daniel patrick musicAll the banjo!Keith does and excellent job interviewing the best in the business! It almost makes me want to quit mandolin and play banjo........almost! I also hope someday he will get the king of the six string banjo, Keith Urban on the podcast so I can learn more about hair colors and flat ironing!

D of L&HOne of the best podcasts on music, period. This show is a gift to banjo players and the legacy of the instrument. Keith is an intelligent, bright, capable interviewer, and he really gets wonderful stories and details out of his guests. The Patreon bonus materials are a fantastic deal. Every episode continues to leave me smiling and playing the heck out of my banjo!

Litlle Skippy LouMy Favorite PodcastHey-if you’ve made it this far you must be a banjo player. Even if you aren’t there is something inspiring listening to amazing musicians discuss their craft. Keith aka Picky Fingers is a brilliant host. He does an exceptional job steering conversion & staying out of the way of the guests answers. I’ve never missed an episode. You shouldn’t either.

LettingItShineReally Inspiring PodcastI'm a new banjo player, and somtimes it's a struggle to stay focused and motivated, especially when balancing banjo practice with so many other responsibilities. I listen to this podcast while I'm at work, and I get so inspired to go home and practice. I learn a lot from it, too. And the host and the guests are a pleasure to listen to. Keith, thanks for making the podcast you would want to listen to, because we want to listen to it to!

Kslav831You’ll find your languageIt’s fun to here the way a banjo can be played by some of the best banjo players. Everybody learns things differently and this podcast allows you to here someone speak your language. It’s also nice to see and be reminded how beautifull the banjo/ bluegrass/ live music community is.

SD in GeorgiaExcellent content for newbies or veteran banjo pickers! With no musical background at all, I decided at age 52 that I wanted to play the banjo when I grow up. Now six months in, I feel as though I’m progressing nicely. I’ve found that I have a near insatiable appetite to learn as much about the history of the banjo, as well as tips to help improve my playing. The Picky Fingers Podcast has helped to quench my appetite with well thought out content, commentary, history, and playing tips. Getting to hear the stories of those who have “made it”, and to hear the trials that they went through to get there is priceless. Thank you for this great podcast, and by the way, it would be great to hear from Marc Pruett of Balsam Range. He is the inspiration behind my desire to learn to play!

Tigaroo13Best Banjo PodcastI came to the banjo as a complete musical novice about 1 year ago. Hearing the artists and other professionals interviewed on the show rapidly expanded my awareness and appreciation for Bluegrass and the banjo in an unexpectedly immense way over only a few dozen episodes. This podcast inspires me to practice the banjo so much more and provides color and context to the music and the instrument that I’m getting myself deeply into. I’ve listened to all of the episodes to date and a few of them three times or more! Keith is an informed and sensitive show host, his background as a musician and an audio technician allows him to ask the right questions. I just returned from Red Rocks where Billy Strings opened for Greensky Bluegrass. During the drive out there, I re-listened to the Michael Bont and the Billy Failing episodes. With their respective voices in my head, I heard their playing in a unique and more personal way. Are all the good muscians from Michigan?! Thank you for making such a valuable show, Keith!

pch-CGreat podcast for banjo loversKeith does a great job of keeping things moving and making sure each guest actually demonstrates techniques they employ. Too often interviews with banjo players focus on background and banjo/setup. Keith does this too but always gets into stuff that will help players of all levels.

garthbenderBest podcast aroundKeith does an amazing job with the Picky Fingers podcast. He covers all things banjo in an in-depth and interesting way that even non-banjo lovers would enjoy.

RaozrGreat podcast for banjo players!Keith gets very deep into these interviews. I consider myself an intermediate player, and there's a good mix of content ranging from beginner to advanced. There are basic tips and sage advice from the many interviews!

Mr GDGBDI learn something every episode!Keith finds great guests and engages them in fascinating conversations. I like how he finds people from all areas of the banjo universe. Who knew banjo players were so smart and articulate?

EVC11Must Listen for Banjo LoversThis podcast is great for a few reasons; the guests are fantastic and legendary and secondly because Keith cares so much about the quality of the sound (something a lot of podcasts don’t pay much attention to). Keith, thanks for sharing!

Sgt StrykerThis banjo podcast is the best use of technology since the geared tuner!Just discovered your podcast and I love it. It is the banjo podcast I've been searching for for many years. Great converstations and discussions with lessons and practical advice. I'm one of the guys you spoke about in your first podcast. The person who's always loved the banjo but life just didn't make it possible so now at 52 I'm starting to seriously learn the banjo. Thank you for this podcast!

Sullivan MartinesqueNot just for banjo playersI found this podcast early this morning trying to find something to lift my spirits. I’ve played the banjo (poorly) for years and I love bluegrass as long as it has a hefty banjo component. I searched for a banjo podcast and voila. This podcast speaks directly to me and immediately made me happy. The host is clearly a smart dude who knows music and how to play live. Plus he’s the rare podcaster who can actually interview. Seriously, he asks smart questions of talented people then he lets them answer. A rare skill indeed. And he lets them play their banjos! I think anyone who loves music and live performances could love this podcast. You’ll have to put up with the occasional banjo gear talk (which the banjoists love), but any serious music nerd could enjoy those discussions as well. It was a gift for me to discover.
