I have been subscribed since 2018 and listening since, uh… 2021? Finally finished all the episodes so I feel able to actually offer a review that is not months behind the times. This is the only podcast I ever actually have listened to, and it’s great when NPR isn’t talking about interesting things. Science and cryptids and amusing portmanteaux are all fun topics for listening and learning and Wyatt and Jake do an excellent job with them. Wyatt and I have terrifyingly similar senses of humor so while in the car I sometimes finish the joke he’s setting up before he gets there on the recording.

So I only downloaded this app again to say how great this podcast is! Jake and Wyatt have a great rapport and I love how they tie science into stories of the supernatural and strange. I have gotten deep into podcasts since the pandemic began and honestly was having a difficult time of finding something with a good balance that I enjoyed and I was thrilled to come across this, thank you guys for your content and sharing your perspectives! :D

I can't thank Jake and Wyatt enough for this show. We all know the show is fun, lighthearted, and packed full of sciencey goodness, but the incredible PANDER machine has saved my life on several occasions. There are terrible beasts everywhere, and knowledge is power againt them. You two are doing the Lord's work.

#1000% Cool Fantastic show, seriously give a few episodes a listen. Two friends, who get easily scared, talk about creepy crawlies, ghosts, ETs and more, then try to explain what might have happened to give people those experiences. Over the course of the show they add in a few recurring segments that are super fun. You also get to see the friendship these two have which is so fun. If you are looking for a spooky show that doesn’t take themselves to seriously and doesn’t put down the experiences people have give this a listen.

I love this show, Jake and Wyatt are hilarious and remind me of some of my closest friends. They are fair with their skepticism and still honest about the things that creep them out! They make me want to go explore New England and they do an amazing job of explaining the science behind the unexplained!!

Found this podcast through Real Life Ghost Stories and I will be forever grateful. So funny in a really goofy and nerdy way, and with scientific facts to boost. I listen to this while making rugs and they have me in stitches (rug pun intended). Yeah, sorry about that.

Real life ghost stories had this podcast on a list of recommended podcasts, and I recently switched to an overnight stocking position at my job and wanted something good to listen to while I worked. I love this podcast, it’s funny and informative and I love the debunking of some of these tales. I’m still working my way through the 2019 section but so far it’s been an amazing podcast!! The hosts have a great flow together and having me laughing in every episode all while incorporating the creepy and fascinating. 10/10 Recommend if you’re into the paranormal and the debunking of paranormal events and creatures.

This is hands down the funniest podcast I’ve ever listened to. Jake and Wyatt have the best sense of humor and add magically comical commentary to each of the stories they present. Favorite episode is “Getting Jack’d!” I couldn’t stop giggling while listen to Wyatt describe Spring Heel’d Jack’s mode of locomotion!!! Keep up all the silly spooks, gents!

I started listening after Real Life Ghost Stories Pod recommended it. These guys are funny, entertaining, and informative. The nerdy science parts are easy to understand (even for an arts major like me). I also find myself humming the theme song throughout the day. The episode about caves is the one I like the most so far.

This delightful podcast is cohosted by two learned and funny scientists who share a fascination for all things spooky. To know this podcast is to love it, so do your earballs a favor and give it a listen. Enjoy!

I found this podcast after listening to RLGS, and I can’t thank Emma and Dan enough! Between these two shows, my happy listening cup overfloweth! Jake and Wyatt are smart and hilarious. I love how they come up with new ways of pronouncing names and words. I love all the scared noises they make when talking about creepy stuff. Congrats to Wyatt on the PhD! I hope this podcast goes on and on and on!

Before listening to Superduperstitious, I was stupid, unemployed and couldn’t get a date to save my life. People would come up to me and ask “what are you doing here?! How did you get into this church again?! We thought you were banned?!” Basically before this podcast, my life was a terrible, sad mess. Then one day as I was scrolling through the podcast app on the test android phone in Walmart (basically the only place that still welcomed me in), I saw the longest word I had ever seen in my life. I was only trying to find Oprah ghost stories, but this word amazed my stupid mind. I thought to myself, whoever can spell and pronounce this word must be genius, possibly a wizard too. Walmart security was really lax back then, so I clicked the first episode and listened right there. MY MIND CAME ALIVE! Neurons were firing left, right and backwards!!! The power of Jake and Wyatts voices ALONE performed surgery, completely rewiring my idiot brain, made my hair super shiny and my boobs finally grew, ultimately saving my life. Since that fateful day, I was gifted the mega millions winning lottery ticket. Now that I’ll never have to work another day in my life, I’ve been free to pursue my passions. I’ve passed the boards to become the top rodent heart surgeon in the world and performed a life saving procedure to Punxsutawney Phil, essentially saving spring. I’ve written the only existing prequel and sequel to the Bible that’s been approved by the Pope. Michelle Obama now calls me for fashion advice and follows the diet and exercise plan my doctor brian invented. Most importantly, after becoming the only brand ambassador for The Queen of England, I met the love of my life. Idris Elba and I are officially going to be wed on Chrissy Teigen and John Legends private island this Valentine’s Day. If didn’t listen to Jake and Wyatts podcast EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. there’s no question that I’d be dead on the side of the road. This podcast is the only reason my life isn’t in the gutter and I can guarantee listening to it EVERY DAY will change your life forever. I was definitely having a third-January-of-the-year kind of day, and was SO HAPPY to see an episode waiting in my library queue! The hosts are awesome, fun, and the variety of topics are always entertaining!!

