SjsoonerBrutally HonestGrant and Lee do an informative and entertaining podcast. Both are smart and insightful, and I enjoy their commentary. I’m a long time listener. It’s obviously a lot more fun when the team is doing well, but I think both Grant and Lee mirror the ups and downs of being a true fan. One note of caution as a 61 year old fan who’s been a fan since the early 70’s, if you’re just negative, after a certain point, I just won’t listen. I went through the post Switzer era, obviously each coaching hire and staff put recruiting further in the hole. I share your doubts about Coach Venables, but I want him to succeed(as I know you guys do too). The current situation is more aligned to the Gary Gibbs teams, the 95-98 era was so much worse than our current situation.

G Swaggy BearThe honest version of Gabe and TeddyGrant and Lee do a fantastic job of giving honest and realistic views of the program and its on field performance. If you want sunshine pumping do not listen to any OU fan that lives in Minnesota, they don’t know what sunshine is. I use West of Everest to bring me back to reality after hearing all the hype from the other shows. Great insight into how OU compared to the rest of the SEC and CFB as a whole. I recommend then to any OU fan. Great work guys!

MarshbombOne of the few OU podcasts I still listen toOne of the few OU podcasts out there that doesn’t have ads which I love. Grant has very strong opinions and sometimes comes off as pretentious, but it works. Lee often disagrees with Grant, I’m not sure if the disagreements are 100% genuine, but it works.

The gamerskiDone with this oneThis podcast is gone too far downhill. The host is always unprepared. The unhappy, arrogant little guy is grating on the nerves. Outski.

Tim SmithsonBest OU Football PodI’ve been listening to Lee & Grant since right around when they started this pod and have always enjoyed their analysis of not just the Sooners but the CFB landscape as a whole. Easily the most objectively unbiased Oklahoma podcast you will find. These guys don’t sunshine pump the Sooners constantly, they see things for what they are and talk about them and as a big OU fan I appreciate that compared to some of the other OU podcasts out there. Hope you guys continue the show for years to come, keep up the good work!

Roving Fashion CriticWest of Everest ReviewI very much enjoy the podcast for several reasons and look forward to the pods release. Reasons to like: 1. Not much corniness like the scoop podcast. Lee and Grant get down to business. 2. Objective and no sunshine pumping. They call it as they see it. 3. Informative. Hope this pod continues well into the future.

Soonerborn777Excellent OU football podcastI’m an OU football podcast junky and this is one of the best. It makes those hour long drives to work much more enjoyable.
-
JT SoonerOne of my favorite Ou pods!Once you get used to Grant you’ll realize dude knows his stuff. Lee is great. Thanks for the Ou content fellas!!
-
Trying2FindANickmameExcellent contentLove the banter of two brothers, regular guys, going off on OU football, saying what we all think.
-
SoonerDoc1Top Tier OU PodOne of the best and most underrated OU podcasts. Lee and Grant are just regular OU fans like most of us talking about OU. Funny. Insightful. Guys have a great rapport as you would expect from siblings. Give it a listen!!
-
Mom of 4: 2 kids, 2 dogsA favoriteAlways look forward to this one. The dry humor, the sometimes painful, honest takes fans need to hear, the brotherly nuanced debates… it’s a gem.
-
Mark A92A Unique OU Football PodcastGrant and Lee do an excellent job of providing weekly podcast episodes. Lee (a former OKC sportscaster) along with his brother Grant (your average OU fanatic) often provide competing takes on all things OU football. Instead of regurgitating a weekly recruiting update from one of a few sources, they mostly stick to happenings with the team on and off the field. It’s a fantastic listen. -Mark

wvb wthis ucpuMost unique perspectiveI’ll be honest, it took me a while to warm up to Grant. However, now this is one of my favorite shows and I appreciate the candor he brings to the show.

Matt R. Z.Excellent PodcastI’ve been listening to this podcast for a number of years. The hosts are excellent at listener engagement and cover a lot of topics relevant to the fans.

Pirts McGurtsKeep up the good work LeeI generally enjoy the podcast a lot. I’ve been listening for awhile and have it in my rotation with a few other widely known Oklahoma football podcasts. I am quick to turn off podcasts that don’t keep my attention, as there is plenty of good content to consume in this big world. This pod has kept my attention. That said, I recently had to turn it off and am not sure if I will be coming back because of one specific recurring issue. Grant likes to dig his heels in occasionally on opinions that are objectively wrong. One example that comes to mind is the Iowa fair catch debacle. You could tell by the conversation that Lee had actually watched the play to form an opinion, one which I agreed with, yet Grant would have none of it. Wouldn’t even pause to go back and check that he might have missed something. This is just one example of Grant’s inability to concede an issue where he is obviously wrong to anyone with eyes. There have been many other instances but I don’t feel like writing them out here will provide any additional value. I want to come back, and again, I really generally enjoy the commentary. I also understand this is free, so who am I to complain about something that I do not pay for or contribute to in any manner. I get this, just wanted to let you know why I am taking a break from the show.
-
Natas46Great PodcastI have listened to the pod for a couple of years now. I enjoy the analysis and I also enjoy the consistency with which the podcasts are released. Keep up the good work and thank you both!
-
sooners1866Enjoy the PodcastGuys, I really enjoy your podcast. Was waiting for Grant to show some love for Marcus Major. Before the season he was so critical of him. Maybe RB1 before long. You guys are too hard on DG and the offense. I feel the offense has been very basic on purpose. Saturday I am expecting to see schemes and routes we have not seen yet. Keep it up. I’m glad it is back on Apple now.
-
pookie rayLeadershipGuys I really appreciate the podcast, I’m all in on OU sports and football in particular. I find it fascinating that you guys took time to discuss in-depth key points of the spring game. One point that I’d disagree is your take on BVs approach to motivating the fan base with “Boomer”as such. He’s been a Leader of men successfully for over 20 years, there’s more then one way to skin a cat and I’m sure that it’ll translate to his head coaching duties.

