    Show review
This show was great when it was a wrestling podcast. It has become a liberal agenda pushing platform and less about wrestling.

    I Don’t care about politics
Brain washed Leftist democratic podcast! I’m here for wrestling not one sided takes on politics

    Talk wrestling!
Stop talking about football, basketball, and hockey!! I don’t come here for that. Besides that problem, absolutely the best insight of the pro wrestling business. It’s fair, articulate, and consistent.

    Tried giving it a listen
Tried giving the show a try for a few weeks. Whoa! The constant criticism and complaining and “I know better” vibe of this show is draining. With the exception of Jason Powell, who is great and unbiased, how am I supposed to take Wade’s guest contributors seriously? Making matters worse, “free thinking” callers contribute and use the same thought pattern and verbiage as Keller. And the AEW discussions are credibility damaging. Last week, his guest host actually said “I never criticize anything AEW, but…”, come on guys!

    Meh
I understand ads bring in money, but its too much. I thought about paying for the ad free, but then the ads became even more often. Its like 2 minutes of talking and 5 of repeat ads. Its not worth it

Misleading Podcast With Frequent False Advertising
I like Wade Keller and his podcast. I understand the business model and that he needs to make a living. This isn’t meant to be malicious, but I’m thinking at a point it may be best that Wade moved entirely over to a paywall model. I have put on this podcast 4 times in the last month and the “Wade Keller post show” doesn’t feature Wade Keller. It’s becoming a trend as Heydorn takes over. And he’s fine - but don’t false advertise your show. Wade is smart - he named it after himself because he is the Torch. Next to Meltzer, Keller is as reputable and renowned as they come in pro wrestling journalism. And look - I get it. Doing these shows multiple times a week is a lot. Things come up, people get busy. But, if you’re going to pivot to other contributors hosting more regularly, change the name of the show. I come here to listen to Wade, yet Heydorn is here telling me Wade is doing a VIP hotline instead of his post-show podcast. He can run his business any way he wishes, but it’s starting to feel sleazy. When it comes to ads - there’s a lot. Far too many. But again - you can skip ads 30 seconds on most podcasts a few times and be right back in it. Not here. The start of the show is routinely 5 minutes of ads before we even hear analysis begin. You skip past commercials, put your phone down, and have to pick it back up again every 6-8 minutes for more ads. It becomes unskippable or a huge effort to do so, which I’m sure is part of his plan. And look - it’s a problem. Most reviews say so. Wade seems fo care about his image and reputation, as he and we all should. But it’s clear he takes no joy in putting out free work. Don’t crater the product and your reputation to put this show out there if that’s not where the money is. Why not just post the flagship once a week with ads and put the rest behind a paywall? I know someone reading this thinks I’m crazy for suggesting this, but between the irritating amount of ads to which the likes I’ve never seen AND Wade frequently making backhanded comments about the “free loaders” on the free feeds, it makes me sour on him greatly. But it is what it is. For a show that so frequently comes down on Raw for false advertising, this show sure follows suit. When Wade dives in and analyzes, he’s one of the best out there. But we get so little of it. Callers are very indicative of the WWE audience - old and crotchety. One caller tuned in to discuss AEW’s lacking women’s division, citing when his daughter “knew something was off” watching Nyla Rose, implying “she knew it was unfair.” TLDR, a listener and caller is being openly transphobic on air and then somehow wonders how his daughter is also transphobic. And Wade just sat there without calling this person out. There’s just lots of old, out of touch callers that make this show feel like it never left the 80’s. Do 20-30 something’s ever call in? I’d love to know his demos, because listening to this show really makes it sit with me just how old Raw’a audience is. And for someone as progressive as Wade claims to be (although he frequently retweets Palmer Report, a fake news conspirator on the left - which is shocking for someone who does such good homework in the wrestling industry), he doesn’t try to bring in newer perspectives or at least call out problematic behavior of his callers. I hope Wade sees this - not because I’m attacking him, but because this show is more and more poorly reviewed. I’m not one to complain - I was a subscriber at one point (before I was laid off in 2020 due to COVID), but I’m getting tired of the Wade Keller show not having Wade - at least without explanation beyond not wanting to come down and speak to the “freeloaders.” Just make it all paid. ThTs fine - lots of shows do it. But ads are frivolous, callers are old, and the wresting product is so poor right now that it’s not a must see show to go out of your way to see Wade analyze it. UPDATE: Remove Machado as a cohost. The constant “uhhh” every other sentence is infuriating listening. Unprofessional and unserious

    Doesn't Consider Listener's Head Exploding
I try to get through this show for AEW opinions, considering there's not a lot of serious, digestable options for wrestling reviews. Wade, you shatter that not even within the first five minutes of your show with three pretentious, arrogant nitpicks; the last of them being about the semantics of "pro-wrestling" and why hyphenating it confuses readers. GET THE ENORMOUS STICK REMOVED FROM YOUR RECTUM, PLEASE?!
  • Gorillapino
    Better than watching Raw
Wade and crew do a great job analyzing each show. Part of the fun of it is finding out if you agree or disagree with them. They do a good job of presenting different perspectives with the best being the onsite corespondents. I’d rather listen to the Raw post-show than actually watch Raw. Those who have an issue with the ads should probably just tap the fast forward button. Or you could Go VIP and show some support to content creators.

