88mandabeLove the podcastGoing back to episode 24 I donāt think the spider bite is that far fetched I got bit when I was 17 and had a reaction to it and it wasnāt a poisonous spider but my arm swelled up so bad

annat7116Love it!Such a great show

Amy_K_AFacts are often wrongIām starting to notice that some information that Kay is relaying in these episodes are wrong. For example, in the Richard Carno episode It stated that there is a total of five children in the household. Kay case says that each person brought one child into the marriage and then they went on to have three children. She then goes on and on about how expensive childcare was for three small children. This is completely false. There were a total of three children. Richard had one biological son from her previous relationship. Susanne had one biological daughter from a previous relationship. Then Richard and Susanne adopted one baby boy the year before the murder. This was confirmed in Richardās obituary and the newspaper articles from the time of the murder and sentencing. I donāt think she does any real research. It seems like she may only be watching crime shows that twist the facts.

jesb16My go-to crime podcast! My husband and love this podcast!! Itās our go-to on road trips and when doing chores. I appreciate how much research Kay does and her story telling approach. Some podcasts with two people donāt have the best banter (clearly planned out responses) but John and Kay flow so well and Johnās responses are genuine because itās his first time hearing the case. I will say- we chuckle with the occasional editing mistakes. Happens to everyone. Keep up the good work!

ItsmejessCKay is amazingKayās research and storytelling is great. I just canāt handle John jumping in and mansplaining what sheās just said. And the comments like āWe need to find out who did this to find the killerāā¦.thank you John, great input. I like Kay but I canāt do it anymore š«£

CharlotteMeowFriendsIāll admit, I wasnāt expecting much from this podcastāor any podcast hosted by a couple. More often than not, the chemistry just isnāt there, and it ends up feeling forced. But this podcast completely proved me wrong. The hosts are not only charismatic but genuinely enjoyable to listen to. They present each story concisely and factually while weaving in just the right amount of personal anecdotes. It feels less like a typical true crime podcast and more like sitting with friends who happen to be great storytellers with great chemistry. Iām hooked! Congratulations on your baby girl.
-
obfus44Great podcastReally enjoying the research, the story telling and the banter - John and Kay play off each other very well - and love Johnās responses!
-
MylissaRCould be better. She stumbles through, reading with pauses and ums. The same sentence is often repeated without editing the mistaken one. Very poor editing. I listen when Iām caught up on other podcasts. They do cases I havenāt heard before and I like the format of hearing someone else listening and trying to figure it out. They seem like nice people, I wish I could rate this higher.
-
Nanabear/Mo.My favorite true crime couplešI really enjoy Kay and John they seem like they could be my neighbors they are down to earth and fun to listen to. Extra kudos to Kay for being an educatorāļø
-
beatriz1321Quality podcastI love this coupleās dynamic and how thoroughly they present each case. This is one of my go to podcasts and I always look forward to new episodes.
-
grammyAnn12Love the podcastGreat content but John you need to edit better. There are often repeated comments.
-
mom5132Just foundThese two are so relatable, sincere and passionate about getting these crimes out to the public. Iām only a few episodes in but am hooked already. Highly recommend š§” and have all these episodes to binge! Thank you Kay and John!!! Episode 113, so cute about your dad, Kayā£ļøā¤ļøš§”

ejureyUnique casesIām so glad I discovered this pod. Iāve listened to a LOT of true crime podcasts, and I find that these guys find cases that Iāve never heard about, which constantly surprises me. I like the flow, the reactions, the details. It feels natural and is easy to listen to. And I like how long and in-depth they are.
-
Hotrod&dolceI really like them!Very thorough. Iām into it and will keep listening. Please do a deep dive on Ellen Greenberg and would love your thoughts on Karen Read.
-
DianeCorreaLove this podcastVery thorough and enjoyable storytelling. Interesting and detailed cases. I like the mix of famous and not famous crimes. Iām glad I found you guys and will be joining Patreon.
-
FffggghhhhhhPlease. Fewer Captain Obvious commentsLove the podcast. Wondering if John can contribute in a different way than he does currently.
-
MyDog'sNameIsKiedisGood pacingJust randomly found this while searching about another case and listened to the Olathe episode. I love your pacing. It was easy to follow along even with small distractions while at work. Look forward to hearing more! (My bff was born in KS the day before the Duffield crimes)
-
GraceTooooEp150 Amy MullisI listened to the 911 call right after you brought it up. It wasnāt the best audio, but I DEF heard what you heardā¦not what they say he said. Working my way through all the old eps, and loving every minute! Congrats on the bĆ©bĆ© as well!!

