynn ShowOver the last couple years teis has become my favorite podcast. I think it started with an interview Dan John a few years ago, ( I still listen to their weekly talk) but it is the apologetics that keep me coming back. Pat's show over the last few months, speaking with various writers and professors has been excellent. There is a little something for everyone here but do yourslf a favor: if you are a gym rat, maybe listen to Sunday Schoo;, if you are a philosopher, consider learning to swing a kettlebell.
-
Kid GeezerThe Pat Flynn ShowI came for Dan John and I stayed for some of the philosophy and theology. Pat and Dan or Dan and Pat are two of the best people to listen to on physical training on the inter-webs out there. I would listen to either one of them alone but the two of them are great together. Their view of training and the world is not one dimensional but ties things together. It is real life for real people.

Janicep43If you needed to learn how to kick ass and be a good person, this is the podcast for you.I think I found Pat Flynn maybe about 5 years ago. I quickly became a fan in all of his writings, programs, books and now his podcast. He spoke to me in a way that made since in terms of fitness and health. He has even pushed me in the direction of starting my own journey to become a fitness trainer. Thanks Pat. Dan John and Aleks The Hebrew Hammer Slakin round out more awesomeness on this podcast. Dan has been a huge influence since I read his famous Overhead Squat article and found him on the Old School Strength Training Forum. However don’t sleep on Aleks, that guy is a Crusher and the gems he drops are worth the price, which is free, of admission. If you looking for a podcast on kettbells, calisthenics, nutrition, fat loss and just how to be an all around good human, check these guys out. Dave Phaup

One of Those PeopleLong time follower...Many years ago I ran across Pat Flynn on the innertubes and then learned of Dan John from him. In the time since I’ve picked up so much useful thinking on a whole continuum of topics from lifting to just living life as a human being. So this podcast is a thrill for me. Not only do I get Pat and Dan but a whole bunch of new people, like Aleks and Som, to listen to and learn from. Always fresh, always thoughtful and not full of a lot of too cool for you bs. Thanks Pat!
-
SpunkymisfitGreat show!I have followed Pat Flynn for some years now because of his kettlebell training. It only made sense to listen to the podcasts also. I really enjoy his clear, sinple approach to training and philosophical views. The podcasts with Dan John are some of my favorite ones. Listening to their conversation is always educational.

IluvmyzooNot Nuggets- BOULDERS of Wisdom from Pat and crew.Short review: Excellent podcast! Long review: I never listened to podcasts before quarantine but have long followed Pat for his kettlebell expertise and have also been to events to see Dan John speak so I figured ‘The Pat Flynn Show’ would be a good place to start. Good call. Listening has helped me fine tune my quarantine kettlebell workout program, it confirmed that adding a loaded backpack to my daily walking for 2 days a week is Dan John approved, and it has affirmed that some beliefs I’ve held about minimum effective dose for longevity are on point. Pat’s fitness episodes are fun and informative listens. He and Dan come across as good, common sense people. Listening to them is a pleasant way to learn useful things. Plus I really enjoy listening to the episodes with Aleks and Som for their additional perspectives on training and nutrition. I am glad that this podcast put them on my radar. So thank you Pat Flynn. I’ll keep listening and will talk you up to the uninitiated.

Rob's MindAwesome PodcastIn a time of craziness and confusion where very little seems to make sense, Pat Flynn's podcast has been a touchstone of sensible information. I especially enjoy Wednesday walks when I can listen to Pat and Dan John. Their guidance has been invaluable; insightful, informative, like friends around a table. Well done. Thank you!!

warren pease IISensible FitnessSolid advice that makes fitness and nutrition straight forward. I no longer do long complicated workouts. A couple of kettlebells was all I needed. I’m stronger at 61 than I was at 50. Conversations between Pat and Dan John are a not to be missed listening event.
