ZaShizzleAds for half the podLove Jon as he covers the wolves well, but man, I feel like I’m pulling my phone out to skip half of the episode during the ad reads. If the episode is 45 minutes long there’s maybe 25 minutes of wolves / league talk.

BenWorcesterLove the Wolves talk, but…The ads lately… YEESH. The most recent show was borderline unlistenable. I get it, grab that bag if it’s there. Though when you’re stopping every 5min to read an ad, it makes for a rough listen. The guys at least do keep moving at a brisk pace. But man.
-
muskyfreakpoliticsKeep politics off your show, please. A lot of people it’s a podcast we don’t have to think about politics.

nba reviewer 12345Basic liberal ideologyAre we listening to basketball or politics? Woke losers come on in!

mannymrJon K is the bestFirst started reading/listening to Jon when he was at the Associated Press. His transition to The Athletic was the reason I became an Athletic subscriber. Not surprisingly, his pods are very informative and of course, the ad reads have been entertaining.
-
Clippsin5Jon K is the man!Nobody reporter covers the Timberwolves better than Jon. Jim Souhan however is truly awful
-
d.dmacPulse on the WolvesJonny K with the goods as always. If you're not subscribed to The Athletic, do it now! Jon has the inside scoop on our Wolves. Wish his pod was more often but given the work he does for The Athletic I look forward to the weekly shows. Keep up the good work!

dgefphsaidjeffNot as entertaining as it could beFlow is wack. Feels like they’re rushed to get through a set of topics like check boxes, which inhibits the sort of dialogue I like to listen to in a podcast. Most talking points will be addressed through various outlets so I don’t think this is a must in the small rotation of wolves content. Plus the ads are executed so poorly my lawd. Constructively (like the Dane Moore podcast), I love to hear clips and medium-hot takes plus a little of investment in the team itself. Im sure that it’s a job that can become rote after awhile, but it’s genuinely cathartic to hear Dane, Jace etc get a little riled up. Not saying that this has to be that, but cumulatively you’re kind of just getting blurby info in a not too entertaining format. Love JK for the athletic FWIW and would like to see him more on BALLYS

wilco321Number 3 wolves podcast. If you really believe towns is a better player than ant, you are obiously bias for some reason. Ant leads kat in 3 point % and scoring by 3 points per game. Very close in rebounds and assist.he is in top 20 in scoring in nba, he is tied for 3rd in steals and I believe he is the only wolve with a chance to make the all star team this year. I doubt there are very many wolves fans that agree with you when you say towns is the best player on the team. Still like to listen to your show but my favorites are flagrant howls and timberwolves explosion.your tied with Dane however,

Brady111222Jon is great…Big fan of Jon and his insights… however his co-host leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. I do not feel that he does a good job managing the flow of the podcasts and his ad readouts are subpar at best. I feel that sometimes he tries to take over the podcast when no one is really all that interested in what he has to say.

twolves fan2022Jon is great, Jim is awfulWhen I listen to a basketball podcast I’m looking for a great insight or new knowledge that I don’t have. Jon is great at providing this. What I don’t want is political opinions and people who don’t follow basketball providing worthless commentary which is what Jim does. This podcast is always much better when Jim is on vacation.
-
MNSportsMNPThe flow of this podcast is off. I am not sure if it’s the format or the way ads are run but it seems like there is a better template out there to use. Jim does okay as a table setter and Jon K does fine providing his insights overall. On the whole I crave any additional Wolves content. You would think that having one of the most plugged in beat writers of the team co-hosting would be appointment listening, but it isn’t.

newmburAds Ads AdsLove the podcast, and hate the wolves. But so many ads are killing the flow of the conversation.

agaman33Steve Terry is the worst!Decent podcast is John’s is the only commentary.
-
KATxAntToo much politicsI come here to listen to news about the Wolves not to listen to a full blown CNN rant

Shoutout RegWorst intro music for a podcast I have ever heard. This podcast is ok. I follow a bunch of basketball pods. Sadly I’m a wolves fan so this show is a must for me. Generally I listen to this show when I have already rinsed my favorite pods and ran out of listening material at work. I only came to leave a review because I’m sick of having to fast forward thru the intro. That short sample of a terribly inappropriate song for a basketball podcast has been turning me off more and more each episode. I’m close to just unsubscribing at this point.

