Whether it’s her cadence or her live contemplation or her love for fun stats I’m not sure but whatever it was made me become a huge fan of the podcast. Slowly it seems she’s been replaced, I will not return until Jill does!

Jill is the definitive expert on Kings FO structure , staff and coaches . She is great at researching coaches , assistants , scouts etc etc and is a must listen for any Kings fan imo .

So I’m clearly a fan of Jill’s meticulous brand of research-based insight but the production needs a bit of work. It’s a bit rough with the intro and the transition but that ultimately doesn’t matter to me because the substance is great.

Jill is great. Love her insight. She clearly loves this team, but does a great job not letting her fandom jade her takes. Sam kinda has no idea what he’s talking about

I haven’t heard Damion in a while. After KHTK fired Grant, not giving him a chance to apologize or explain, I stopped listening to terrestrial radio. I found this podcast that is done immediately after games. I like their incites, and knowledge of the Sacramento Kings.

Damian and Jill are the best. Always insightful with detailed and nuanced convos about the status of the team. Love it.

Love the Hoop Ball coverage but the sound quality is not great compared to “the podcast” or the Duece and Mo show. Can that get cleaned up?

The Hoopball podcast was unlistenable before they hired Damien Barling. Now it is easily the best Kings podcast, and it isn’t even close. Great job by him.

This show is too boring! You need more guest appearances and get other people’s opinions on the game and players. Not into just hearing what you think about the games. Podcasts are more of a discussion with someone as well. Damien is smart and knows his Kings. It’s not all his fault I understand, we just need interviews with people like maybe James Ham, or Grant, or just anyone inside the kings originization

Damien is awesome, win or lose! Super insightful and very opinionated. Keeping it real and always getting an honest assessment. Even when the Kings lose, sorry Damien, I listen to the episode at 1/2 speed and Damien sounds like he is coming onto the podcast angry after some heavy drinking during the Kings game. Never a dull moment with this podcast. Keep it going Damien!!!

Damien always keeps it real! Very easy to listen to and extremely knowledgeable. He doesn’t try to sugar coat his takes or opinions like a lot of the local media does, and that’s refreshing! His authenticity is what keeps me following his career, plus he’s just flat out a good dude. Keep it up brother!!

Damien gives unbiased, honest opinions immediately following most games. Being a fan for a couple of years initially on radio and then following him to his daily podcast, I was excited to hear a King’s only pod with the coach’s presser included after the game. I encourage you to give it a listen, it’s quality content.

Damien does great work, and the Kings are constantly showing the good and bad, which is what makes for great content to disect on a day-to-day basis. He may not show up every moment, but Damien is still worth following on what is bound to be a crazy ride this season in Sacramento.

This Kings podcast is great! It reminds me of the old days in the early 2000’s when I would listen to Kings post game talks. Those were some of the best sports times for me. And Damien really brings that nostalgia back!

I really enjoy Damian’s takes. He explores all sides of Kings related topics and he keeps it real.

There’s real knowledge of the team. There’s a realistic but optimistic angle. It’s sweet.

I listen to A LOT of sports podcasts. Woj, Bill Simmons, Locked On Kings. This is by far my favorite one. I listen on Spotify but had to find a way to review it and let the public know. HOOP BALL IS THE BEST KINGS/SPORTS PODCAST OUT THERE. I am a diehard Kings fan and this is the first one I have found that gets me excited for the next episode to drop. Highly Recommend. I gave this podcast five stars. I had to. If I didn't Damien threatned to drag my fat butt down to Gamefit and force me to work out.

I've already been recommending this to other Kings fans. For years I was jealous of other fan bases who had professional level team specific podcasts, I am jealous no longer. With studio quality audio, a consistent release schedule and a professional behind the mic this is a must-listen. The added bonus of having Bruski on every once in a while is great too, but week-in week-out this show has been great and even though I am a bigtime Kings homer I prefer to listen to a show that isn't 110% in the bag for the Kings. This checks all boxes. Go Kings.

I wanted to listen to a few episodes before I wrote a review and I can honestly say that it’s a must listen for all Kings’ fans. Damien tackles all subjects related to the Kings from a neutral perspective, which I really appreciate. There are a lot of podcasts out there, but what separates Damien from the rest is that he isn’t afraid to discuss topics that others tend to shy away from. I definitely recommend giving this podcast a shot. 👍