Not much improvement over the yrs
It’s not Wade or the guests that bring this down, it’s the callers. Too many.

    Ads Ads Ads
If you looking for a podcast with tons of Ads, you found the perfect one with Wade. His podcasts are about 1:30-2:00 and 60 % ads. Then he used to rip WWE for any chance possible promoting there network back in the days, he do it more then WWE used to do.
  • gornyson
    Idiotic opinions...
This show is painful to listen to. Wades opinions represent 0.01% of wrestling community, and he consistently goes off on these tangents that no one with a brain in their head would agree with.

    Too Much Politics/COVID Talk
Can our wrestling podcasts be about.....oh I don’t know......WRESTLING!!! We don’t care about your politics or view of America or Americans.

    Way to many ads
Used to be vip and it was pretty good. But between the ads and the vip pitches it’s just to much. Then a segment on politics today and I’m completely done.

    Too many ads!!! Constantly!!!
Not a bad podcast but he has the same ads playing over and over and over again! I’m not gonna pay for the ad free version because at the end of the day, he is just a super fan with an opinion on wrestling. He’s never been in the wrestling business and I don’t pay for opinions of fans. Also, you can hear him clicking his mouse constantly and it’s annoying as hell! There are way better podcasts out there.

    Best Wrestling Podcast
The only wrestling podcast I will listen to. Insight analysis, I’ve been listening to Wade and PW torch for years to get the best post show reactions

    Eh
I like when this mark tries to rethink wrestling promos and rates wrestlers that point at the wrestlemania sign

    Snowflake Wade Keller
This is a very negative and sad podcast. Wade is the epitome of a snowflake and his views on professional wrestling are very laughable. Arguably the worst podcast I have ever heard.
  • Nikul_Desai
Great analysis but too many ads
Probably the best analysis of any wrestling pod I’ve listened to, but even with that the advertisements are so frequent it makes me not want to listen. Really unfortunate because there’s a lot of successful pods that don’t rely on this crazy amount of advertising or VIP payment. Would listen way more if there were less ads.
  • JTM811
    Wade is great but...
I really enjoy the back and forth...but I’m not interested in paying for VIP. And it feels like half of the podcast is just ads to go VIP or other types of ads. It just gets old to constantly be interrupted in the wrestling discussion. Some of the co-hosts are annoying, but other than that, this podcast could be a 5 star podcast. Just have to cut down on the commercials. I might’ve considered going VIP if it wasn’t shoved down my throat

Best Pro Wrestling TV showRecap/Review we have available
Wade is a great sports journalist that happens to be covering Pro Wrestling. He brings a ton of journalistic skill, knowledge of the histories of the feds and integrity to his product. More than you can ask for. I’d like to see Wade do a show covering The T-Wolves.

A lotta hot takes on this
Keller does a good job at what he’s trying to do. But this podcast suffers from the same ails as the 24 hours news cycle. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s the news’ tendency to blow things out of proportions and sensationalize because they need to keep generating content, even when there is none. The Dynamite discussions are fairly annoying because the show is 3 weeks in at the time of this writing, but they’ve spent over 8 hours in totality talking about how AEW is doing a bad job presenting these stars, when there’s so much evidence to the contrary. The stars all have greater twitter followings since AEW started. The AEW Dark videos on YouTube draw a live audience of over 25,000 people. Etc. Stop asking for instant gratification. Let stories build. Clearly these people know what they’re doing since they’ve held an audience of over a million for 3 straight weeks, when Smackdown’s numbers drove off a cliff during its second week. Clearly people are coming back. Let’s celebrate AEW and stop acting like everyone backstage is incompetent; I know WWE has conditioned people to always assume the worst of the people booking these stories, but give AEW a chance, man. If you listened to this podcast, it feels like they’re failing. I’m not saying to not criticize, but no matter how much you say “I enjoyed the show,” that isn’t what comes across when 80% of the episode is talking about how they’re presenting stars poorly, or whatever. Finally, you’re a wrestling journalist, so surely you know about what goes on in BTE, or at least have some idea. These guys have builds lasting months sometimes, and they always pay them off. That’s the kind of wrestling AEW is shaping up to be. Expect long builds and expect storylines to be paid off instead of being dropped from week to week; this isn’t WWE.