Steven ShegaGreat Wolves podcastPlus, the manscaped ads are gold 😂
-
NoIceInmydrinkpleaseShallow and too many ads.The ads are always the same and the basketball talk is rarely thought provoking. The occasional politics are annoying(if I wanted politics, i know where to find it) and even more shallow than the basketball analysis. Only worth your time if you are a mega Timberwolves fan and even then it barely is. Nothing personal just lacking in quality takes.
-
Let's Be FunPersonal Political Takes instead of Talking Basketball?Do Souhan and Krawcinski understand that basketball is an escape for fans? The last podcast was ten minutes of hoops, four minutes of ads, one minute of Russell’s view on the capitol riot, and TWELVE minutes spouting their OWN opinions! Even if you agree with their opinions, even if you overlook a couple obvious untruths, even if you are okay with childish name calling and labeling people you disagree with, how pompous do these guys have to be to think people listen to this podcast to hear their own political tirades? I’m canceling my subscription, and sending a copy of this pod to their sponsors, Manscape, Knowable, and TSR Personal Injury Law. There are certainly other podcasts we can listen to that won’t put their personal politics in front of basketball talk.
-
Expendable CrewmanAds Interrupted by Basketball TalkJon is a great reporter and great podcaster. Unfortunately, this format is holding him back. The ads take up a significant portion of the show - to the point that they frequently have advertisers on as guests! It’s just too much.
-
SuperStatsDaveAlways a great listenJonny K & Jim are great at providing insight and every podcast is a solid mix of knowledge and solid opinions.
-
Jei CeeExcellentThis show is a must for every Timberwolves fan. Jon and Jim are just a great duo! Thanks for your effort to keep us updated!!
-
CominOutTheSotaThe Sell Your Soul To TSR Injury ShowJohnny Athletic is the only reason these 20 minutes are bearable. JS would rather poke listeners to death with ads, which is helpful is keeping his status as an amateur.
-
KrazyTraneNot enough substance too many commercialsA 30 min podcast was half commercials and the intro/out music. I’m cool with them making money but that’s ridiculous. I like when Jon is on local radio shows but Jim is not a good host for this show, Jon should either go alone and give us the substantive info or find a “fanboy” type host to ask Jon the questions that keep the show on track.
-
SonchaiSame as repeated over and overI agree with reviewer Ref Ranger. This podcast does a poor job of transitioning to ads and is the most ad dominant podcast I listen to. I unsubscribed to all other network pods for that reason. The ads are also the same every podcast. Kind of like when Hulu was new and has one or two ads repeated a million times. Human beings need variety! I stay because Jon is great. Hope he moves onto the Athletic’s podcast platform soon. I suggest Jim look into how other podcast networks handle ads. Specifically RelayFM. They have a lot of ads, but they are consistent and don’t ramble on about the same talking points over and over and over. Ads are clearly delineated from the content and don’t swing wildly back and forth at a moments notice. I will say, after all that talk about ads, that I really enjoy Steve Terry episodes. He really is a great voice of the fan.
-
Red ranger 9001Good content, but too many ads leads to a lack of depthJon is great and is pretty much the only reason I listen. He’s plugged in, well spoken, and has good insights on the team. The other host is fine. Nothing special. My only complaint: for a 27 minute podcast there are 4 breaks for 1-2 minute ads. I understand the show is free and ads are part of the deal, but 20-30% of the show is just ads. It really breaks the flow for me. Podcasts are usually an enjoyable experience, but this one almost feels like work trying to get through the ads. The ad reads aren’t even entertaining. I can sit through other podcast’s ad segments, because to a certain extent it’s fun. I don’t feel that way with this one. I’d accept this as part of the business but no other podcast is like this. It’s really frustrating because besides this, I really really like the show. But this one aspect, to me, is intrusive enough that I’ve gone from listening to every episode, to only listening if the topic is interesting enough.

KlayB97AwesomeBest Timberwolves podcast that I have found. Jon is very knowledgeable and gives us insight into the Wolves like we haven’t been able to hear before!
