Marie was somewhat helpful years ago, but lately she has been a snake oil saleswoman. She dives deep into technical analysis but in doing so abstracts away any real value. She’s using Google leaks, testimony analysis as a vail to sell her book on ranking. She gives false hope and completely fails to address the reality that generative AI is changing the way people search.

I’ve learned so much over time. And the interviews are great too. However, the episodes have become much more disjointed the past couple years. And lately, she’s the SEO who’s taking everything Google says at face value (when she used to be more of a independent thinker which was so helpful). It pains me to say this as I’m a fan. I really hope this comes back strong or that she goes to work for Google and makes them better. Either way!

Marie is so cozy, and down to earth and she presents information In an easy to digest way. Beyond that, SEOs of any level of experience and in any niche can find loads of value. She does immense research so we don’t have to. A true hero among working SEOs.

I tune in regularly.

Marie Haynes provides insight into how Google ranks sites and tools you can use to improve things on your website. I always find at least one helpful piece of advice in each episode, if not more, and the show notes and newsletter are great too!

Dr. Haynes is amazing. This podcast has become my “go-to” source for analysis and the latest SEO news. It’s perfect to listen to while I’m at work. Her analysis of the latest changes in the Online Marketing space and the impact of those changes are first-rate. Highly recommend!
