tygroomWay to much random banter and gigglesTried listening but it’s more like buddies just rambling what they know. I like the idea a lot but after 1 episode I just can’t do it.
-
cbacchettiFun and informativeNew listener here. I’ve only listened to a handful of episodes so far (jumping around out of sequence) but I find the topics fascinating and well researched. I knew when I heard a Dennis Reynolds’s reference in the Saltan Sea episode, it was a winner.

RolthToo many ads and off-topic rantsJust as it says. 11 minutes of ads for less than 30 minutes of content is the worst. I’m still in the 2019 episodes so this might get better, but for not I spend way too much time skipping ads. Also, Ben needs to learn to breath quieter and less often. He one word between his very loud intakes just makes me cringe.

Pb#1Podcast on hot sauce.Decided to listen to this podcast after ad on radio. Picked the podcast on hot sauce. I struggled through listening as the hosts worked too hard to be funny, and they weren’t. l reached my limit when they had to interject their ‘wokeness’ when they asked if the owners of Tobasco have apologized for the original creators of Tobasco having slaves!! Are you kidding!! You are not perfect so stop being high and mighty. Just tell the history of hot sauce. Ridiculous is a good name as this podcast is ridiculously non-entertaining.

not happy psss offMehWhile the topics can be interesting, the podcasters are boing and dry.

sicntired101Fun podcastI love this podcast it’s fun and informative. I like that they keep it light with humor.

Margaret CAMeh 🫤I REALLY wanted to love this podcast but I didn't. The hosts are likable, knowledgeable, and both have beautiful voices with deep rich tones. But... way too much idle chatter without much substance, yes there are a few great nuggets but not enough for me. Perhaps I will revisit this podcast in the future and see if I feel differently

jcooibtryRamblingI wanted so much to like this podcast, Sometimes the subject matter is something I would find interesting… But I can’t take much of these guys. They ramble like mice on crack. Just everywhere , all over the map. Eventually, they find their way back to the subject matter, but I do t have the patience. 80% rambling garbage. 20% actual history
-
KjsalmonMaking history fun!I enjoy how Ben and Noel tell the story with enthusiasm and gusto. Never a dull moment here.
-
pleasekillmrxDMake PremiumI love this podcast! especially because it helps me fall asleep at night. Please make a premium option to listen without ads. I will be dosing off then be woken up by an ad
-
MSB...Fun folkloreEnjoyed episode on Krampus and all the nuance of his creation and celebrations. Thanks’

-
ChrisStewardAlways EntertainingEven when it’s a topic I’m not interested in, I’m listening to the episode because these guys keep me laughing and learning. Appreciate y’all, Noel, Ben, and Max!
-
Squeak87401Informative and LightheartedI have been listening for a long time. I enjoy history and enjoy information with the lighthearted banter.
-
Cpotter12LOVE the topics!I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast! Great topics! Just wish they would go a little more in depth on the topics.
-
k CruisesSeriouslyThey literally just reposted the shows again and again
-
jskislyGood show, many tangentsIf they could stay focused on the topic it would easily be 5 stars. Great content, but only half of the show is the actual content.
-
christianjones57Muskegon, MichiganMa-SKEE-gan I grew up here and it’s so painful listening to y’all pronounce it 😂😂 love the podcast but ickk lol
-
TheWarthogCould be great…If it wasn’t for the mindless prattle.
-
tydowns20Awful. Just get to the topic.6 min into the basketball podcast (my first one) and they haven't even started talking about it. Just stop the jibber jabbing and do the show, nobody wants to hear random things about other people named Naismith.
-
sparkles45Too WokeToo many long ads
-
DrSayGreat show, recommendedI really enjoy the style - interwoven with the topic are asides, quasi-related banter and tangents that add color to the conversation. The topics they select are diverse and interesting, and I always learn something from each episode. There are a lot of ads but I fast forward through em. The fact that the woke whiners seem to somehow be triggered by it is just a bonus.
-
BelzurkerGreat content. Too many commercialsGreat content. Too many commercials.

Frye WolfsonHella funnyGreat show.

