    Audio is an Issue
Decent show, but hard to listen to because either the host or the way a microphone is set up causes too much dynamic range. With that, I mean the host's voice is nearly always a little too quiet or a little too loud and it makes it really hard to listen Because either I can't hear it or it hurts my ears. Host is talented and knows baseball and has great pipes, but there's got to be a way, either through compression or the choice of microphone or the mic placement That would help make it easier to hear.

Great content. Wayyyy too many commercials. It’s about 40% add reads. Plenty of potential.

    Ads ads ads
The pod is legit 30% ads. Even the show descriptions have no actual info on the podcast, it’s just ad info. Tough listen

    Great Show!
If you’re a Cardinal fan that doesn’t care to sit down and watch sports center or read articles to learn more about the team than this is perfect. JD gives the inside of what’s happening in the organization daily, and when he runs out of daily content he picks a topic like who the cards could go after in the trade deadline or partners up with another team’s host to talk about the upcoming matchup. Always keeps it interesting!

    Good info but meh
I like having regularly updated Cardinal news, but something about this show is just off. Maybe, I just don’t like JD’s style, I don’t know, but the show just doesn’t work for me as well as it should.

    Awesome
One of the best parts of my whole day. I love the depth you guys provide and the insight you give the common fan.

One of the few guys who can really do it solo
JD is pretty good at what he does. Usually solo podcasts are snooze factories, but JD has the right cadence and formula to keep the show interesting. He incorporates listener opinions well. He’s charitable when he needs to be. He’s critical when he needs to be. The minor league guest appearances have been nice. I think he can improve in three ways. He could brush up on Statcast data, he could bring in more guests who are well-informed about Cardinal baseball, and he really needs to read some more articles. Occasionally, he misses key details that could help drive discussion.

    Nice Guy; More Content Please
Really lacks content in comparison to better L/O pods A listener gets very little deeper analysis and JD drones on regarding self- evident issues.yep- we all hate losing streaks. Which player has biggest gap in BA and BABIP or which pitcher has improving spin rate or team’s focus on sweeper development or whose launch angle is keeping a hitter from a better slug. A recent pod focused on giving up two strike homers- odd but at least an attempt. The lack of understanding regarding pitchers working on pitch development during spring training while discussing the Contreras contretemps was frankly cringe worthy. Ex.- Matz shaping his curve (unsuccessfully) was of far more importance to Matz than catcher’s timing of pitch selection:location. JD- you fundamentally misunderstand pitchers priorities on the bump in Florida. Lastly- I could not do better:-) and I know it.

    Really enjoying
JD does a great job and I love listening to the podcast! Easy to listen to and is a good source of information for cardinals fans! Keep up the good work!

Lot of incorrect or inaccurate stats or info.
    Title says it all.

    Terrible host
The host stumbles over his words and player names in almost every episode. Calls himself a super fan but can’t get names or events correct.

    Enjoyable show!
I listen everyday, but I can’t help but think an occasional cohost would be beneficial.

    Awesome!
Met the host, Lucas Smith, at a Cardinals game. Great podcast and an even better guy! Being a huge Cardinals fan myself, I appreciate the daily updates and getting another opinion on what’s going on with this, albeit frustrating, loveable team. Awesome show, and I’ll continue tuning in every day!

    Good content...too many ads
I like the content, but the huge amount of ads take away the enjoyment.

    Lord Smith can’t be stopped
All hail Lord Lucas Smith, noble lead and inimitable leader of the Cardinals Grand Armada. This podcast does our Cards justice and we must do everything to protect Lord Smith at all costs. It was HE who brought us Nolan Arenado, we are forever in your debt Lord Smith

    Pretty Good
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast since it started back up. My only problem is is that it seems you try to talk so fast. It would be better if you could slow down just a little. I have checked the speed on my phone thinking I might have made it faster accidentally but it is just you talking fast. Other than that it has been great and keep up the good work!