DrDave72Good podcastThis was a good podcast. Leaving dinner very good job and I had some very interesting information. His partner also has some good information but tending to talk to much, and interrupted o too much.. other than that, it was a enjoyable podcast and a good overall summary of the game. New Episode Again a good podcast. These two were very good today in this bye bye week episode. I liked their analysis and commentary, and they workrd well together. Great job!!! Jan 3, 2022 I’m probably more like Grant, in that I want players who feel like I do about the University. But I don’t think they do anymore. I do agree with Lee that if Caleb leaves OU will find a QB and be fine. I also think you all are putting more on Caleb than on others. Nobody on the team has said what they are doing , because they don’t have to. I believe Caleb will still be here in 2022. He’s done exactly ss he should so don’t give him such a hard time!
-
connor olsonnAwesomeLook forward to this podcast each episode throughout the season. Lee and Grant carry the spirit of OU football extremely well and I enjoy hearing their passion and takes!
-
Lamont Six No LowWest of Everest: An Oklahoma Football PodcastMy favorite OU football podcast. Nice balance of fandom and semi-objective reporting and analysis. I enjoy indulging my OU football passion with Lee and Grant and their "Fire and Ice" vibe.
-
Dime jejuneA Great Weekly ListenI have loved listening to this pod every week following OU games. Lee and Grant provide great in-depth analysis of each week’s games as well as a nice overview of college football nationwide, providing great insight into Oklahoma football. Thanks guys!
-
GuiltyFaceRecommendGreat podcast for fans of Sooners football. Highly recommend.
-
BlademastaGreat Football Takes, Awful Waffle TakesI about had to turn it off when he said he can “Leave syrup off waffles, but fruit is Elite” Nonetheless, I continue listening every week. Great podcast!
-
iBOOMiSOONLee is great. Drop Brent!I would have consider rating this podcast higher based on Lee’s fantastic journalist work and voice. However, as the saying goes “never mix business with family”. His brother Brent comes off as an obnoxiously negative Nancy. Half the time you feel like he’s not connected to the program with any true inside knowledge and is basically just talking crap from his … Go solo Lee, cut the dead weight.
-
Land-ThiefBoomer!!!Love That listening to two different views from two sets of eyes.
-
burntoutongreedyappsGreat podVery much enjoy the pod. I listen to several OU Football pods. And this is one of my favorites. Like other reviewers, I appreciate the format and content. Thanks for the entertainment!
-
catfish copConsistent and solid contentThese guys don’t do commercials or sponsors..they just love ou football. And they don’t waste a bunch of time on non-football stuff. We don’t have to jump ahead through 9 minutes of miscellaneous gunk to get to the football section. There are some hot takes and some hyperbole...but that’s how real fans talk. So..it’s a good coupla hours of ou football talk. And that’s good.

Kustang619Excellent Show!I love this podcast! I enjoy the depth of the content the show provides. The show offers great insight into OU football and is entertaining. I enjoy their 3 word reviews and hearing my name on the podcast when one of my reviews is selected to be read! As they mentioned on the last podcast, I do wish this show was produced twice a week rather than just once, but I’m sure they’ll add that second weekly episode soon! Great podcast!

19BATman90Great showLee and Grant are good at what they do. Love their work and appreciate the work they put in for some quality OU content
-
SoonerUSMCLee is great! Grant has the worst takes 😂Lee is top notch and is the only reason I listen every week. Grant has the worst takes and he’s passionate about them 😂. He’s the only reason I don’t give 5 ⭐️.
-
Mr. J 90Not worth listeningThey have no idea what they are talking about. They love to second guess things after the fact but all of their original takes are bad too. There are much better OU podcasts.
-
DW SoonerTop notch Sooner podcastThese guys know college football! The banter between Lee and Grant is great and often gives you a well-rounded view of the team from multiple perspectives. They’re not going to give you a whole lot of fluff, so be prepared to get right to the heart of what Sooner Nation needs to hear. Great job fellas, keep it up!
-
MyameatballOrganized and InformativeFun podcast about OU football where they obviously come prepared with notes. Lee is very professional and Grant provides sort of an edge to the show. So much better than the “drunk guy chats with his drunk friend” podcasts that are out there where they throw around profanity like it’s going out of style.
-
Jed CastlesMy favorite podcast to listen to each weekUnlike a lot of a lot of Sooner football podcasts, it’s a complete breakdown of the games and/or the team with no trash! Your not wasting your time while listening. Keep it up, Lee and Grant!
-
JRs BBQFun PodLee and Grant have a great back and forth as brothers going at it. Reminds me of me and my brother! They are both very knowledgeable and typically have differing points of view so you get to hear both sides of every argument. Keep up the good work. BOOMER!