    The Roman Reigns Review
3 weeks is all it took for Wade to fantasy book his own vision of AEW the same way he creates a dream production of WWE. He doesn’t seem to get most popular TV shows introduce new characters , then give you a back story much later (Lost, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc). He can’t seem to grasp that pro wrestling isn’t about video packages and perfect commentary. Wade just gets in head way too much for a “feedback” structured podcast. Cuts off callers and guest hosts to rant way too often. Trust me he’ll find a way to bring up his favorite click bait Roman Reigns even when the subject is AEW just so he can rally his base.
  • Last King of Hollywood
Flirts With Greatness, But Needs Help
Wade has a very fair and knowledgeable take on all of the day’s wrestling. His insights are well thought out. Always enjoyed him and his work. That said, be prepared to have your finger on the fast forward button. Some of his cohosts come off as the kind of dudes HHH is always complaining about sitting in their basements at home by the keyboard. That... and the often nonsensical callers (who will call every day) to give rambling opinions will make it a bit painful to listen to at times. Coupled with this, the insane amount of advertising and plugs - around 40% of a 3 hr show will be ads and plugs. You can’t spend 2 hours complaining about the format of RAW when the format of your show is severely lacking as well - and on purpose. As far as a wrestling review show goes, it’s still pretty good if you can cut through all that. But fair is fair when reviewing.
  • Cdotjaydotare
    Good show
That awful T-Mobile commercial might be the best ad for VIP yet. I almost bought it after the 12th time I heard that ad this week
  • The Yellow and Black Attack

    never disappointed with Wade Keller
  • DiamondSnakeJake
    Meh
As far as smarks go, Wade isn’t too bad. Very anti-WWE, Vince McMahon and Roman Reigns if that’s your thing. Considering Wade has never produced, written or booked episodic wrestling TV, he sure has a lot of ideas about what others should do. For example, to sit there and complain about how Smackdown does commercial spots, yet your show is a running propaganda loop to sell your Patreon show in the middle of a show is hilarious. The one positive is this show is produced well on great hot mics.
  • juicefacekillah
    Great Incites
I primarily listen for Wade and his guests take on shows. I find the on site correspondents section fascinating as well. My primary concern is the callers. Most of them never know when to get off the phone, but Wade does a good job of cutting them off. I also don’t find many of their thoughts all that interesting. The complaints about the ads from other listeners are irrelevant when you can skip through them and shouldn’t factor into their review of the program. Go VIP if it bothers you that much.

    Ads, Ads and More Ads...
Literally 13 minutes of wrestling talk in the first 33 minutes of the pod I listen to! If you have your hand on the FF15 key, it MAY be worth it but the commercials are excessive and make this unlistenable.

    Too Many Ads
The ads are out of control.
  • Harrison1275
    So many ads
I was looking forward to the Moxley interview and like the first 20 min are ads also during the podcast there were just too many I was going to start listing to podcast but I am sorry it’s just to much
  • Radiostarcomeback
    Unlistenable
It’s not just the amount of ads and self-promotion in this podcast but the placement of them as well. They totally ruin the flow of the conversation and make the show feel so disjointed. While focusing so much on Raw, he should take a critical look at his own shows. And the repeating of the exact same ads back to back is so annoying. I could never get through a full show because of those issues and have now pretty much stopped listening altogether. Not sure if his strategy is to annoy people to the point of signing up as a paid member but it had the opposite effect on me. There are much better pods out there that don’t interrupt their show every 2 minutes with a plug or ad.
  • dubeieeeee
    Ads
I used to love this podcast. But as has been said it’s a joke the amount of ads and self promotion. Some is expected. But this is like watching raw tonight. More ads than show.
  • DumbMark
    Way too many ads
Disrupts the flow and makes you want to quit listening rather than go VIP.
  • wierth
    Just another podcast
You were just another podcast who uses it to promote your social justice warrior ideas. I am tired of hearing you and Bruce talk about how minorities are constantly put down by the white man. Can’t you just talk about wrestling without putting your political views into everything?
  • Kevin 787
Great show but far far too many ads
Wade and his crew do a tremendous job at covering the Raw and smack down shows. Be forewarned that these review shows have triple the ads of any other podcast I’ve listening to, wrestling and non wrestling.
  • WeUs1111
    Had to stop listening
I’ve been a wrestling fan for 40 years and I’ve followed Wade’s work for 30 years. I love his insight and his take on the wrestling business but his podcasts have become unlistenable because of all the ads and plugs. I listen to a lot of podcasts on a wide variety of topics and I realize that ads and plugs are a necessary evil. Most insert their ads in an appropriate fashion and they aren’t a big distraction from the main content of the podcasts. This podcast starts out with 6-8 minutes of ads, 3-5 minutes of conversation, more ads, 3-5 more minutes of conversation, more ads, rinse, wash, repeat. Ads are sometimes inserted mid sentence taking away from the flow of the conversation... as if they’re going to make us listen to them whether we like it or not. It’s obnoxious and insulting. And this is a guy who complains about wrestling shows cutting to commercial breaks mismatch. Very ironic. It’s gotten so bad I’ve had to stop listening. Hopefully he’ll read all these negative reviews, reign in the solicitation and focus on what he does best...delivering excellent analysis on the pro wrestling business. Maybe then I’ll go VIP again.
  • AJ2KXX
The ads and plugs are out of control.
I understand that this podcast really functions as an advertisement for VIP, but holy crap. It’s out of control. We begin every podcast with at least 3-5 minutes of ads before it even begins. Then we cut conversations mid-topic, out of nowhere, to play the same ads, at least twice. Then we get at least one several minute ad for VIP. It’s nuts, and it’s a shoddy way of getting people to sign up for your service. It’s the main reason that I’ll never sign up for VIP. I don’t feel like being strong armed into it with the promise of not being excessively annoyed. It’s also why I unsubscribed. I’m still going to listen, but I’m not going to subscribe to someone who’s this over the top with the ads. No other wrestling podcast of note is this over the top with the plugs and advertisements. Even “Something to Wrestle With” nicely segues into them and you can easily skip through...you see them coming. If not for the ridiculous amount of advertising, I’d give this show a higher review.

