jfk2495Excellent Hockey Specific PodThe host does a great job of explaining how, and more importantly, WHY he presents what he does. Does a great job of explaining technical aspects of exercise science in layman’s terms.

GoldenBoymaGic85Simply The BestCoach Garner’s training is the most current, evidence/science based, efficient, specific and most of all, EFFECTIVE that I’ve seen. His podcasts and videos provide excellent information. So, if you want to see on ice results, grab whichever of his programs best suit your needs and get going! I’ve done the Men’s League Domination and the In Season programs and have seen great results in speed, stamina, balance and strength. I appreciate his emphasis on recovery and nutrition and believe these have helped me make faster gains on ice.

Leah Wadlinger #4Great podcastsThese podcasts are what I have needed since I played hockey. I have always needed something more than just my parents and myself telling me to do this or do that in order to get better and to understand how to train my body to be at it’s best. This coach Definetly got the spot. I plan on changing my diet, and my workouts and a lot so that this season, I can show everyone who the best ME is on and off the ice🙏🏻🏒

Rusty RobertA Mental EdgeCoach Garner is the kind of coach that hits the books just as hard as he hits the weights. If you want to dodge the high elbow known as life from blindsiding you like a vintage 90’s Scott Steven’s hit, then you better train with Coach Garner. He’s here to prepare on how to eat before sleeping so while the competition is crushing big mac’s on the way home from a 10pm men’s league game your arteries are as clear as the highway you drive to your son’s 6am practice, and you will be properly re-fueling your body so it won’t eat proteins from other muscles you already have. This podcast is great for players and coaches alike so whether you’re trying to get yourself off the pine and onto the top PP unit, or be the next Herb Brooks it is important to keep up to speed with todays research on these athletes and this is the perfect way to do it. Finally let’s say you have a kid interested in hockey but you know as little as Mike Milbury. There’s no better place to start learning than here cause Coach Garner dumbs it down and makes it idiot proof. Trust me, I understand it myself!

DevAnd81GreatGood content with science to back it all up! You read whatever your looking for online, but without true evidence and facts, your just guessing. I love how there is always a reason why instead of “hey go do 10 pull ups”. Keep it up boys!
-
jterzigniGreat content!Definitely some valuable information. Coach Garner definitely knows his stuff!!! Keep it coming!

sage danglesComprehensiveExcellent. Period

WestonjamesToo much empty talkGuy rants without saying anything pertinent to the topic of the podcast. Example - episode on improving shot power: first third is why it’s not all about shot power, middle is about why not to use resistance bands to improve shot power. Only a few minutes dedicated to what one should actually do. Listened to three episodes, all we’re like this.

Sk8lite4lifeNow this is a hockey podcast! This PC is exactly what I’ve been looking for. There are way too many PCs that do “ NHL talks,” which is great. But there are plenty of us that are looking to raise our game. I am a 40 something; I’m just learning the sport and I have joined my first league. I have free-styled skated on ice and inlines for years. So I’m confident and competent on skates. But this... this is a new animal for me. I figured since I already have a solid background in skating, I can easily learn the fundamentals of the sport, right? WRONG! First of all, just because this is an “old man” league... I forget that these guys have been playing all their lives. I have never had any formal training. I knew immediately during my first scrimmage that I was about to be schooled. I was out of breath...whenever I gained possession of the puck... I would pass blindly because I didn’t know what to do. And, I didn’t understand where I needed to be at the times when I didn’t have the puck. So I’m looking fwd to more training episodes about nutrition, hydration and preparation. But hopefully you’ll have episodes with defenseman do’s and don’ts, strategies on the ice, and explaining things like what the heck is 2-1-2 forechecking, etc. etc. Thanks for a great PC team! Keep it up. Chris

CanadianCarpy44Best Hockey Training InsightI love these podcasts from Coach Garner! My daughter and I are thankful for all the valuable information on hockey training that is shared and like how it ties back into the HockeyTraining.com training content. We listen to these on the road to hockey games/tournaments. She is a youth hockey player that started the Youth Hockey training program last year and went from never playing hockey to jumping up 3 levels to the top girls travel team in Northern California, winning a Girls Western Region Silver Stick Championship and representing NorCal at State Championships for the 12U division. I use the knowledge to help coach my youth hockey players and further improve my adult league game.
-
BediksBdeksThese podcasts are great in their cited knowledge and scientific basis of design. I also just started a program from the website and am feeling the benefits after a short period of time. Thank you coach Garner and Kevin for your information and modern scientific training methods.

gmtimpeKevin & Dan are great!Excellent content, always very responsive to questions, and two darn good guys trying to grow the fastest sports on 2 feet! Thanks for all you do for beginners, youth hockey, adult benders (like me), and everyone in between. Keep up the good work.