Kendall08Let It Flow, Let It FlowLee, Grant, Love the pod. You guys are great. I am an avid follower throughout all platforms of media, social, Podcast and TV. The in depth knowledge you have surrounding the Oklahoma Football Program creates a podcast that entices me to want to continuously want more. I love the back and forth opinions. I listen to a dozen different pods throughout the week that fill my work day and when your opinions agree or disagree, it helps me create a better understanding of college football and all thing Oklahoma. Just let the opinions flow and create conversation. It makes for a great pod. And to caveat on to that, I will say that I do not mind one bit if the pod is more than an hour or even two hours. I’m not a fan of the two parts, but either way, I will not stop listening. The weekly postgame 3 Word Reviews is something I truly enjoy because of the interactions we are able to share. Thank you again, gentlemen. You’re great!!! BOOMER SOONER! Keep on rolling, (on four wheels)

Vitrvs Et HonestasGood detail and analysis that make for a unique showI listen to a lot of college football podcasts that are both national and specific to Oklahoma and this one as at the top of my list. Strengths/Pros - The analysis gives a unique insight into the the team’s play and the opponent. I like the breakdown of what the apparent strategies are and tendencies. Many podcasts are basically copies of each other just say the same things that we can read in any article about the team. This podcast does a better job of going beyond the most obvious stuff while admitting that Lee and Grant aren’t experts or program insiders. - The structure of the show is good in that you know what to expect and the segments are all pretty good. - The hosts strike a decent balance between being fans with opinions and intelligent people that can analyze the play on the field. They aren’t robots and they aren’t homers. They give more facts and observations than opinions but do give their thoughts and opinions. Areas for Improvement/Cons - Lee appears to be overly rigid and strict and can hamper the flow of the conversation. Often the conversation is engaging and Grant will have made a few good points and Lee’s response is to (awkwardly) move onto the next topic. I know Lee is the moderator which leaves Grant free to riff but Lee could use to relax a bit on pushing the show on and letting it be more organic. The tone is often that of a person who is presenting a topic that they feel is boring and are apologetic for taking their audience’s time. The show is great and you have something unique so let it flow and be confident that we want to hear it because we do. Podcasts can be turned off or fast forwarded anytime so we are not a captive audience. - Sometimes the brother dynamic can take over the arguments about things like what quarter a play happened in or who else was on the field can derail the point a bit. The topic is far more interesting than the random details and they usually have pretty decent takes. In general the pod is great. Keep the good stuff and let the conversation flow and it will get even better.

rocky mtn devilGrant is rightGrant has great points and sees through a lot of the normal media coverage. There is a definitely a PAC 12 bias and he’s 100% spot on with his argument. Not sure why his partner is so oblivious...
-
trevorhughes5 starsOne of my favorite ways to get OU football content during the work week. Tip for Grant: chill out. The tone in your voice seems like you’re always so angry and matter-of-fact. It’s not appealing and makes me hit the :15 button when you get going.
-
EmrickEyeGreat podGreat OU stuff here. I listen every week. They have good info and good insights.
-
Monsier Glissante2nd favorite OU PodcastThese guys do an excellent job covering Sooner football. They know what they’re talking about and have some personality (but don’t blast you with it either. I mean I’m not your kinfolk) anyway, They could use one more person on the podcast to do a little bit of recruiting stuff. (I’m here if you need me) but it’s well done overall. Listen all the time.
-
SOONERinseccountryGreat informative Oklahoma PodI listen to several Podcasts, and this one is one of my favorites. Great content with a good dash of “brotherly love”. Obviously if you don’t give a 5 star and throw out insults go back to listening to Finebaum and the espn Rat Poison.
-
sooner84Excellent OU podcastGrant and Lee produce an excellent podcast. They definitely try to balance their opinions, sometimes being overly critical. I get it, this team has broken our hearts before. All in all I enjoy listening and look forward to their takes on the Sooners.
-
kodacoonBest OU podcastThis is my favorite OU podcast. I love the banter and how in depth they go. Keep up the good work!
-
Jack W. ArmstrongBest Preview/Recap Sooner PodcastThese guys make two great podcasts each week. They dive in pretty deep into OU schematics and opponent schematics, and are able to keep it entertaining at the same time. Keep it up guys. (Btw keep up the hot takes Grant, reminds me of Eddie at SoonerScoop. You’re just going to make the olds mad)
-
JB YukonSolid contentKeep up the good work guys. Lee has to stay a little too buttoned up for my taste because of the day job, and I appreciate that Grant will run a bit more out there with his takes. Thanks for what you do!