IdiocricyQuote/unquotePlease start quoting things properly. You are perpetuating the stupidity of America. Also stop pluralizing the word, “regard”. As in, “in regards to anything”. It’s regard, singular, always in this situation.
-
Cutting Edge Custom LawncareHistory of Hip-Hop and the FBIGood episode. Definitely should continue/do an episode like this but involving Eminem
-
GetExcited11Lots of talk no history.Stupid running tangent conversations that nobody cares about and repetitive big language words. I gave it an episode.
-
BeckyJ_124Wish they’d stick to the topicI really tried to like this podcast, the concept is cool. But the few episodes I listened to could very easily have been a fraction of the length. Way too many unrelated tangents.
-
SeriouslyrukmWas BetterI’ve been listening since the beginning, but I find I’m often annoyed with the silly sound effects and constant references to movies that seem unrelated. Maybe I’m not your demographic. I used to anxiously wait for new episodes, but now listen when I’m caught up with my other podcasts.
-
TiffanySillGood but probably won’t stick aroundThe info is good, I like the format, but there are so many ads. I watched the first 30 minute episode, it had like 4 ads every ad break and there were like 3 or 4 breaks. Nah. Too many for me. I’m not picky about ads, but this is too much.
-
dr memory 62Matchbox cars!Fascinating episode. Loved me some Matchbox way back when.
-
Dot Dot Dot 1# FanPoor EditingI have no issue with ads (especially since it’s easy enough to skip ahead on here), but lately the way the ads have been edited into each episode is horrible. They will cut away halfway through a conversation, play 3 minutes of ads (which are done by the hosts, so it’s tough to tell when it’s back to the episode), and then drop the listener right back into the middle of the conversation after the ads are done. And this happens multiple times an episode. I have no issue with ads, but if you’re going to have so many could you at least edit them around the episode.

Person1234782Muzzle MaxI cringe every time Max opens his mouth. Can you please keep him quiet, thx
-
magaoingoGood Research and EntertainingFinally found another interesting podcast to add to my library.
-
K PiperInteresting Topics Poor DeliveryThey cram 10 minutes of material into 40 minutes. Very boring to listen to as they Constantly chatter without any real content. It sounds like a couple of guys at your work that are supposed to be working but they just talk and you have to work around them. I found myself quit bored and frustrated that they can’t seem to stay on topic without weird illustrations and comments that distract from what they are saying. I think it would be easier just to look it up myself.
-
Otolith 2000Fun HistoryI'm enjoying this podcast. This podcast and Stuff You Missed in History Class always manage to find interesting tidbits from history that I'd never heard before. Even the silly voices are amusing and usually I don't like actors being used in podcasts. PS: Oh wait! They too woke! Boohoo my butt hurts! Gonna give'em one star!!! LOL
-
ActionFigCould be goodSubject matter and information is really good, but the put on voices make listening unbearable. Just talk and tell the story.
-
ccamp71176Gone too wokeI used to really like this podcast, but it has become so woke it’s now unlistenable.
-
Quincy BJJ[sigh] Another great concept for a podcast ruined by wokeism. Please stick to what you’re good at, writing and narrating a certain topic. Going woke and pushing a political agenda is just disappointing for a podcast that should be about adding an entertaining spin on historical events.
-
mynameismudd1Most Ridiculous Job Titles? Most Ridiculous Job Titles through history.

ItskthoYou got a little podcast in your adsI typically love learning about history because of the stories they tell. I was excited to give Ridiculous History a listen. An hour later, I was disappointed with how little I learned. All I remember are ads. Seemingly every few minutes. Even when reciting information within the actual podcast portion, it’s immediately followed by an ad for the true source of the information. I’m all for citing your sources, but I failed to get invested within whatever story the show was trying to tell due to the amount of ads injected in it. I write this not to seem overly critical, but I’m hopes you better the format. It’s a good idea for a podcast!
-
BsargeeWoke History is RidiculousJudging yesterday’s history by today’s evolved cultural standards makes for some ridiculous history. This podcast joins a long line of woke podcasts, that go out of their way to be more like everyone else than anyone else. If you’re into historical apologists, than this podcast is for you. These self loathing white guys go out of their way to promote reverse racism every chance they get.
-
Readeroo53Needs better fact checkingThe topics are interesting and the guys are engaging, but the fact checking is just plain lazy. In the episode on William A. Mitchell, they repeat that tired old chestnut about cake mix makers requiring consumers to add an egg to make it feel like they were actually cooking. Today I listened to the laugh track episode, and they made out like Lucky Louie was the last show to use a laugh track unironically—as if The Big Bang Theory hadn’t used it up to 2019. And if you’re going to bring M*A*S*H into the discussion, at least know that it was set in Korea, not Vietnam. When I’m listening to an episode on something I know nothing about, how can I have any confidence that I’m getting accurate information?
-
austincwrAd-heavySo many commercials that it’s hard to listen to and follow the story they’re trying to tell. Probably could have avoided making 2-part stories if they cut back on the ads.
-
blueticktock2nd hand embarrassmentThese guys have no clue what they are talking about… very stupid. Deleted!! 👎🏻
-
MangoTheGoatBeen going downhillUsed to be good. Lately there is way too much dumb yap, even off topic. Too much rambling before coming back to the topic. This Max guy has a bad lisp which sounds just awful. The commercial breaks occur at really odd times.