Rat.quelš»More listener creepy stories, please. One of my top favorite true crime couple podcasts

TLeeKyleGreat showā¤ļø love it!!

KelskiddTCC = 100 percentI just recently discovered TCC, and I. Canāt. Stop. Listening. Great show, I love how K tells the stories and I love that John goes in blind! I feel like we are friends chatting about murder. One of the best true crime podcasts out there
-
Clb4211EliteOne of the best TC podcasts out there, ever. Incredibly well-researched, well-written, & well-delivered. I wish theyād get the recognition they deserve. Iāve been listening for years and find myself comparing to their content every time I hear a case retold by another podcast.

kaywil36THANK YOUKay and John, I have listened to you both for over a year now, and felt moved today to write a review. I love your story telling, and I relish in listening to John get better and better at deciphering the case with each new episode. Moreover, I think itās adorable how Kay seems genuinely excited and surprised each time John figures it out. Listening to you share about the last year, between your shared weight loss (congratulations!), and surgeries, something you said resonated deeply within me. I have suffered with a female problem being a primary care provider myself (which is only relevant because knowledge doesnāt take away uncertainty), along with the fear of making big and scary decisions on how to move forward. Hearing about how your, and Iām certain Johnās, incredible courage led you to move forward with these decisions, along with advocating for yourself, and now having the blessing of being able to conceive your baby girl, I feel a little less alone on my own journey. I honestly felt like crying on my walk when you shared. Thank you for doing that. Itās your story and you didnāt have to share, but you did, and if it did that for me, I can only imagine how youāve affected so many of the other women who share similar health struggles. God bless you both through your pregnancy and continued journey together!
-
Rae RiceTHE BEST!I usually donāt leave reviews on anything even when I really like it. Iām not sure why I guess I just donāt think about it. But I have to leave one for you guys. I have just discovered you and I am hooked and donāt listen to any others anymore. There are a lot of true crime podcast that are good but girls podcast I canāt get enough of! I absolutely love the fact that your husband and wife doing this together and youāre allās personality is infectious. I just have to say I drive for my job. Iām in the car a lot so I listen to you all the time and I will be honest when I say that I am treated like scum at my job so mentally every day Iām in a bad headspace when at work And since discovering your podcast, it makes me feel so much better and I can escape from the way, Iām treated at work and I thank you guys for that! Sorry this is so long but I needed to let you guys know (Iām sure you do) that youāre both amazing! Thank you for doing this podcast! Love you guys!
-
GoldenglammemeSeriously My favorite True Crime CoupleHappy New Year!! You guys are the best!! Love the podcast and canāt wait to see what 2025 brings!
-
paris4meSo happy I found you guys!So found you guys about a year ago and have been binging your podcast since. Iām all caught up. At the beginning was rough with the sound, but really liked how you told a story. I am now a loyal listener. Keep up the great work! You both rock š
-
klopazEpisode 194Thank you for this episode. I was just telling my family. Do you all remember the little girl who disappeared when we were in elementary school? This happened in my hometown and to hear the story just brought back so many memories and weāve been trying to remember this little girlās name.
-
cmdmcongrats!on becoming parentsā¦i really enjoy the format of your showā¦not that you asked, but as the parent of a boy and a girl, may i suggest that you are careful how your praise your child (and others)ā¦iāve notice that ppl will comment on my daughters looks but when commenting on my son, theyāll say how strong and smart he isā¦i think youāre going to be loving parents for lots of reasons, but mostly cuz your child is WANTED!
-
Uncle GonzoThe bestBy far my favorite true crime podcast. Kay is a natural storyteller. She has a way of writing the episodes that creates mystery about who done it. I enjoy that John doesnāt know anything about the cases, because I get to join him in his journey as we try to solve the case. Kay and John have a great chemistry together, and I bet it would be great to be their friends in real life.
-
Ellen0779My Favorite Podcast!John and Kay are amazing! They make you feel like youāre sitting right with them! So many true crime stories Iāve never heard, I love it! They are so cute, and add some laughs, but most of all the research is spot on. Thank you for spending your precious time with us, to bring us great true crime stories!!
-
CincodeMayo BrideLove this pod!I love how you cover lesser known cases. Theyāre always mind blowing with a twist. Johnās commentary is almost always what Iām actually thinking. He always has a fun fact or a piece of knowledge that helps the case. So glad I found this pod!
-
Jennmichmor06Can we be real life friends? šI seriously love yall. Kay, your research and care you put into these cases really shines through in your telling of the story. Such compassion. I love that John listens with us so we can all react together. His āred flagsā and āquestion marksā are hilarious sometimes. And while yall do get a little sidetracked at times, itās very rare. Thatās the hardest part about finding a true crime podcast youāre really into, because a lot of the others get so far off topic, you forget where the story even was. lol. Also, if yall do read these, pleaseeeee go to the Roy Melanson case right around the 1 hour in mark where yall are talking about rewatching Stranger Things and Kay chimes in and Johns just like, āyeah, but anywayā š¤£. I literally LOLād. So savage.
-
feefingirlIn-depth and respectful of victimsKay does her homework and offers a lot of detail that other podcasts donāt. She also gives lots of care and attention to the victims and their families in her accounting of these stories. I enjoy her storytelling and although sometimes I want John to stop theorizing so Kay can just get on with the story (lol sorry I still love you John), itās fun to hear him react as he is listening to it for the first time like the rest of us. Oh, and congrats on the baby!!
-
skullymommaGreat PodcastListening to Kay tell the story and waiting for Johns reactions is very entertaining. They are engaging and treat the victims with respect. Kay is a really good story teller. I especially love when John get fired up over injustices that may have happened. The Lisl Auman case is a particularly good case for this. If youāre looking for a true crime podcast give them a try you wonāt be disappointed.

