Parenting #217

Let's get real, this whole raising tiny humans thing is wild. That is why I created a place where parents, caregivers, teachers, and experts come together to create the modern parenting village. We can support one another on this crazy journey so it doesn't have to be this hard.

I’m picky and I love Seed & Sew
I am pretty picky on which parenting experts I choose to trust and who I align with. Alyssa is one of the few. Great info here and her social media! Love love

    Wow!
Just listened to episode 127 about motherhood and your body and this conversation was so rich and deep and on point and compassionate. I definitely want to be part of the conversation and this community.

    Incredibly insightful
As a first time mom who *thought* I had done a lot of inner work already, boy was I in for a ride to the next level when our son came along! We’re still in the early toddler phase, and I, and, most importantly, our son, have benefited to much from the insights and approaches shared in this podcast. Thank you 🙏🏻😊

    I feel seen and supported
Alyssa’s approach to raising tiny humans resonates with me so much. I found her content when my two year old started having really explosive tantrums after our baby was born and I didn’t know what to do to support him. Alyssa is an amazing mentor and though I’ve never met her I feel so seen and supported by her in this parenting journey. I listen to her podcast every week and have purchased both her e-courses. I can’t say enough good things about Seed and See and refer her content to every single mama in my path.

    Highly recommend
I found this podcast after trying out a few different parenting podcasts. I started listening hoping to get some guidance as a new mama who has zero experience with children. What I didn’t expect was how the content would also benefit my relationships with myself and adults in my life! The guests are incredibly knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. I always end an episode with new wisdom to apply, validation, and excitement about raising a tiny human. As someone who is still seeking my parenting village, this podcast has made me feel less alone on this journey.
  • Natalie Anaya, PreK Teacher
    Incredible resource for teachers
This is my favorite podcast to listen to as an early childhood educator. It’s kept my practice as a PreK teacher fresh and constantly evolving and has truly brought more passion and curiosity to my day-to-day life in the classroom. I don’t yet have children of my own, but I find every episode to be incredibly applicable as a teacher; it has me questioning, revisiting, reframing and reflecting in a way I never did before discovering Seed and Sew and Voices of Your Village. So thank you, Alyssa, for everything that you offer, I am so, so grateful.

This podcast is one I can return to time and time again. I love the varied subjects and the conversational tone. It feels like I’m listening in to an interesting chat rather than hearing a formal interview. I just love it!

    THE BEST PARENTING PODCAST EVER
This is by far the most helpful podcast - for me and for my interactions with my tiny humans. And honestly - for ever relationship I’m part of. Love her motto that parenting doesn’t have to be so hard and that the goal is emotional intelligence from day one. The tips, tools, tricks, and strategies are priceless.

Best podcast for growth and awareness!
Alyssa has a wonderful perspective and advice for not only how to be a better parent, but a better human. I feel like listening to her has helped ME immensely as well as my daughter as I am learning to help myself cope and be a better model for her.

    Changing my parenting game
Binge-ing some VoyV has already made me feel like a more competent and calm parent, and big human! It’s only been a few weeks and the tips I’m starting to practice are already showing results, for myself and my tiny humans. Highly recommended!

I’m so grateful for this podcast. Game changer & life saver
For the first time in my 3 years of parenting I actually feel like I have the tools I need to raise an emotionally intelligent human. Alyssa has taught me so much about acknowledging and processing emotions, and I have quickly seen changes in how my tiny human responds to the world around her.
  • cfmyoung
    The best parenting tool
I cannot say enough how grateful I am for having stumbled upon Alyssa on Instagram and to then have found this podcast. I agree with so many other parents that everything I learn each time I listen is just THE TRUTH and completely life changing. I have my Masters in Education and have been an elementary teacher in urban schools for 10 years, so I feel like I know my way around a kid, yet I find new information on how to interact with/speak to and just show love while guiding children (most importantly, my own) EVERY time I tune in. It has been the best thing and I look forward to every week.

I am a mom of 3 and a former preschool teacher of 14 years and I have to say I’ve learned a tremendous amount just by listening to Alyssa in this podcast. She really gets into it. This podcast is full of information, insights, and actionable advice. Alyssa is knowledgeable and compassionate. The topics may sometimes feel uncomfortable but that might be why they’re important. I know I’ve spent a few episodes shedding a few tears. Her knowledge and advice is solid. Alyssa is the real deal. You’re certainly not going to be disappointed.

Parenting is Amazing & Hard AF; Alyssa Just Gets It
In a sea of parenting advice and overwhelming places to seek help and support from, this has become a trusted place for curated and valuable information, every podcast. In other podcasts, I’ve been known to skip around and pick what’s applicable only to me but Alyssa really knows and understands what the majority of parents need and want to hear about. I don’t miss one podcast and love her approach to advice with zero judgement. She’s a boss and knows what she is talking about every single time. Her content every week keeps me coming back for more. Girl boss 💪🏼

    Best decision I’ve ever made!
Even though I am not a parent, this podcast has given me a lot of valuable insight to understanding tiny humans and the ways in which we as adults and supporters are able to create mindful atmospheres for these tiny humans to grow up in. I particularly appreciated the podcast that mentions consent and learning how to support tiny humans through what consent means, and the importance of teaching them what consent means at a young age. Truly this podcast is RAD I highly recommend to anyone and everyone parent or not !

    LOVE THIS PODCAST!!
Being a mom is the best/scariest/happiest/most frustrating/trying/most exhausting role I have ever played in life. You never know if what you’re doing is “right” (who are these people that decide what’s the “right” way to parent your child?!). Listening to Alyssa’s podcast truly gives me a sense of empowerment in the parenting world. You can tell by listening that she genuinely cares and is so passionate about early childhood development. Her discussions are completely judge free and totally make sense. It’s clear she really puts her heart and souls, as well as time and research into this. Her podcasts are so informative and I love how every topic she speaks about really hits home and just makes sense. I have learned simple adjustments that I can (and have) make that help my daughter and I connect and learn from each other. I knew almost nothing about raising a child when my daughter -who is now a happy healthy thriving 16 month old-was born. Listening to Alyssa’s podcast has truly been beneficial to me and I hope she never stops sharing her passion. Looking forward to what the future brings for you!

    !!!
Alyssa is so knowledgeable on tiny humans and when she wants to tackle a topic she’s not an expert on she does a great job of finding someone who is so that she can learn from them. The latest episode on gender was done really well and I’m excited to hear what else Alyssa has in store for us in the future.

    Can’t get enough!
I look forward to listening every week! Every topic covered is relatable and I learn useful information every time I tune in. I love that Voices of Your Village touches on topics that can be controversial ie. co-sleeping, and how to address race and gender identity with our children. I appreciate that Alyssa brings the combination of experts and parents to provide knowledge along with personal experience. Thank you so much for creating this podcast!

I keep coming back for more
As a parent, there are so many elements, phases, stages- and Alyssa helps us navigate through all of them! She shares words of wisdom from things like sleeping to setting boundaries to emotion processing- the list goes on and on. If you haven’t listened or followed her- you’re missing out!

    Great Resource
This podcast is a great resource for anyone who is looking to learn more about children. It is clear that Alyssa has wealth of information about kiddos, and she understands the reality of raising children in today’s world. I was hooked on the podcast after listening to the episode where Alyssa dives deep into setting boundaries, and I have learned so much from Alyssa’s interviews with experts in child development.
