As others have mentioned, new episodes are marked “played” on the iPhone Podcasts app, meaning they are not included on the Up Next page. If you want to listen, you must search or go to the Library page, or the actual show page to find it. Because of this, I’m not likely to likely to catch it, even though I do like the short headline format of this podcast.

UPDATE it’s been better for a while but still not where it should be. Audio levels are uneven with the ads being much louder than the podcast itself and, for some reason, the latest episode shows as 2 seconds long (and is) on the iPadOS podcast app. My previous review. It’s been playing old news for days. ABC News needs to up their podcast budget. Ever since the Elonification of Twitter, podcasts are practically the only way I get my news these days. Please fix!

This App is a great way to get the latest news on events and issues that matter to me. Very clear and articulate delivery by Mike D.

Do you realize by replacing the podcast and not just adding a new one each time, you do not show up in my updates to new to new podcasts? You have a great podcast but I forget about it because you don’t show up in my latest podcasts feed.

Seems like it is updating now, but 2 stories were cut short and one was interrupted by a comercial

An hourly update newscast that will not give the hourly update? When I ask HomePod it just says something went wrong. When I try to play it through my phone it thinks I have already played it because the app is not recognizing new content and just says that I already listened to it…even if it’s months apart from me actually forcing it to play. Apple even has it categorized as bimonthly. My guess is the person in charge of managing the account likes to take shortcuts resulting in Apple Podcasts thinking that it hasn’t been updated. What good is a podcast if you cripple your customers ability to play it? I seriously have to tell an Alexa device to play abc news from Apple Podcasts!

This has been my go-to for morning recap of national/world news but it has been stuck on April 13 for weeks now.

This would be a great podcast if they updated the news. The news that just played for me on April 22nd is from March.

Please read your reviews. Can’t play episodes as they are marked as played.

The pod is not updating on iPhone. I’ve been hearing the exact same news update for 8 days.

Someone at ABC needs to monitor this as the hourly newscast is sometimes days old on the iPhone.

ABC Radio has the best anchors, even if the news gets slanted.

For the past week or so the app has been referencing hourly updates, but keeps playing old news.…the New Hampshire primary, etc. Happy to report that it’s back to normal.

Frames topics vs delivering facts. Let us know when you fire your activists and hire journalists to replace them.

I love the quick summary of the actual important news and it even seems somewhat bipartisan. Overall impressive

I would just like to echo the concerns of numerous other reviewers who note that when new episodes are uploaded, they are already marked as played even though they have not been listened to. I have my app set to hide shows that there are already listened to which I’m sure many other people do too and so therefore I just end up forgetting about this show and never listening to it, which is unfortunate because it is a quality production. I would be happy to give you five stars if you fix this.

ABC news is almost as biased and fake as CNN and MSNBC. Cover ups, brainwashing, grooming, gender bending, green new deal lies, unproven climate change boondoggles, voodoo Marxism dressed up as Bidenomics, pure unadulterated propaganda, cream puff questions for Democrats, “when did you stop beating your wife” questions for Republicans, “follow the science” on Covid vacs and treatments, shutdowns, closed schools and churches, open liquor and weed stores, and strip clubs, and hundreds of Democrats/BLM looting, burning of stores, and LGBTQ+, BLM idiots, even worse pronouns and gender confusion, cancel culture, free speech denial, corruption in law enforcement, even the CIA and FBI, ABC is a hate agenda driven pitiful excuse for news Too tired to list any more of your failures to be honest and truthful. Shame on you!

It was put together well!

I signed up for this Podcast last month then totally forgot about it because new episodes were not showing up. I reported the problem to Apple last week. No reply, no change. Then I see in the “Reviews” from November 2022, that I’m not the only one with this problem. They didn’t receive a reply in the reviews but it can’t hurt to report the problem here too. All new episodes are marked “Played” so you never see them unless you specifically look for them in the app. Very annoying.

Nice to know what fake propaganda they are pushing to the stupid people of the world. Also all the fake deaths in Ukraine done by the Ukrainian people themselves.

This is an amazing app updated every hour 24/7. I really appreciate ABC’s reporting on all mediums. They are great at factual reporting and reliable at providing full contexts from all angles.

This is a very entertainment for 6:30 in the morning!

We, the users, aren’t being notified when a new episode is uploaded. It’s because the new episode replaces an already existing recording. This said, new episodes do not appear in the “latest episodes” of the follower’s menu.

Nice work becoming more obvious! What happened to ABC news? Is money that important? How about reporting the news just like it is instead it’s like watching a Disney cartoon full of ridicules one sided inflamed views on steering people towards their agenda and that’s fear. Please stop for the sake of humanity.

Excellent source of news. Short, concise and to the point with frequent updates. One shortcoming - NEEDS RO BE TIMESTAMPED! It’ll ensure if we are listening to the most recent update or if there’s any issue in updating.

This is a genius way too quickly to get your news. They are concise and yet cover a broad range of topics. My one bone to pick is how it’s delivered. It’s confusing to know if you’re listening to an old episode or a new one. And it doesn’t always update. And I’m finding if you don’t listen to the full episode it won’t update the next hour. Perhaps I’m just not doing something correctly but in that case, instructions in the show description would be very helpful. But when I get the correct episode playing, it’s a great way to get news!

Cumbersome to get to. Need to show each new segment separately. Have to go into “previous episodes “ to get the latest. Plus can’t go back and listen to missed episodes. I like the concise non-biased content.

I like ABC News too bad they do not know how podcast feeds work. By not updating the name the newest episode is always marked as read.

Needs work on alerts of new material. Everybody else can do it.

I haven’t be able to listen recent news in weeks 🤬

Too many clicks it takes to listen: 1. Click icon. 2. Click Previously Played. 3. Click Details. 4. Click Play. In comparison, NPR News Now only requires 2 clicks: 1. Icon. 2.Play. And, ABC News only gives a 2-min summary whereas NPR has 4 min 45 sec. Talk about ROI!

This podcast is no more than two minutes with one minute of commercials. They can’t find more news that that in a day?

News is happening 24/7 356. Why is this not updated every day?