RadiantjillCheck it out! Crime Drama at its bestI am a big fan of Crime Drama and have a few favorites. Thanks to Appleās algorithm this podcast was suggested, and it has been added to my FAVORITES!!! * The cases are riveting and varied * The storytelling style is well written and narrated perfectly by this couple. * There a few podcasts in which I have to Fast Forward just to get past stories of the moderators dog, vacation and other topics Iām not interested in. This podcast gets into the story immediately. * The balance between sticking to the story and also sharing a little about themselves makes listening inviting and friendly. Signed, My new favorite binge in the Sierras

-
KateraxeUgh.The editing is horrible - listen before you post/publish. The husband should limit the inane comments.
-
MishaMelson69Love but the ads are jarringThis is one of my favorite podcasts but the ads are SO loud. Itās like a jump scare when they come on. Iāll queue up like 15 hours of episodes while I sleep, but I canāt anymore. The ads are too loud and wake me up.
-
trucrimeLYFEsis10/10 recommend ;)y'all are my favorite couple to listen to when ut comes to true crime & i think its your chemistry with each other & how postive/light you guys try to keep the podcast! much needed some times. i'm not from the North but for some reason i just love your accents & could listen to you both for hours & hours :) huggss
-
LibbysgoodgirlFavorite PodcastI absolutely LOVE this podcast! Kay does such in depth research on each case and does such a great job telling the stories of the victims. John is just fun to listen to. He gets super involved in the story and I love listening to how interested he is in the lives of the victims and where he thinks the case is going. There is very little banter if any between each other that doesnāt involve the case. Thereās no 20 minute conversation between them before they start the telling of the case, they just get right into it. Which I really appreciate. It is very obvious how important it is to them to provide an excellent podcast that caters to all of their listeners needs. Iāve been binge listening to this podcast since Iāve discovered it a couple of weeks ago.
-
MsLewis19I love you guys!Girl, you are such a good storyteller! You guys are great together. I hope and pray that your real life and marriage mirrors your chemistry in the podcast!
-
Maggie from PAMuch love to these guysI listened to almost every episode this summer while working in an apple orchard. Thereās nothing better than listening to Kay and John tell scary stories while I work. Iām always looking behind my shoulder and jumping when the birds ruffle the tree branches around me. Thanks for all the work you do. Youāve been with me through many long days and I appreciate you both.