    Great Cards baseball podcast!
Updating this due to a new host. Lucas does a good job explaining everything that is going on with the team and what is happening. One thing I had to get used to is how fast he delivers information. He’s the exact opposite of the former host Moose who was much slower in his delivery. I don’t mind the fast delivery but I feel he and I would benefit a lot more if he would slow down a little bit. If Lucas also adds in his predictions for how he feels a game will go or a series will go as far as wins or losses, I think that would be another positive as well.

    New host...yaaaaay!!!
Hated the old host, he was always negative and as another reviewer noted made personal attacks on players for dubious reasons. Glad to see things starting fresh with a real host and not some mad guy in Nashville.

Enjoyed all of the rich stats in these segments. You can hear not only the love of the Cards but the knowledge of the Cardinal organization and MLB overall! Can’t wait for tomorrow’s call on Cardinal baseball VS the Cubbies.

    Great Quick Listen
I listen to Moose everyday and it is always a great quick bitter podcast for a Cardinals fan who wants a bullet point approach towards the previous day’s events. Moose is highly interactive with listeners and is a great personality to have on the Cardinals podcast web of personalities. Love the show, keep it up.

    Fine for a Week
I subscribed and enjoyed this podcast for about three days, but that’s about all the time it takes for the host to run out of content. And begin repeating himself. The host has no inside information whatsoever and is often wrong with statements made. Most Cardinal fans that I know would do a much better and more accurate job. Furthermore the host makes repeated personal attacks on players based on opinion and perhaps personal biases.

    Great Daily Podcast
Listen to Moose everyday. He gives great insight, prepares you for the upcoming games, and makes you excited for Cardinals baseball. I listen to his podcast every morning I walk my dog and gives me a lot of excitement for the Cardinals game that day.

Great for Cards and really overall baseball fans.

    Needs a little work
I love the idea of the show. Moose has a great voice and radio presence. However, since he’s not located in/or near the Lou, it ends up just being a fanboys ravings. He does insert some interesting stats. I just wish he actually talked to people in the organization. The stuff he brings is mostly his opinion on stuff we all know. I’d love a little more insider knowledge.
  • Hire hard
    Inconsistent
Sometimes it’s good most the time horrible. If you are going to have a pod about the St Louis Cardinals then watch the games. You can just tell he basically reads MLB at bay or something similar to get the stats.

Good for me! New to Podcasts A+
I am just getting started with Podcasts and this one is great for me. I work constantly so I don’t get the time to watch many full games. Mostly highlights or maybe a few innings only. This show is great for keeping up to date with all the goings on behind the scenes. Short and sweet. Very easy to listen while I am driving to the next job site. Good job!

    Amazingly crafted
Very well done and well written and in the wise words of Emily Dickinson ‘‘tis that I cannot say. In those words I leave you with the words amazing and smart well created and loved.

    Great Show about my Redbirds
Moose is a great personality host. I love the Three Big Things!

    Good way to keep up
I’m absolutely glad I found this podcast... I live in Virginia, so none of the radio stations discuss the Cardinals, and they very rarely talk baseball at all. This helps me keep up to date with what’s going on. Just because I listen to or watch the game doesn’t mean I didn’t miss something, so this podcast helps me out a lot.
  • StlCardsfan82
    Seems Clueless
The guy seems like he isn’t up on what’s going on. He claimed the cardinals had a 4 game series against San Diego but it’s only three. He can’t seem to get his stats right or how the game played out

    Great!
Great short and too the point podcast on the daily Cardinal news. Professional quality audio and an engaging host. Definitely worth a subscribe if your a Cardinal fan.

    Great stuff!
Don’t pay attention to that one star review. Moose came over from Two For Three and if that shows any indication there’s going to be a lot fun things on the way. Love this show and audio quality is on point!

    Terrible
Good try, Moose, but I'm not buying it. Moose tries to sound like he knows the Cardinals organization, but it's blatantly obvious that he doesn't. He can't pronounce names right and just regurgitates box scores and highlights written by beat writers. I wouldn't be surprised if he does a "Locked On" podcast for 15 other teams every day and just cranks them out as if true fans want his formulaic rantings and regurgitations. True Cardinals fans can see right through it and will unsubscribe in a heartbeat...like I just did.
