I loved today’s episode with Dr Taffe about Jane Boleyn. He sounded like a friend you’d have coffee with where deep conversation occurs organically. I’m sorry that he has to defend himself of being accused of misogyny, but he explained his perception and with much respect. It’s clear that he takes his studies seriously and I hope others pick up on that too. I am definitely getting the book. Truth be told, my personal library is expanding with every episode. Thank you for another enlightening podcast.

I absolutely love history. I wanted to love this podcast, but I cannot stand listening to the narrators voice. It sounds whiny and babyish. I’ve tried three or four times to listen, but I just can’t.

Been a listener for a few years now and this podcast continues to get better over time. The quality of the guests is superb and the discussion topics are fascinating with something for everyone and all interest levels. It has introduced me to a number of historians, books, and travel ideas (wolf hall weekend!).

Sorry but the host put me to sleep. I almost didn’t understand him when he was talking about Wolf Hall sounded like “woof har” Anyway - content is good but he’s slow speaking

I love this podcast. The host is interesting and a well informed and excellent with guest. She has wonderful humor that on par with her easy to digest scholarship. It’s fun to learn this way.

I listen to a wide range of historical podcasts, being a mother of 3 I don’t have a lot of time to read. Of about 30 that I’ve finished so far, there has only been one that I didn’t finish. I throughly enjoy this podcast

Thank you for finding all those “juicy” details on one of the most fascinating dynasties. Any idea if you may create something about some other famous European families?

the episode about Anne Boleyn with Prof John Guy and Julia Fox was unbearable because Prof. Guy rudely dominated the discussion and talked over Julia Fox EVERY time she tried to speak. He interrupted her whenever she managed to get a few words in, and then veered way off topic, pompously running on just to hear himself speak. Please ask your guests to respect their co-guests, and please edit the podcast! Love the topic but had to stop listening.

Please, if you’re going to discuss historical figures, pronounce their names/titles correctly. Princes in the Tower episode- Gloucester is not pronounced “Glowster”, it’s “Gloster”.

I have to agree with reviews that have commented on the banal content - the text is full of clichés that are repeated over and over again (how many times in a single episode can you mention ‘the tapestry of time’???) and the narration is madly uninspiring. Hard to believe this podcast is getting listed alongside podcasts by actual historians.

I have to admit that my interest in The Tudors began years ago with “The Tudors” on Showtime. Yeah, I know, full of inaccuracies! That’s ok! I think it’s one of the best shows about this subject and if nothing else brought many people to learn about this point in history. I really enjoy the Tudors Dynasty podcast. The hosts present a great variety of topics in an entertaining, unpretentious way. The interviews they conduct are on point and thoughtful. Keep up the good work Rebecca, Steph, and all the rest!

Great guest that she kept interrupting. Almost trying to correct him. She went on about a crown insisting it was an imperial crown until he finally had to correct her. Then went on and on about inane points and he never really was able to get the story moving. She says “Tell me more about…” and then interrupts. I had to turn it off.

The 45 minute Anne of Cleves episode literally taught me nothing about Anne of Cleves.

This was a fascinating listen. Thank you for sharing this story.

Love Tudor history, but listening to this feels like I’m sitting in a 7th grade middle school class while an awkward teenager reads from their report. I just can’t enjoy the content when it’s so poorly executed.

If you love learning about the fascinating details of Tudor history, you should definitely listen to this podcast. The host, her team and guests are really great in all of the topics and figures that they discuss. Most importantly, their incredible knowledge and passion for the Tudors is so engaging and has made me explore this period so much more on my own. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this discussion of the evolving, (slowly) portrayal of Mary. One question the presenters considered was why is this change occurring now. It may be for several reasons having to do with popular perceptions. Audiences may be getting tired of Elizabeth. We have seen a rise in films about forgotten, marginalized or wrongly depicted persons. Mary fits that. Also, the Me Too movement might explain some of the emerging change about Mary. I hope we can look forward to a great screen portrayal of Mary, based on good research, screenwriting, directing and acting. This podcast shows that Mary more than deserves a revision of long held views of her.

I enjoy this topic but the narrator is dreadful. Her grating voice and sing-songy style make this podcast a difficult listen for me

Tudors Dynasty podcast was the very first podcast I listened to and I was hooked from day one. Not only is the content informative, it’s fun. It makes you want to know even more about the fabulous Tudor era. The hosts are wonderful and they always have the best content. I cannot more highly recommend this show!

This podcast is the best podcast I’ve ever listen to! I absolutely love the tutor era, and my favorite episodes are the ones where Stephanie is the one interviewing experts.

… it should be called “the women of the Tudors.” It would be much preferable to putting the entire cast of historical figures (men and women) into context and tell how their lives shaped, or were shaped by, the times they lived.

Overpowering and hurtful to my ears. A lot of people are sensitive to conflicting sounds, such as voiceover and loud background music. I was excited when I found your podcast on google but you’ve ruined it by trying to be fancy and extra.

The guest speakers are extremely great and knowledgeable in their subject. Just when I thought I knew quite a bit of Tudors… I keep learning more! Love that we the listeners can submit questions that will be potentially asked to the guest!

I am a history buff and specifically love the Tudor period of English history. A few years ago I found out that on both sides of my family have relations on the Lancastrian and York sides. So the entire time period is very interesting to my 9 year old and myself. We get glimpses of our distant past within the talks on your show. Thank you for bringing this to us to enjoy.

I stumbled across this podcast looking for one about Mary Queen of Scots and just WOW! Rebecca and her guests makes learning about English history (more specifically the Tudor Dynasty) so interesting! I am such a curious person and when I hone in on a topic I want to know everything, like what did they eat and drink? What was their medicine like? Rebecca covers all these fun facts. This is an excellent podcast!

Truly a gem! I look forward to new episodes every week. The content is always intriguing and even if I feel I know a lot on the subject I always walk away having learned something new. It’s so nice to find a community who loves Tudor history as much as I do.

Tudor Dynasty podcast is my favorite podcast to listen to…I have always found English “royalty” to be fascinating. Rebecca and Steph “read” my mind with questions, topics and discussions. Just listen to a couple podcasts even if you don’t know who the Tudors are (surprisingly, many Americans don’t) and you will find a new interest to fill your time!

I love this well researched podcast and the incredible lineup of guests! Each episode is a treasure. I adore the American pronunciations, which are the correct pronunciations coming from an American host. Keep up the good work, ladies.

I have been a tutor nerd for sometime now am I good friend turn me onto this podcast! We were already planning a trip to England and we really want to go on a specifically Tudor tour. I listen to a lot of historical podcasts, but this is my favorite. I love the topics covered, the experts interviewed and the format of the show. It’s fantastic. I typically have to listen to it with a notebook nearby because I always have a page of notes about topics I want to learn more about. If you love the Tudors, you will love this podcast!