Great Show with a Minor Fault
Great insight and analysis coming from the best- Wade Keller; however, there is a lot of unnecessary rambling throughout many of the shows, which can become annoying. All-in-all, one of my favs and “go-to’s” for wrestling.
  • Gurgie13
Mostly venting from a small pool of fans.
While i admire the team involved for their decades of work following wrestling, each episode is just worse and worse. They spend most of the time wishing things were different than actually talking about what has happened. It’s probably a great show for those that share Wade’s opinions. I’d rather listen to pods that talk about where the stories are going rather than vent about where they are not. I assume the man is burnt out on the craft. I do appreciate that it’s available the morning following a night’s show. That is commendable.
  • Tim Hopson
    Get over it...
It is a critical review. I enjoy the prognostications. Haters gonna hate. Great show. I enjoy the shows, right after the conclusion of the broadcast. No one but Taz does that... sometimes... PWT does it all the time. Keep up the great work.
  • Fair n balanced fan
    Sorry Wade.
I really wanted to like this podcast. Wade is awesome....on other people's shows. Left to his own devices he is ridiculous whiny with frequent forays into trying to prove his moral superiority. Even when RAW/Smacksown is very good he finds something to b!+ch about for the entire length of the show. The onsite correspondant segment is painful to listen to. If you need more negativity in your life...this show is for you. Sory Wade...I tried.
  • Woody1391
    The negativity is a problem
I tried so hard to listen a few times but the negativity is just too much. I mean give WWE a break. Yeah they don’t get right more often times than not but come on. Picking a part every single detail of Raw or Smackdown is an absolute waist of time. And then dwelling on the negative more than the positive is an even bigger waist of time. Add some humor too. Jesus! Making a 2 hour podcast that only buries WWE is not funny. To all other listeners go listen to Ring Rust Radio. They may be a little lower budget but they break down everything wrestling for the week and it’s actually entertaining to listen to. Several differences of opinions but of guys who r funny.
  • Jeevpoo
    Stop advertising stuff so much
If it weren’t for the VIP advertising every other 5 minutes and the abundancy of advertising throughout, I’d probably listen to this more as I generally appreciate Wade’s takes. I’m here to listen to a podcast, not be sold on stuff every 5 minutes.
  • Rev808
    dependent on the day
Wade can be very fun to listen to when you happen to agree with his side of things. unfortunately i often find that things i might find insignificant problems at the most, he will drone on and on about, often arguing his point over and over until his co-hosts seem forced to agree with him if they ever hope to move the conversation forward. that being said i generally like the format of the show and how it is split up into different segments, and the verity of different co-hosts means you’re bound to find some pairing of personalities you will enjoy. they start by bantering back and forth, then take calls from viewers, before talking with an on-site corespondent and wrapping up with some e-mail rants and questions. i might have bumped up the my review to four stars but the amount of self plugging and promotion that interrupts the show can at times be downright insufferable, and i believe intentionally so. making your plugs so transparently annoying won’t make me spend money to get rid of them, if anything i’ll never pay for VIP membership just out of spite. mature, no, true, yes.