This podcast is an absolute favorite of mine, with funny intelligent hosts, spooky stories, and a dash of scientific theory to keep the nightmares at bay. Plus, you’ll probably learn something! The segments for beer reviews and Tales from the Borderlands are especially fun, not to mention if you support them on patreon they will feature you in the P.A.N.D.E.R. segment and warn which cryptic you specifically should be on the lookout for. Very relistenable, also the merch is very well designed 🥰

This podcast is in my top 5 and I always look forward to new episodes. Good humor, healthy skepticism, and on-point nerdity highlight interesting subject matter. Highly recommend (and apologize for not reviewing sooner, I’ve been listening forever)!

I heard about this podcast on Real Life Ghost Stories and have been bingeing it all week! I like that the hosts are skeptics, but still gentle about it. No ridicule and not bro-y. Just fun stories and interesting discussions with raised eyebrows. The sound quality is great too, which is always nice. A+

I stumbled upon this podcast completely by accident and after listening to the first episode, I was hooked! The perfect mix of spooky stories, science, and humor 👌🏼

I found out about this podcast from Emma and Dan at Real Life Ghost Stories, and I was not led astray. After listening to the first episode, I was hooked and ended up binge-listening to all 108 currently available episodes in just under a week. Hosts, Jake and Wyatt, are absolute gems. The delightful pair have wonderful chemistry and the kind of sarcastic humor that has made me laugh out loud at 3 am while the rest of the house was trying to sleep, while still being able to break down scientific explanations in a way that is easy to understand. 10/10 would recommend if you are into the paranormal topics, but are tired of digging through ancient aliens conspiracy theories and watching grown men lose their minds over the static cacophony of a bad radio signal. Also, the two get so excited over beer and bees, and I find that precious.

Informative without being dauntingly scholarly. Accessible and engaging. Hosts are not over critical or negative about the topics they discuss, so it should not alienate most of those who “want to believe”. Funny and thought provoking. Occasionally rambling but they stick to the topic better than many discussion-style podcasts.

These guys are frickin hilarious. It quickly turned into one of my faves. I love that they love creepy stuff but approach it with a logical approach but not bashing on the stories or believers. AND they’re super funny! Definitely the type of guys I’d be friends with! LOVE IT 🤩

Heard about this show from Rude tales of Magic, (also a very good show to check out) started listening couldn’t stop and now about half way through the back catalogue baybee. The science boys seem nice, the show is very funny and laidback which I appreciate and my Vermonter heart loves the local New England content. Keep the spooks up!

Not sure if I would rather listen to these guys talk about cryptids or talk about evolutionary biology. Either way, it had better be over beer. I have yet to find a different show where the hosts are equally as smart, funny, and genuinely don’t care who listens to the show because it truly seems as if they just enjoy talking about these weird topics. All I know Is if I could have a beer with any podcast hosts... It would be Jake and Wyatt.

Superduperstitious keeps me entertained as well as learning new things about the science of the Supernatural and science in general. If you find yourself bored or frustrated with other podcasts this is the one for you. The episodes are funny and extremely well researched and sourced. After listening to Real Life Ghost Stories podcast I had a hard time looking for something similar. When I found these guys I was relieved. They are goofy and entertaining which I enjoy when hearing creepy stories. I like their segments like “the phantom of Chicago “ and I like the beer reviews. I would recommend listening to if you are interested in the paranormal but also looking for scientific explanations.

These two guys present some very creepy real life stories and muse over possible explanations for them while drinking beer and cracking jokes. They're often hilarious, and I relish when Wyatt gets really creeped out. If you like the podcast Real Life Ghost Stories, you'll like this one too.

I love listening to this podcast and look forward to each new episode. Jake and Wyatt are not only entertaining but smart as hell! Their knowledge of the science and banter about the strange make for an enjoyable listen!

Jake and Wyatt make one hell of a podcast. It’s the perfect blend of horror, humor, and science. Hearing the intro song always brings a smile to my dumb face. Flesh-like

Jake and Wyatt do a great job of presenting paranormal topics — from ghosts to cryptozoology to “ancient aliens” — and, then, apply science to get to the truth. (Sometimes even with the surprising result of plausibility.) Definitely worth a listen.

But I am a little stitious. And these guys make a great podcast!

This lighthearted and informative podcast is one of my favorites. If you're a fan of stories and/or science you'll enjoy these weekly forays into the supernatural realm. And who knows...if you're not careful you might even learn something!
